"always"
Layout and tutorial video by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

It is already time to present you my second inspiration of this month of January.
What better way to create a layout, colors, joy of life and nice chipboards!

"always"

I made a video tutorial that you can watch HERE

The 2Crafty chipboard used:

- Fine Word Set 1
- Doily Frames
- Thistle Shrubs

I apply a layer of white gesso on each chipboard.

First I decide my arrangement and then I start with a rub-on transfer.
Then the laser cut that will be around my photo.
I place my photo with pieces of cardboard.

I add white embossing powder on the chipboards "Doily Frame" and on the word "always".
I chose white to highlight the panels and also to frame my photo.

I hesitated for a long time to place the title but here it sounded good.

I then embellished the particle board "Thistle Shrub" with powder to emboss
"olive green" and small touches "dark green".

That I slipped in the middle of the other embellishments.
They are large and stand out well in the cluster of embellishments.

I love the effect!

I hope you can watch the video that will give you more details.

Thank you very much for your loyalty.
See you soon.

 Hello.
Emma with you today on the blog.
My project today is an industrial/steampunk vibed layout featuring 4 awesome chipboard collections.

Let's check out the chipboard used....

Fancy Clockwork Hands
Doily Frames
Steampunk Gears Medium
Elements set 1

I painted all the chipboard pieces with Black Gesso ready for colour to be added.

The chipboard is finished with a variety of gorgeous Prima waxes.

The Gold and Bronze tones with a hint of Blue really compliment the papers and photo image.

The Chipboard blends so brilliantly with metals and resin pieces too.
I love how everything works so well with the 2Crafty chipboard.

I hope you all have a great day and that today's project has inspired you to play.

Stay safe, Stay crafty, Em xx

Natural Beauty - with Emma Zappone BONUS Video

 Hello everyone.
Emma with you on the blog today and I also have a little video for you all to see this page come to life.

First though lets see the page...

And here is the awesome chipboard used....

Doily Frames
Mini Frame
Mini Triangle set

As the saying goes 'Everything old is new again' so is this page I created.
I used ideas and techniques used many years ago when I first started scrapbooking. The only thing different is I'm using 'new' products that are now on the market, and hopefully the techniques are a little more mastered..hehehe.

I used rub-ons on the base of my page and then matching some chipboard to compliment each other.
The finishes are simple, the Mina frame was primed with black gesso and then once dry I added a lovely white gold wax to the top. This lended itself to match the browner tones on the page.

I applied the same finish to the mini frame also.

The triangles were primed with white gesso and then embossed with a blue and a white powder to compliment the colour choices in the photo image.

The flow from the colours and shapes really suited this image and I love that I revisited a style I have not played with for a little while. Hopefully modernising it a little.

Check out my video to see all the elements come together, I hope you enjoy the process.

I will see you all soon.
Happy crafting.

Em xx

"Embrace Today"
By Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty friends,

It is March spring break here in Quebec (even if it's still cold winter here!), so it's the
perfect time to have fun with the kids and create new layouts to share with you!

So today, I am revealing a layout that highlights this happy, joyful mood featuring me,
Liam and Mila as we're enjoying a meal at a restaurant to kick off the vacations!

For the "Stitched Lace Border", at the bottom right in the background of
this picture, I've applied 2 coats of bronze embossing powder.

On the "11" Fina Floral Frame Set", visible at the right and top-left of the picture
, I applied golden embellishment mousse with a brush.

For the "Doily Frame" around the picture, I applied a pink embossing enamel on
the smaller frame and a white-gold embossing enamel on the larger frame.

On the "Embrace Today" title, I applied a fine coat of white embossing ink so it
lets the chipboard texture see-through. then dabbed a bit of copper embossing ink on top.

For the "Leafy Silhouettes" at the very left of the picture,
I used some acrylic rose-gold paint.

2Crafty Chipboard used in the layout:...

That's all for today! See you mid-march for my next reveal.
 Until then, have fun creating!

'Treasure' Mixed Media Layout & Video with Kripa Koushik

Hello friends,

My first project share for this month is a scrapbook layout, scroll down for a Video tutorial.

There are so many beautiful 2crafty chipboard pieces in the recent release, I was so tempted to use a handful to make this layout. Inspired by the autumn moodboards popping up in my instafeed this month, I chose to make a layout using Autumn leaves & Ivy clusters 2crafty chipboard pieces.

I love using photographs of my family & friends in my layouts and this page is no exception. The colour palette is centred around the colours in the photograph. Instead of using lace, I chose the Mandala No.2 chipboard in both 4 & 6 inches. I love how the background can be seen through the delicate chipboard. To ground the layers & cut through the pattern, Ive used a solid chipboard Formal Flourish in both the top & bottom clusters.

Here is a video tutorial of the layout.

Thank you for visiting today.
I hope you enjoyed the video tutorial.

Creative hugs,
Kripa

Two Vintage Layouts By Lisa Griffith

Hello crafty friends!! I have prepared two layouts
this month, both in my favourite vintage style.

But before we start..

'Spread Your Wings'

I love finding vintage photographs on Pinterest and this one caught my eye for the
lovely girls and the beautiful patterns in their clothes.

I used the following 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces:
'Mini Branches'
'Doily Frames'
'Birds Set'
'Leafy Shrub Set 1'

I painted the 'Birds Set' with black acrylic paint and then lightly brushed
on some metallic silver paint to give the wings some motion.

For the 'Doily Frame' and the 'Leafy Shrub Set' I embossed them both
with sparkly black embossing powder to add some shine.

And the last chipboard piece I used, the 'Mini Branches'. I firstly coated them with white gesso,
then I painted them with bright green watercolor paint and then stamped them in black ink.

'Miss Potter'

This is a photograph I found on Pinterest of Beatrix Potter with her pet mouse.
Who remembers falling in love with all of her sweet little animal characters?

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:
'Corner Thick Vine'
'Brick Panel'

For the 'Brick Panel' I kept it simple with some brown ink, and for the 'Corner Thick Vines'
I painted them white, and then splashed them with some pink mist to give it a weathered look.

I hope you have found a little inspiration today :)

'Moments' by Lisa Griffith

  Hello 2 Crafty friends!
I want to wish all of the 2 Crafty Chipboard blogs readers a very Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year! I have prepared a layout and two tags for my December projects.

'Moments'

I really love snowflakes for winter projects, and these 'Fine Snowflakes' are so delicate
and pretty. For the snowflakes and the title I applied a coat of white acrylic paint and
then while it was still wet I sprinkled on some white glitter.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

This small deer piece from the adorable 'Deer Set' was embossed with
'Midnight Gold' embossing powder and then sprinkled with glitter.

I had so much fun creating these two Christmas tags.

2 Crafty Chipboard used:

I wanted to make the chipboard piece 'Sweet Corner Holly' really stand out on my tag
and make it the focal point. I always cover my chipboard with a coat of white paint as
a base so that however you chose to alter them, the colors are really bright.
Here I painted the holly with green and red watercolors.

One of my most favourite ways to alter chipboard is to use metallic embossing powders.
Here I embossed the snowflake and ornate frame in copper and aged gold to give them
 an aged rusted look.

There are so many beautiful 2 Crafty Christmas themed chipboard designs to suit every project.
I love how my tags turned out, can't wait to attach them to a gift :)

Thanks for looking, until next time!
