'Hold Tight' by Emma Zappone

Hello Everyone 😊

Hope you are all having a great day.

Today's share is another 9x9 layout creation, featuring soft muted tones,
to finish the winter season off.

Here are the awesome chipboard pieces used....

Framed Botanical
Funky Heart Swirl
Daisy Flowers

Keeping the finishes simple yet effective, I started by prepping them all with white Gesso.

The Funky Swirls got a coat of Distress Glaze, one in each colour.

I love the shine the glaze gives the chippy.

The Daisy Flowers have a similar finish to the swirls. Except with these I added a stencil and some modelling paste to add texture before adding the glaze.

The Botanical Frame is just gorgeous!
I painted this with a matching acrylic paint and left it with a matte finish.
I then cut it in half to fit around my composition.

The chipboard pieces work so well with this colour tone and design.

I hope you have been inspired to create something different, or use a different medium.

I look forward to sharing with you in the new month.

Till next time, Stay Crafty, Em xx

'Your Heart, My Heart' - by Emma Zappone

 Hello 2Crafty friends.
Em with you today, and I'm finishing the month off with a little 'foxy' layout.

Using beautiful soft earthly, autumn tones this page features some stunning chipboard elements.

Lets check out which pieces I chose here......

Mini Branches
Chicken Wire Barbed small
Stitched Lace Border

I decided to keep a couple of the chipbord pieces simple by painting them with an acrylic paint.

The chicken wire, was painted in an orange acrylic with a sepia wax brushed over the top.

The stunning Lace Border was started with a cream acrylic and then finished with a light coating of Firebird wax.

I also cut the border into smaller parts to use in two locations.

And those wonderful very versatile branches were initially painted with acrylic, but I wanted a shiny finish so chose to add metallic foiling flakes for a real shine.

I really love how the foil flakes add a little more drama and autumn shimmer.

I hope this page inspires you a little. Thanks so much for joining me today.

See you again next week.
Em xx

'Poetry' - by Emma Zappone

Hello 2Crafty friends.
Em with you today on this fine Thursday.
The Layout I'm sharing today features mini and fine chipboard pieces, they may
be small but they are always amazing.

These are the pieces used amongst my layers....

BeeYOUtiful Set
Mini Embroidery Hoops set
6" Parisian Border mini

I love playing small. They add just a special part to my projects.

I used the Hexagon elements from the BeeYOUtiful set, cutting them up to get the most out of the pieces. These are simply painted with Black Gesso, I kept one raw as a slight contrast.

I used 2 of the Embroidery Hoops from the set, these were painted in Black Gesso and once dry I added a White Gold wax to compliment the antique tones in the paper layers.

The stunning Parisian Border had a similar finish as the hoops just with one extra wax to deepen the tones a little more. These were cut into 3 pieces and added as borders around the composition.

This image is one I found on Pinterest, one of many awesome images. Sadly I couldn't find the artist's name for this one, but it's amazing and so inspiring to me.

I love all these 'Mini' chipboard pieces together, delicate and pretty.

Thanks for joining me today.

I will see you all again very soon, until then,  stay Crafty.

Em xx

Woodland Fun!! - by Chrissy Tingey

Hi everyone,
I couldn’t wait to play with this set of chipboards - the "12inch “Fine Floral” set -
wow!!! you get so much in this
pack….and I still have some pieces left over
for another project.

I created my base by using two sheets of paper, then matted the central "wood slice" paper on top,
some stitching around the edges in a coordinating thread colour
just adds a little something extra to the layout.

I had the perfect colour ink pad that coordinated with the teal paper, so inked all
those wonderful chipboards, inking with a pad was really quick
and easy.

I fussy cut lots of beautiful floral and foliage elements from various papers and also
stamped and fussy cut the teal flowers to bring all the
colours together.

Chipboard used:

12 inch Fine Floral Set.
Iron Gates.

I framed my photo by using the gorgeous Iron Gates chipboard, then matted this
to the centre of my layout. I then arranged all my fussy cut elements around
the edges of my photo. I tucked the main section of the
Fine Floral set in and around the bottom left hand cluster of
fussy cut elements.

Don’t be afraid to cut into your chipboards, any pieces that would
be covered I try and cut them out and use else where on the layout, for example: the little flourish
pieces.

I love how these chipboards work perfectly alongside the fussy cut and layered flowers -
a tiny colour coordinated rhinestone to the centre of the chipboard flower
sets it off beautifully.

I highly recommend these wonderful floral sets, there is so much in them, they would be great on a
double page spread as the main feature.

Thanks for stopping by, you can find lots more close-ups of this layout over on my Instagram page

“A Pop of Colour”
Layout By Chrissy Tingey

Hi everyone, today I have this project to share with you, I chose to
use a royalty free image with this layout, the colours were stunning and bright, just
perfect for the layout and chipboard I had in mind.

2Crafty Chipboard Used?....
Flower Petals
Mini Word Set 1
Heart Frame with flowers

I started off by painting the gorgeous "Frame Heart with Flowers”
pure white to coordinate with some of my fussy cut embellishments,
it has some very cute little flowers attached to it, I cut
these off and repositioned them so they
are seen poking out from my fussy cut flowers

I  then painted those fabulous large “Flower Petals” chipboard in a vibrant
red colour - matching the colour of the flowers in my photo.

I Love the “Mini Word Set” sometimes I just want to add a tiny title, these are
perfect for doing just that - this is also painted in a coordinating colour.
I have enjoyed adding a splash of colour by painting my chipboard in
that bright red to coordinate with my photo, it sure makes a statement!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you to add some bright colours
to your chipboard, I'll be back next month with two
more projects.

Floral Beauty Layout
By Chrissy Tingey

Hi everyone,
Chrissy here with another layout for you, featuring fussy cutting and chipboard layers.

For this layout I wanted to keep the beautiful chipboard raw, I love the pale
grey colour of it and think it works perfectly with my layout colours.

2Crafty Chipboard used :

Mini Wordlet Set 1
Funky Leaf Swirls
Fine & Fancy Butterflies
Mini Foliage Set 6
Border Venetian Lace

I love using the border chipboards and the Venetian Lace is just stunning! - I added this across the centre of my layout and added a few teeny tiny hot pink pearls along the length of it.

Once my layout is assembled and all the fussy cutting is arranged around my photo, I then tucked the cute mini Foliage sprays and Funky Leaf Swirls in and around the fussy cut clusters, I love shaping my fussy cut florals, so I have also slightly shaped and moulded the chipboard.

I can’t resist a beautiful butterfly…oh my, the Fine & Fancy Butterflies are just devine…with a set of three I have layered them up and a small hot pink pearl added to the centre finishes it off.

I don’t often add titles to my layouts, but I do love the Mini wordlets and added the
wordlet  “Amazing” to my photo from the set.

I hope I have inspired you today using these wonderful chipboard products,
I will be back later in the month with another project….featuring a beautiful circle frame

"Pretty in Pink" By Chrissy Tingey

Hi everyone, I'm back with my second post for January featuring
some wonderful flourishes & border chipboards.

2Crafty Chipboard used…

Maggie’s Swirls
Flourish Adornment set 4
Fanciful Butterflies
Lacy Border set 1

I love the beautiful Lacy Border Set and wanted to show them all off, so I hope
my layout “design” has achieved this, the lacy border chipboards make such
pretty edges to the different paper sections.
With a quick coat of black acrylic paint they then coordinate beautifully.

I have used both sets of Flourishes and tucked them in and around my fussy
cut elements, I cut some of the bits off that would have been hidden and
dotted these around my layout to make good use of them.

I can never resist a butterfly, painted with black acrylic paint again to coordinate,
the beautiful "Fanciful butterflies" finish off my layout, there are two sizes in the pack,
so I have layered them up to give some height and dimension
to my layout, I have then added a tiny pearl to each. They look so pretty.

I hope you have enjoyed my post and layout and I hope I have inspired you
to use those pretty border chipboards

Thank you for stopping by - happy crafting!!
I’ll be back next month with two more projects
