Choose Happy by Tania Ridgwell

Hi there!

Tania joining you today to share the first of my DT projects for July. 
 I have created a layout. 

"Choose Happy"

2 Crafty Chipboard Used:

*Choose Happy

*Boho Floral Clusters

*Flower Doilies

I have used the gorgeous Uniquely Creative 'While Away' Collection to create the base for my layout.  

I first painted the Choose Happy & Flower Doily chippies with a coat of Gesso.  Once dry I added a little amount of Vibrant Turquoise Dylusions Paint to some gesso and then randomly dabbed this onto the chippie pieces.  The Boho Floral Clusters I have left raw.

I added some fussy cut tags from the "While Away" collection under my photo.  I cut the Flower Doily chippie in half and tucked a half along each side of my photo.  I added fussy cut flowers and paper blooms to the top and bottom of my photo and tucked a raw Boho Floral Cluster chippie into each of these.   I finished off my page by adding the Choose Happy chippie to the bottom left of my layout.

This layout featuring a selfie I had taken from 1 of my FAVES spots

 I have visited time & time again over the yrs...

Let's start with one of my ALL TIME FAVE

  (well most of the 2 Crafty Chipboard designs are my faves lol!)

These gorgeous Lattice Leaves, I have simply inked them with green ink & 

placed them amoungst my flower clusters...

Next up is the smaller Compass from the set of 2, 

where I have inked this with a grey

And lastly is for my title..

'create your own sunshine 2023' from the 6x4 Phrase Stick Set 5

Inking this with a orange & finishing off with of course the year 2023 

inking this with yellow...

I am super happy with how this has turned out,

Sweet love by Robin Schelin

Hi everyone, Robin back again to share my latest layout.

Puppies are the sweetest little things! Except for babies. But since I have a boat load of puppies around (because of the Rescue) and no babies, I tend to want to scrapbook them. This photo just melted my heart because you can just see the love.

As always, I first primed my chipboard with Gesso.

On the top of the photo is the word 'Sweet' from the Card Word Pack - Friendship.  I think this photo is  just so sweet that I had to use it. I painted it with White Acrylic Paint.

At the left of the photo I added a cluster of flowers, tucking in a couple of the Leafy Silhouettes. I painted them with 'Moss' from the Prima Confetti Watercolor Set. 

On the right bottom of the photo, I used a couple more of the Leafy Silhouettes in this flower cluster to balance with the top left. They were also painted with 'Moss' from the Watercolor Set. I love these little leaves. Different than solid leaves which I think adds more interest.

Underneath the whole composition is the fabulous 12x12 Stacked Filmstrips. Such a great background for this layout. I painted it with Parchment Acrylic Paint mixed with just a little bit of Pewter. Then I dabbed over it randomly with White Gesso. I love how it adds a subtle touch of color.

Then the main title, love. That is what this photo says to me. Just toooo sweet! I painted the title with White Acrylic Paint to match the word 'Sweet' at the top. And because the puppy is white too!

Mediterranean memories enjoying The Good Life together. Split the title

up for something different. Such a fresh looking layout.

12x12 Clock Face Frames

The title was rubbed with wax in Blue and then some White Gold added 

randomly. It was cut into pieces to draw your eye across the layout to read

it. A Design element piece was tucked under the floral pieces. It was rubbed

with wax which highlights the Gesso sponged on texture. Foliage piece

pops on top with the bright yellow.

Second half of the title sits on a chipboard Heart that had some

printed paper glued to it and then sanded the edges.

The outer Heart pice had printed paper glued to it and the edges sanded.

Ephemera was added and then a Filagree Arrow placed across for a little

love. It was covered with White Gold wax.

The clock face in the background represents a moment in time

captured to remember forever. It has the same treatment as the title.

Another Design Elements piece ,placed under the Foliage which was

watercoloured to make them stand out on my layout. I love the bright

yellow against the blue. Papers by Mintay which are lovely and bright.

"Cute" Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I present to you my first inspiration for this month of July.

A soft and romantic layout with a photograph of my grandson Milan.

For this layout, I opted for the use of mini-chipboards.

"Cute"

The chipboard used:

I'm using three separate mini frames. They're perfect for showcasing the beautiful embellishments from the "Little Dreamer" collection designed by Joanne Bain.

I start by applying a coat of white gesso. For the frame on the left, I'm using "Bronze Age" and "White Gold" waxes. I add a piece of "mini lattice bits" and the word "Cute," which are simply covered by the white gesso.

The other two frames were embellished with "Distress Oxide" inks in "vintage photo" color.

To achieve different shades, I spray them with water.

Here, I'm creating a cluster by adding these sublime "bush-nut floral clusters".

I'm using the shades "black soot" and "faded jeans".

There is no complexity in this layout. 

An assortment of exceptional products.

I started this layout off with a mixed media background 

& lots of lovely layers, including the photos,

all the fabulous chipboard pieces and lots of gorgeous flowers.

I have base coated the title & the border chipboards with a coat of
white gesso before finishing them off with some paints.

Next came the beautiful NEW release foliage pieces.

I simply gave them a light inking with some 

Distress Ink. Doesn't get much easier than that !!

That title, "This Face Makes My Heart Smile"

kind of says it all. The perfect title for my photos!!

I looove it.

 The first set of pages are of their wedding.

Above I have added the lovely Decorative Circle Accents with a Word Circle (together) popped into the middle and one of the Decroative Dangling Accents down the left of the photo.

Beaded Hanging Heart pieces have been used on the next few pages.

The next set of pages are of the two them over the years.

The lovely new Cherri's Border and another Decorative Dangling Accent 

More Beaded Hanging Heart and Photo Adornment -Element 3 pieces used over the next few pages.

I like continuity and used the same chipboard pieces per set of pages

The next set of pages are of their oldest daughter growing up then with her family

The next few pages I have used lots of Flourish style pieces and some foliage as well as a

couple of titles.

The next set of pages are of my husband as a child then of us as a family

For this set of pages, I used more masculine pieces and loved cutting up pieces from Decorative Panels, like the Square Collage Panel and the Bright Dot Panel

Now I've added some Mini Lattice Pieces, Circle Lace and Decorative Circle Accents

and finally, the last set of pages are of the youngest as a kid and then with his family

For these pages, I've added some Mini Funky Chunky Bits, with some more flourish pieces
 and Bubble Clumps
