Let's Explore
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I'm lucky enough to be able to present you with a third inspiration for this July.
A summery layout featuring a sandbar, the sea, and a photograph of my granddaughter
playing in the sand.

"Let's Explore"

The chipboard used:

I apply a layer of white gesso to each chipboard, then use Distress Oxide inks to decorate them.
I start with the "antique linen" shade for this original frame titled "dotted polaroid frame."
To add depth to the overall effect, I raise the frame with cardboard.

I use a piece from "seaweed set 1" that I stain with "vintage photo" and "walnut stain" to give it a wood look. They look alike, don't they?

The bottom of the layout is completed with a "corner crackle" chipboard and a title made with a mix of "peacock feathers" and "salty ocean" colors.

I love transforming these particle boards.
Thank you very much, see you soon!

today
by Robin Schelin

Hi everyone. Glad you could drop by.

Today I'm sharing my last layout for the month of July. Can you believe it's almost August already? Before you know it, Summer will be over (or Winter for all of you down under) and it will be Christmas!  I swear, the older I get, the faster time flies.

Anyway, today's layout is very feminine. Seems that's my jam. I've tried to create masculine layouts, but I have to, and I mean HAVE to use flowers on my layouts. It just doesn't work for me when I try flowers on a masculine layout. Some people can make it rock, I'm not one of them! So I'll just stick with what I can do... feminine layouts.

today

2Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

Bubble Clumps

Squiggly Circle Arrow Journaling Spots

today - Loopy Font

As always, I prime my chipboard with Gesso. A good habit to get into I think.

I love these little Bubble Clumps. I think they add just the right amount of whimsy. I've added a small piece under the flowers at the top right. I painted with the 'Disco' color from the Prima Shimmering Lights Water Color Set.

Here at the bottom of the photo on the left is one of the bigger Bubble Clump pieces. This was painted the same way as the one up on the right. I chose this color to play off the color of the flowers, and also the color of her shirt. I try to use at least one of the colors in the photo to match the embellishments with. I think it flows better.

These Squiggle Circle Arrow Journaling Spots are fabulous!! I have used them a few times before  because I love them! They are so unique and add soooo much interest. I have also added a clock behind them before as well. Why? Because it works. These little squiggles were made to house a clock. This was also painted with 'Disco' from the Prima Shimmering Lights Watercolor Set.

I kept the title simple, just using one word. I painted today with White Acrylic Paint. Just a very light coat of paint so as to not be too stark of a white. I wanted it to be 'not solid white' just like the frames around the photos. Make sense?

Well, that's it for me today. I hope I've inspired you to create feminine layouts if you don't already. If you are a masculine layout scrapper, I envy you! Maybe you could give me some pointers!

Until next time

xx

Journey
By Charmane Sharp

While in Athens we dined next to an old train all decked out in its
original vintage glamour. Therefore an elegant vintage feel was
required for my layout.

2crafty Chipboard used...

Photo Adornment- Element set 3
Fine Word set 3
Corner Jacqui's Flourish
Large Berry Stem

I cut the top off the Element piece and placed the smaller bit under the left
flowers and the larger piece on the right. They add some elegance with their
detail. They were coloured with Distress oxides Aged Mahogany and
lightened with Picket Fence sponged on for contrast.
My title was heat embossed in White so it would stand out on top of the
shades of Pink.

After fussy cutting the frame out I placed another Element piece behind
it for a unique embellishment that I love. Such a cute idea.

Adding some ornateness to the corner of the frame is Jacqui's Flourish.
It was coloured with Distress Oxide Tattered Rose and Picket Fence for
colour variance. Then I stamped with Versamark and a texture stamp.
Heat embossed with Wow Dappled pink.

I cut the second one into two pieces so one was added to each side
of my layout coming out from the fussy cut cluster along with pieces
of the Large Berry Stem. They were coloured with Aged Mahogany
mixed with Picket Fence for a lighter shade and some Picket Fence
sponged on once dry.

By cutting the Berry Stem into various sizes I was able to add details
around the layout easily. I hope you can see by cutting your chipboard
you can have more to play with. My papers are by Scrapandme.
Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time...

Memories - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!
I am back to share my next layout!
A masculine layout I created of my husband, stepson and friend working on Sebastian's motor.

2Crafty Products used;

Harlequin Clumps
Line Words Good Times
Grungy Splatter Bits
Mini Checkerboard Bits
Steampunk Gears Small
Steampunk Gears Medium
Steampunk Gear Border
Hanging Steampunk Lightbulb Set

I covered all of the chipboard pieces with texture paste then I began painting, misting and inking each piece

I used pumpkin impasto paint first then added some blue brusho powder and Lindy's cattail brown mist.  I wanted each piece to be different.

To highlight the texture on each chipboard piece I dry brushed white paint and then added some art stones that I dyed to match.

I wanted the title to stand out from grungy background and to accomplish that I painted a few coats of the pumpkin impasto paint then heat embossed it with orange embossing powder.

Let's start with the GORGEOUS Star Dream Catcher (from the most recent new release)
I have simply given this catcher a thick coat of gesso...
I think this looks Sooooo good

(now some of you may have notice that, the feather from the right side is missing 😓 from the bottom of the catcher, I somehow seem to have lost it when putting my layout together 😖  it does come with all 3 feathers)

Next up is the date & well I decided it is my title for this layout😁
I have inked the Fine word June with a lovely pink using Tim Holtz - Kitsch Flamingo
& the 2021 with another Tim Holtz ink aged Mahogany...

And lastly for the ATC - Tint hearts
I have inked them using the same Tim Holtz - Kitsch Flamingo & Aged Mahogany inks

That's is it from me for this month

"love you long time"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

Here's my second inspiration for July.
A nature-themed layout using this lovely "woodland set" chipboard.

"love you long time"

The chipboard used:

Surprisingly, I don't apply gesso to the chipboards!
And, I start my layout from the bottom up.

To decorate each chipboard, I use Distress Oxide inks. For the "woodland set" chipboard, I apply several shades of brown to achieve a harmonious finish.
I then add a "stain" pattern using a stamp to add an extra touch of texture.

To add more texture to my arrangement, I added the "Diamond Chunks" chipboard using the "Worn Lipstick" shade. I started by applying a thin layer of white gesso, then proceeded to apply the color evenly.
I used the "rustic wilderness" and "mode lawn" shades to decorate the "ivi clusters" chipboards. It had been a while since I had used them. With a few strawberry embellishments, they fit in with the decor.

I cut out the "love you long time" chipboard, decorate it, then place it in a staggered pattern.

I am happy with the result and I hope you like it and find it inspiring.

"Tiny Fingers Tiny Toes"
Layout
with Amy Voorthuis

Hello and good morning lovely 2Crafty friend.

How wonderful of you all to stop by the 2Crafty blog, this is my first layout for the month of July. A while back I posted a layout of sweet little Phoenix {Jaime my cousin} her boy who tragically lost his life way to soon. The moment that happened Jaime was pregnant with a baby boy who was born on April 1st 2025, this was such a happy moment after such tragedy. His name is Bowden Dylan and I made a layout of this cute baby boy who looks so much like his big brother.
Enjoy my post....

Tiny Fingers Tiny Toes:

Gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard used:
Filmstrips - Tiny
Tiny Fingers Toes Title
 Mini Buttons
2025's
Foliage Set 13
Love You Balloons
Circle Arrow Journal Spots
Fine Word Set - Months
Baby Pram Set
Filigree Arrows
6" Circle Revolution Frames
Circle Heart Frames

I just love all the new chipboard pieces, especially those cute heart balloons with that "Love You" text you can use those on every layout you create it is so versatile. I treated the chippies with some white gesso and some of my aqua/alcohol twin markers. Which is so super easy if you don't want it to dark you use the aqua and if you want it a shade darker you use the alcohol markers.

It was a long time ago that I created and I missed it so much. I cut the cute tittle here so it would fit my layout and I put the heart in my flower cluster on the bottom of that cute picture. By the way I spray painted the pretty new leaves {love them a lot my new favorite}

Hope you all enjoyed my post thank you so much for stopping by, I will be back with another project soon hope to see you back then....
