"Embrace Today"
By Marie Claude Rodier

Hi everyone,

Red is one of my favorite colors, but also one I don’t really use on my layouts, except
during Christmas time. However when combined with blue and white, it creates an
amazing contrast. I really love the pop of vibrant color it adds to my chipboard title.

Embrace Today

"Embrace Today"   title was first embossed with a glossy red powder and
 thereafter white washed with gesso.

The "Avery Frame" was painted with dark, medium and light blue acrylic paints.
A few touches of white gesso were also added afterward.

The "Flourish Adornment Set 5" pieces were painted with blue liquid acrylic
 and highlighted with gesso.

"Embrace Today"
By Karan Gerber

Hello 2 Crafty Fans and welcome to the blog!
Karan Gerber hosting the blog today and I have a layout to share with you.

The Ornate Gateway was cut in half and set on either side of my photo,
heat embossed with ancient amber baked embossing powder dabbed a bit of
rust paint here and here, and added some gold antique wax.

The Mini Corner set I thought would look great to adorn the corner of the photo, I heat set
this with Baked Embossing powder called sand and it blends in with the photo so beautifully.

The Parisian Border was cut to fit the side of  my photo mat layers, I also
heat embossed that with Ancient Amber & dabbed a bit of turquoise wax .

Showing you a detail image of the right side of the layout and how beautifully
the chipboard pieces work to enhance the dimension and texture of the project.

I hope you have enjoyed my project and thank you for dropping by today.

"Embrace Today"
By Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty friends,

It is March spring break here in Quebec (even if it's still cold winter here!), so it's the
perfect time to have fun with the kids and create new layouts to share with you!

So today, I am revealing a layout that highlights this happy, joyful mood featuring me,
Liam and Mila as we're enjoying a meal at a restaurant to kick off the vacations!

For the "Stitched Lace Border", at the bottom right in the background of
this picture, I've applied 2 coats of bronze embossing powder.

On the "11" Fina Floral Frame Set", visible at the right and top-left of the picture
, I applied golden embellishment mousse with a brush.

For the "Doily Frame" around the picture, I applied a pink embossing enamel on
the smaller frame and a white-gold embossing enamel on the larger frame.

On the "Embrace Today" title, I applied a fine coat of white embossing ink so it
lets the chipboard texture see-through. then dabbed a bit of copper embossing ink on top.

For the "Leafy Silhouettes" at the very left of the picture,
I used some acrylic rose-gold paint.

That's all for today! See you mid-march for my next reveal.
 Until then, have fun creating!

Embrace Today - with Karan Gerber

HI Friends, its Karan Gerber back to share some Christmas layout
Inspiration with you, using some fabulous 2 Crafty Chipboard.

"Embrace Today"

I loved the titles from 2Crafty, they have some incredible detail and perfect to showcase
those special photos.  Here is a close up of the title detail on this project.

I inked the title with aged mahogany distress ink, dabbed a bit of wax,
sprinkled some frosting powder and heat set.

The  foliage set 5 and the leafy  shrub I colored with Cosmic Shimmer, dabbed a bit of
vintage gold wax and sprinkled again with a bit of frosting powder.

The brick chipboard I did a coat of white gesso and sprinkled frosting powder.  I cut
the brick apart and added it as a detail layer and added it in random spots on the project.

I tucked the leafy shrubs in under the flower layers, love how they turned out.

Under the title I have added a bit of the brick chipboard and dabbed a bit of vintage
gold wax. You can see a leaf set from the Foliage set tucked in under the photo too.

I hope you enjoyed my project today and I look forward to inspiring you again next month.

May Inspiration with Elisa Ablett

"Embrace Today''

Hi 2Crafty lovers,

Elisa here from the design team with my first inspiration for May.
I am sharing with you my mixed media layout featuring loads of layers,
a distress foil technique
and a bit of an unusal colour scheme.

I don't do a lot of feminine layouts but when I do, I like to add
distressing and a bit of grunge.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard pieces -

Embrace Today - Title
Fine Heart border pieces
Leafy Twig Branches
Square Frames

Let's take a closer look at the chipboard featured on the layout !

For our first piece, the title - Embrace Today
I decided to do a two toned heat embossed technique.
Firstly you heat emboss with your black powder and while still
hot sprinkle your gold powder over the top and heat again.

The second pieces that I featured on my layout are 'Leafy twig branches'
These pieces are perfect for layering with your flower stamps.

I hand painted my chipboard in various colours to match my layout then
using a glue stick I rubbed glue onto the ends of the branches.
then layered gold foil flakes over the glue. Let dry, then using
a large stiff paintbrush - brush off the excess gold flakes.

I used the same distress foil technique with my layered square frames.

The last featured chipboard piece is a gorgeous very fine hearts border
which I inked very carefully with black ink. Perfect for adding depth and texture
to your borders.

You can find a 2Crafty chipboard stockist nearest to you

That's it from me today,

Stay tuned for later in the month for my next post !

Hugs

Elisa xx

Tammy's March Shares....

Hello 2 Crafty Fans!!
Tammy here to share my March creations with you all.
My first creation is titled..

"#Funtimes"

A layout that documents our last night at our annual holiday at a
beach in Port Elliott, South Australia.
This place is really special to us and on the last night we all have a lot of fun
hanging out together as the sun goes down.  Definitely something I wan to capture
and remember.
 "2 Crafty Chipboard Used:
"Today is Perfect Title
"Element Set 1"
"Crazy Stitched Panel"
"ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars"

I painted the "Crazy Stitched Panel" in black and trimmed this down.

I love using this to give my background some texture.

I painted the "Today is Perfect title" in yellow paint and then heat embossed i
t with clear embossing powder to give it a sheen/resin like finish.

I did the same to the "Element Set 1".

I love the effect of this. That yellow is just gorgeous.

I applied some jade green paint to a few of the stars from the "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars"
and again heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I love the pops of colour that the chipboard gives this layout.

My second creation is titled:

"Embrace Today"

This layout celebrates my gorgeous daughter and two of our very special family friends who
now live a long way away, however we were lucky enough to have some time with them recently.

Definitely a day to scrap and remember forever.

 2 Crafty Chipboard Used:
"Embrace Today Title"
"Mini Branches"
"Handrawn flowers"
"6" Circle Revolution Frames"
"Word Circles - Christmas"

I began by painting all of the Chipboard in a couple of coats of white gesso.

I then added some watercolours to the "Mini Branches".
I used a few different colours.

I also used a black pen to outline a few of the leaves and to add a few dots.

I added white paint to the "6" Revolution Frames" and the two circles
from the "Christmas Word Circles Set".
This gave them a crisp finish.

I did the same to the "Embrace Today title", and then I added yellow paint to the today part.

I really love doing this to the 2Crafty titles when they have two different fonts.

I then outlined a few of the letters in today, and added some dots with a Sharpie.
I like the whimsical look this creates.

Finally I painted some of the leaves from the "Handrawn Flowers" in black paint.

I really like the contrast this gives against the other leaves.

I have an extra share for you all today.

I created this one for Scrap the Girls this month and it's called:

"#Fun Times"

 2 Crafty Chipboard Used
"Hashtag Word Set 2"
"Polaroid Frame Set"
"Dotty Bits"

I painted the "Dotty Bits" in blue paint.

I painted the "Funtimes" title from the "Hashtag Word Set 2" in red paint.

The frame from the "Polaroid Assorted Frames" was painted in a yellow.

Scrap the Girls have a moodboard colour and theme challenge at the moment, and here it is:

So now you understand my colour choices and photo choice!!

So that's it from me for March.

I will be back next month to inspire you some more,
until then you can see more at my blog HERE

Have a lovely month full of scrappy goodness!
