"Fun in the Sun"
Layout and tutorial by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

Here is my second inspiration for this month of August.
Back from a scorching summer, I really wanted to create a playful and sunny layout,
as the title I chose indicates.
The photos show my grandson, Milan, on his first vacation.
I love the contrast of the color of his hat.

"Fun in the Sun"

I made a video tutorials that you can watch HERE

The chipboard used:

To begin, I apply a layer of white gesso.

With you, I'm testing the new Ranger inks from 49 and Market.
Each color is mentioned in the video, which you can watch on the YouTube channel.
It’s the first time I use the chipboards "Sea Creatures Set 1".
I find them really adorable, and they match perfectly with my baby photos.

Following the first base layer, I proceed with the finishes by adding more shades to improve the hue.
Playing with these inks is pure joy!

I relied on the colors of the ball, and I must admit that I am satisfied with the result.

I really like the whimsy of this title. It fits perfectly into my layout.

Watching the video is a good way to get more detail.

Thank you very much!

Day At The Beach - Laura Gilhuly - Tutorial

 Hi everyone!
I'm back today to share my newest layout for 2Crafty and a small tutorial on how I
created this layout and altered the fabulous chipboard!

2Crafty Products used

Seashells Set 2

Day At The Beach

Seaweed Set 1

Part of my creative process is to gather all the products I may need even if I don't use them all

I used

2Craftys seashells

2Crafty day at the beach title

2Crafty Seaweed set

1-12" sheet of paper

3 - 6" squares

4 - tags

1 - 5" circle and 3" circle - cut the 3" circle in half

1 - die cut banner

3 - 12" paper strips cut from the end of papers or 1/4" cut in half

a few fussy cut flowers/branches/leaves

stencil

modeling paste

clear gesso

edge distresser or scissors

heat gun

sand paper  (I used 100 grit)

Step 1 - paint all your 2Crafty chipboard with coordinating colors to your paper. Allow to dry or heat set. I used white, blue, and brown.  I had to mix paints together to get my desired colors.

Step 2 - Paint all the 2Crafty chipboard a second color - not the same as your bottom coat

Step 3 - using your sandpaper, sand some of the top coat of paint off so the bottom layer and some of the chipboard shows through.  It will look something like this;

Step 4 - Cover your background paper with clear gesso

Step 5 -apply your stencil using modeling paste in various spots on your paper and heat set

Step 6 - Use your edge distresser on all papers

Step 7 - Layer your tags, then your 3 sheets of 6" paper and circle and your photo

Step 8 - Cut your paper strips to desired lengths and apply to top and bottom of your project along with cut circle, images and a seashell

Step 9 - add your banner and create your cluster using your 2 crafty chipboard on the right side of your photo

Step 10 - Add a couple of die cuts/fussy cut images then your title and your seashells

Hope I have inspired you to create!

"Sweet Moment"
Layout and tutorial video by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

Here we are already in May, and it is time to present my first inspiration.

A layout with mochromatic, pink and romantic decor.

"Sweet Moment"

I made a video tutorial that you can watch HERE

The 2Crafty chipboard used:

- Sweet Moment
- Kara's Oval Frame
- Feather Outline Set

I always start by applying a layer of white gesso to each chipboard.

I chose this new chipboard  "Kara’s Oval Frame" which perfectly frames my photo on which I pass a layer of metal wax "White Gold" to stay in the colors of the mane of the horse.

I process the same way on the chipboards "Feather Outline Set".

After placing my photo I create two clusters of embellishments starting with the feathers while being careful not to hide them. They’re so fine and elegant.

For the title I embellish it randomly with powder to emboss in shades of pink.

For this I use a stamp with stains that I print with watermark ink.

I hope that all this pink will not hurt your eyes too much and that you will find some
inspiration in this layout.

To know how I created this layout, do not hesitate to watch the video.

See you soon and thank you again for your loyalty.

"Beauty Within" by Elena Martynova
LAYOUT+ VIDEO TUTORIAL

Hi Everyone!

It's Elena here and today I have a layout for you that
features my favorite chipboards from 2Crafty!
As a background, I took a piece of paper from the new collection
"TWINKLE OF SUNRISE" from Craft o'clock.
In the video you can see the entire process of creating a layout.
It was pretty fast and very fun for me.

First of all, I want to draw your attention to these wonderful word strips with inscriptions.
They have such a wonderful size that you can use them in layouts, cards and albums.
I really like the inscriptions on them - they are universal and suitable for all my works.

I also love the background chipboard. I divide it into fragments and put it in various places.
 This creates a multi-layered and multi-detailed environment.
In this layout, I used two small pieces from Fencing Wire Panel

Secondly, I just love the Compass chip. I covered it with embosser powder
to add texture and gloss. Also lifted on a piece of cardboard to make all the elements
seem more voluminous.

Aren't these birds lovely? And how well they fit the background sheet
and the entire composition as a whole! I painted them first with white paint,
and then lightly tinted them with gold, Golden brown and glitter paste.

See what 2Crafty chippies were useful to me in this layout:

Thank you for visiting, have a lovely crafty day!

ATC "Girls"by Elena Martynova with a Video Tutorial

Hello there lovely creative friends!
Today I'd like to share with you my brand new inspiration -
a mixed media ATC with lovely amazing 2Crafty products!

I have long wanted to make such cards, so that they have a basis
the background chipboard and main decor are also made of chipboard.

The result is not standard ATC but the so-called Free Form ATC.
Their size is about 7 x 9 cm, a little more than necessary,
but the shape is not rectangular, but with cut-off patterned edges.

For the basics I divided the Arrows Panel into 4 parts

Hope you like and I have video for you to watch if you would like to see my process:

I painted the chipboard with black paint on both sides.
Added interesting details using stamps and embossing powder.

Here you can see a few more photos:

Decorated with 49 & Market flowers and cut paper flowers and leaves.

The letters were tinted with purple spray, but it gave an interesting greenish glow.

Added toppings and glitter mousse.
Without the figures of little girls, my cards looked like
not complete, so I stuck them on.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

Thank you so much for visiting us today,
I hope you enjoyed your time here and
will be visiting us again in the near future.

Cheers, Elena.
