December Inspiration by Lisa Griffith

Hello 2 Crafty friends, I hope everyone is enjoying all the holiday preparations.
Today's post will be my last for 2 Crafty Chipboard and I want to say that I have
had such fun working with these wonderful chipboards!
It has been a wonderful team to be on and I will miss you all :)
For my December post I wanted to create something wintery
and sparkly with a touch of whimsy.

'Merry Christmas'

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Deer Set'
'Merry Christmas Script Card Pack'
'Corner Twisted Vines'
'Holly Vine Wreath'

I couldn't resist adding a piece of the 'Deer Set' that fit my photo perfectly.

With all the pieces I used for this page I painted them white and then while still wet I
sprinkled on some white glitter to make them sparkly.

My second project is a pair of Christmas tags. I love using these as a really special touch
to a wrapped Christmas present. Everyone loves something really unique and handmade.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Mina Frame'
'Corner Holly Vines'
'St. Nick's Snowflakes'

There are so many beautiful Christmas themed chipboard pieces, it's so hard to choose!
For the 'Mina Frame' and the 'Holly Vines' I painted them white and then embossed them
with glittery pink embossing powder, to continue on with a delicate shabby icy theme.

My last project to share is a page I created for a challenge blog called 'Mistress Owl'.

'Peace'

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Moroccan Bits'
'Stellar Snowflakes'

Thank you so much Vanessa for having me on the team, I really enjoyed sharing my
work with you all, and I hope I have  inspired you a little!
You can always find me posting my projects on my blog at
www.thepaperattic.blogspot.com.

Big hugs,
Lisa xo

November Inspiration by Lisa Griffith

Hello 2 Crafty Chipboard friends, it's Lisa here to share my projects for November.

'Today & Everyday'

Imagine my delight when one of the newest pieces of 2 Crafty Chipboard is another pretty
version of a dandelion, I love them! I always love the title pieces too, this one is perfect.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:
'Whispy Dandelions'
'Today & Everyday'
'Lavender Shrub'
'ATC Words'

Except for the ATC piece 'Dream' at the top of my page that I painted black,
I treated all my chippies the same way with white acrylic paint to make them
stand out against my background.

My second project is a page in my art journal.

'Follow Your Instinct'

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:
'Frames Tiny Henri's'
'Viney Page Frame'
'Marianne's Butterflies'

I cut up a piece of the 'Viney Page Frame' and painted it in some 13 arts paint,
and then I used some Prima acrylic paint in gold to paint my 'Tiny Henri's Frame'
and one of the 'Marianne's Butterflies', love how it turned out.

Thanks for looking,
Hugs, Lisa xo

October Inspiration By Lisa Griffith

'Love'

Hi 2Crafty fans, Lisa here with my projects for this month. First up is a really
shabby pink layout I created about my grandparents using lots of papers, inks,
and of course pretty chipboards!

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Dandelions'
'Ingrid's Frame'
'Fine Words Set 1'

These dandelions are my new favourite piece, I can't get enough of them!

I was going for a really shabby look so I just painted all my
chipboards with white acrylic paint and then tucked them into my layout.

My second layout is with a photograph of my little guy.

'Dream Big'

I love the title chippies so much, they always add a lot of drama to a layout. Here I used
the piece 'Dream Big' and I painted it with black acrylic paint so it would really stand out.

2 Crafty Chipboards used:

'Anthea's Butterflies'
'Sharon's Butterflies'
'Dream Big'
'Birds Set'

I painted the 'Anthea's Butterflies' with white paint and then lightly stamped
them with black ink.

I hope I have inspired you a little,
See you next month!

September Inspiration By Lisa Griffith

Hello 2 Crafty Chipboard fans!

Lisa here today with two layouts to share with you.

'Documented'

I found this beautiful vintage photograph on Pinterest and I was captivated by the
young man's expression - stoic, but still somehow tender. I loved the new chipboard
piece 'Fine Stem Frames' and I thought it would make a beautiful frame around my photo.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Vintage Keys'
'Steampunk Gears Medium'
'Steampunk Gears Small'
'Fine Stem Frames'

I first painted all my chipboard pieces with black acrylic paint and then roughly
heat embossed them with a chunky old gold embossing powder to give them a
 time worn metallic look.

My second layout is a page inspired by this vintage photograph of my mum as a flower girl at
her Aunt's wedding.

'Memories'

Here I kept the chippies clean and simple with just some white acrylic paint.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Corner Thick Vine'
'Fine Leafy Bush'

See you soon, thanks for looking.

Some August Inspiration
By Lisa Griffith

Hello 2 Crafty friends I have a couple of projects to show you today.
My first project is a light and dreamy layout.

'Dream'

I was in the mood to create something with an ultra feminine and
shabby chic look with lots of pink :)

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Dream'
'Viney Page Frame'
'Thistle Shrub'
'Lavendar Shrub'

One of my absolute favourite 2 Crafty chipboards is the 'Viney Page Frame'.
I like to cut it up into long pieces. Here I stamped it lightly with brown ink after painting
with white Acrylic Paint.

As with the other chipboards I painted the title piece with white acrylic paint, and
then I brushed on some pink mist and then lastly I brushed the edges with brown ink.

My second project is an art journal spread.

'Inspire'

For this project I painted my chipboards white and then randomly
 brushed them with brown ink.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

'Moroccan Panel'
'Sybill's Name Plate'
'ATC Words'

See you soon,
Lisa xo

July Projects by Lisa Griffith

Hello 2 Crafty friends! So happy to be staying on the team through the end of the year :)
I have a few layouts to share with you this month.
But before I continue...
Please remember while you are here be sure you have
become a blog follower and leave a comment to
be eligible to go in out monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack.

'Anäis'

I saw this quote from the author Anäis Nin as part of these Graphic 45 papers,
and so I wanted to make a page about the sea and all its wonders.
2 Crafty Chipboard has a new piece called 'Fishing Net Bits' that fit my theme perfectly.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:
'Fishing Net Bits'
'Cartia's Swirl'
'Seashells'

To add texture to the starfish I coated it with a heavy uneven layer of thick white gesso,
when you heat it on high with your heat gun the gesso will bubble up, after that's dry,
I colored it with an orange Lindy's Starburst spray.

I used the same spray on the beautiful swirl to add some movement to my underwater scene.

'Cherish'

I used that same technique on my chippies for this layout too, except I added color by
painting them with some copper colored acrylic paint and then also using the heat gun,
as this makes the paint bubble up, and I love how it transforms the chipboards.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:
'Addy's Butterflies'
'Fine Word Set 1'
'Sakura Flowers'

Here you can see the "Cherish -title" from the new Fine Word Set #1
which is just painted with the white gesso.

I have also tucked in some Sakura flowers too.

Lastly I wanted to share a layout I created for the 'More than Words' June challenge.
'Imagine'

Here I kept my chippies simple with a coat of white acrylic paint to fit my shabby chic look.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:
'Lacey Signpost'
'Corner Thick Vine'

See you soon,
