"#JOY"
Layout and tutorial by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well!
This month of May inspired me to create a floral and colorful spring layout.
The winter has been long. Welcome to spring.

#JOY

I made a video tutorials that you can watch HERE

The chipboard used:

2023s

To begin, I apply a layer of white gesso.
I used Distress Oxide inks to enhance each chipboard.
I used a "peeled paint" for the "window-shutter-set 1" chipboard. I mixed it with water to obtain a very light shade.
Next, I use the "ironworks-gate" chipboard. I cut it and only use the top half. I keep the other half to use another time. I start with "mustard seed" ink, then add "picked raspberry" and "peeled paint" for a mixed media effect.

I really like this "fine-flower-photo-adornment-set-1" chipboard template.
I'm placing it under my photo.
Then I add 2022 and 2023. This photo was taken on the first day of the 2022-2023 school year.
They are colored with "picked raspberry" ink like #JOY.
And, this beautiful "loopy-heart-swirl", I think it goes well with the flower.

To add more volume to my cluster, I add "leafy silhouettes".

Watching the video is a good way to get more detail.

It's always a pleasure to meet you here!

with Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share some 2Crafty inspiration with you.
I have created this layout using a photo of my daughter.

'Story Time'

2Crafty products used:

For this layout I have used one of the 'Indian Dreamcatcher'
that I have layered over one of the small 'Flower Doilies'
I have finished both pieces in a weathered white embossing powder.

I have used one of the foliage pieces from 'Foliage Set 8'
that I have embossed in the same weathered white finish.

I have also used some of the gorgeous 'Leafy Silhouettes',
also finished in a weathered white and tucked into my florals.

I also used one of the larger 'Flower Doilies' tucked into my photo stack,
again with the weathered white finish.

I hope that you like what I have created,
until next time!

"Pretty as a Picture"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everybody!

I present to you my first inspiration of this month of April, finally the beautiful
days that are coming!
A simple and colorful layout.

"Pretty as a Picture"

The 2CraftyChipboard used:

- Pretty as a Picture
- Frame Handrawn Hearts
- Leafy Silhouettes

To start, I cover my paper with a layer of transparent gesso
and the chipboard with white gesso.

Before laying the "Frame Handrawn Hearts" chipboards,
I embellished them with a touch of "Sweet Rose" metallic wax.

I then arranged the paper embellishments by slipping in "Leafy Silhouettes" chipboard which I embellished with "Purely White" embossing powder.

For the title also I preferred white to capture the attention...
It reflects my idea of my granddaughter in this photo! I love.

Thank you very much for your visit.
Good scrap to you.

Memories Of You
A Quick & Easy VIDEO TUTORIAL
By Jenny J.

  Hello 2Crafty fans!

Hope you all are safe and healthy.

Here is a new video tutorial for you along with my new layout.

TO VIEW VIDEO CLICK HERE

For the first time, I've treated my title piece, "Memories of you" with deco foil.
I've simply prepped my chippie with Tombow glue and let it dry a bit.
When it was still sticky, I've pressed my foil on with my fingers and my bone folder.

Really love that bright shinny look :)

On my picture, you will see a "Polaroid frame".
That one is treated with gesso and distress stain.
On the edges, I've applied distress ink to give some depth.
You can see that below, at the left of the "Leafy silhouette".

All those foliage pieces are heat embossed with a glittery gold powder.

A lovely piece that I used here is "Stitched lace border".
That chipboard is also embossed with a deep emerald green powder.

Hope you will like my layout!

Thanks for stopping by!

Grateful
by Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty fans!

I hope everybody is well and holding up in these very special times. On my side, my family and I are adjusting alright and we do consider ourselves lucky to be together and healthy. We're taking plenty of time to learn new crafts, discover new hobbies and realize lots of experiments with our kids. It's also our very first homeschooling experiment and they seem to enjoy it so far.

Today, I'm presenting you a layout I made this week after we went outside on a sunny day for a bit of exercise (we're allowed to go outside for exercise as long as we stay at least 2m from people living outside our home).

I've also prepared a video to show the various techniques I used to prepare the elements in my layout:

"Grateful"

For the "6" Mandala 1", I applied a coat of black gesso then used my finger to apply a purple wax. Then I used an embossing tool to dry it.

With the "Leafy Silhouettes", I used a teal metallic paint and traced the borders with black ink.

On the "Lace Heart Frame", I used a black sandy embossing powder and then dabbed some yellow embossing ink on top.

For the title, "Grateful script", I used metallic red paint.

I used the following 2Crafty chipboards in this layout:
6" Mandala No.1 [M00790]
Leafy Silhouette [M00498]
Lace Heart Frame [FR0087]
Grateful -Script [W00510]

That's all for me today! I hope you've enjoyed this and I'll be back soon with more inspiration to share with you. Until then, stay safe!

#FUNTIMES
A Funny Layout By Jenny J.

Hi everybody!

Here is my first inspiration for March.

#Funtimes

Here are the 2Crafty chipboards I've used on this layout...

*6 inch funky line panel
*hashtag word set 2
*leafy silhouette
*scribble circles

At the beginning, I've applied clear gesso over my background paper.
After that, some modeling paste with a stencil, some random stamping and a
touch of watercoloring with a spray. Then, I was ready to build up my layout.

Treated my "6inch Funky line panel" with the same spray.
Lifted up my photo with a piece of cardboard.

I chose my title among the chippies of "Hashtag word set 2".
#FUNTIMES was just the perfect match with my pic.
That chippie is emnbossed with Lindy's Geranium Coral Blush.

Below this, you can barely see the "Leafy silhouette" leaves,
which are embossed also but with another powder.

I've also included some "Scribble circles"
simply painted in white, to complete ornament clusterings.

As my final touches,
flowers, flairs and some fussycut butterflies to complete everything.

Hope you like it!
See you later this month for another fun inspiration ;)
