Big Dreams by Tania Ridgwell

 Hi there!
Tania joining you today to share the last of my DT projects for July.  I have created another layout.

"Big Dreams"

Products Used:

*Clock Face Discs
*Stitched Lace Border
*2024's
*Mini Flourish Bits

I used the gorgeous Celebr8 Moonlit Dreams Paper Collection to create the base for my layout.  Once I had created my background I set about putting my page together.

I painted all my chippie pieces using Mont Marte Anitque Gold Paint.  Once dry I randomly added some White Gold Wax to the 2024, Mini Flourishes and Stitched Lace Border Chippies.
I added lots of paper layers under my photo and added it to the left side of my page.

Lots of paper blooms added to the top and bottom of my photo.  I cut the Stitched Lace Border in half and placed a piece along the top of my photo and the other half I added along the bottom of my page.
I cut the Clock Face Chippies into pieces and tucked them in amongst the flowers.  I also tucked the Mini Flourish Chippies into the flowers.  I finished off my page by adding the 2024 title.

Thats' all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all with my Layout.  Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.

'Hope' by Emma Zappone BONUS VIDEO

Hello everyone, Em with you all today.
I have another 10x10 layout to share with you all. And a little video to enjoy too.

My inspo for this page was this very cool version of 'Johannes Vermeer's' ' Girl with the Pearl earing' I found off of Pinterest.
It is just the cutest version I have seen.

Chipboard featured for this project is.....

Stitched Lace Border
Flower Doilies 3
Rose Set 1
Decorative Dangling bits

Naturally I was drawn to the beautiful colours in the picture, and also the paint splashes and drips.
So I tried to replicate this as best I could in my background work.

Watch the video here to see how it comes about...

I wanted to make the lace border pop from the white, even though it is heavily tucked into the layers, this beautiful blue acrylic makes the chippy sing. It also has a lovely coverage of matching Distress Glazes to make it have a stunning sheen to it.

I used only one of the small roses from the chipboard set and painted it with the same blue from the border as well as green for the leaf part of the chippy. Again only a small amount of emboss to make it have some visual interest and shine beneath the layers.

I just love the doilies used on this layer, I have quite a few of these in my stash, so that whenever I need a softness or circle shape to break up squares and rectangles, it just works perfectly.

Finally the dangle bit, is painted with a yellow acrylic, a little deeper than the yellow in the image to add depth and contrast to the layers. I also placed it on the right side of the composition to represent the 'pearl' earring....

I really enjoyed putting this one together. The rustic background with the acrylic and adding rub-ons to recreate something that compliments the feel of the picture.

I hope you enjoy the video of it all coming together. And I hope you get a little inspiration to create too.

Until next time, stay Crafty, Em xx

"Perfectly IMPERFECT"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

For this first day of June and with the sweetness of the days that announces the end of spring,
I was inspired to make a layout with a soft and cuddly decor.

For this, I chose a photo of my granddaughter that I printed in very pale pink
and I opted for chipboards with vintage looks.

"Perfectly IMPERFECT"

The 2Crafty chipboard used:

- Perfectly Imperfect Title
- Frame Olivia
- Frame Lucy's Flourish
- Stitched Lace Border

After applying a layer of white gesso on each panel, I opt for a color "Magic Moon Pearls"
on the panel "Frame Olivia" for this I use a embossing powder.

This frame is too cute and ensures a nice effect on a layout.

On the elegant chipboard "Frame Lucy’s Flourish" I choose a pale pink color,
I place it in focus and I add an image in the center that will bring out the whole.

"Perfectly IMPERFECT" I love this quote, this title made me smile and with this photo even more.
At this point how to guess that she will be the most appropriate synonym for her character.

I finish with this beautiful lace border that I glue slightly inclined and I add a bouquet
of embellishment to give it even more charm.

I hope my inspiration will have an impact on your creativity to create beautiful projects.

Have you seen the ad on the release of new chipboard and novelty and that 2Crafty now has a retail section on our website, so if you can’t find it at your local store, you can now buy it directly.
Wow awesome!

'Your Heart, My Heart' - by Emma Zappone

 Hello 2Crafty friends.
Em with you today, and I'm finishing the month off with a little 'foxy' layout.

Using beautiful soft earthly, autumn tones this page features some stunning chipboard elements.

Lets check out which pieces I chose here......

Mini Branches
Chicken Wire Barbed small
Stitched Lace Border

I decided to keep a couple of the chipbord pieces simple by painting them with an acrylic paint.

The chicken wire, was painted in an orange acrylic with a sepia wax brushed over the top.

The stunning Lace Border was started with a cream acrylic and then finished with a light coating of Firebird wax.

I also cut the border into smaller parts to use in two locations.

And those wonderful very versatile branches were initially painted with acrylic, but I wanted a shiny finish so chose to add metallic foiling flakes for a real shine.

I really love how the foil flakes add a little more drama and autumn shimmer.

I hope this page inspires you a little. Thanks so much for joining me today.

See you again next week.
Em xx

"this moment"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everybody,

Like every first day of the month, I am happy to present my first inspiration to you.

I was inspired by the colors of this photo taken in Copenhagen in front
of these colorful houses with my little niece "Romy" and her cheeky smile.

"this moment"

2Crafty Chipboard used:

- this moment
- Circle Revolutions Frames
- Stitched Lace Border

I prepared the chipboards with a layer of white gesso and then covered
with Lindy's Gang "Bonjour Butter" colored embossing powder.

I then applied a little "Bronze Age" metallique wax to match my background paper.

I have arranged the large "Circle Revolutions Frames" chipboard.

Then I started the assembly of my page I used the chipboard "Stitched Lace Border"
to underline my layout I cut a piece which I then glued on top to give relief.

To highlight my photo I added another smaller "Circle Revolutions Frames".

I find chipboards add a lot of depth to a layout.

For the title, which is still very important to me, I just applied "Bronze Age"
metallique wax from Prima.

I then stuck it on part of the photo with adhesive foam.

Hope this layout has given you some inspiration
and you too will want to use these wonderful chipboards.

See you soon!

Memories Of You
A Quick & Easy VIDEO TUTORIAL
By Jenny J.

  Hello 2Crafty fans!

Hope you all are safe and healthy.

Here is a new video tutorial for you along with my new layout.

TO VIEW VIDEO CLICK HERE

For the first time, I've treated my title piece, "Memories of you" with deco foil.
I've simply prepped my chippie with Tombow glue and let it dry a bit.
When it was still sticky, I've pressed my foil on with my fingers and my bone folder.

Really love that bright shinny look :)

On my picture, you will see a "Polaroid frame".
That one is treated with gesso and distress stain.
On the edges, I've applied distress ink to give some depth.
You can see that below, at the left of the "Leafy silhouette".

All those foliage pieces are heat embossed with a glittery gold powder.

A lovely piece that I used here is "Stitched lace border".
That chipboard is also embossed with a deep emerald green powder.

Hope you will like my layout!

Thanks for stopping by!

"Embrace Today"
By Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty friends,

It is March spring break here in Quebec (even if it's still cold winter here!), so it's the
perfect time to have fun with the kids and create new layouts to share with you!

So today, I am revealing a layout that highlights this happy, joyful mood featuring me,
Liam and Mila as we're enjoying a meal at a restaurant to kick off the vacations!

For the "Stitched Lace Border", at the bottom right in the background of
this picture, I've applied 2 coats of bronze embossing powder.

On the "11" Fina Floral Frame Set", visible at the right and top-left of the picture
, I applied golden embellishment mousse with a brush.

For the "Doily Frame" around the picture, I applied a pink embossing enamel on
the smaller frame and a white-gold embossing enamel on the larger frame.

On the "Embrace Today" title, I applied a fine coat of white embossing ink so it
lets the chipboard texture see-through. then dabbed a bit of copper embossing ink on top.

For the "Leafy Silhouettes" at the very left of the picture,
I used some acrylic rose-gold paint.

2Crafty Chipboard used in the layout:...
Doily Frames [
Embrace Today
Stitched Lace border
11" Fine floral Frame Set
Leafy Silhouettes

That's all for today! See you mid-march for my next reveal.
 Until then, have fun creating!
