Enjoy The Journey - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!

Back today to share a layout I created of our oldest sons purchase of a 1977 Corvette.

2Crafty Products used:

Mini Chunky bits
Grungy Splatter Bits
Harlequin clumps
Brick Panel
Frame Chained Circle
Enjoy The Journey
Mini Numbers Panel
Steampunk Chain Clock Cluster

I always begin by prepping my chipboard with gesso - either clear or white

I then begin spraying different shades of grey and bit of black mists to create the effect I wanted.

I inked the pieces with black ink on the outside so when I layered all the pieces there was
still definition of each piece.

I had added some red tickets from my stash to coordinate with the cars red interior and wanted
the title to stand out a bit so I inked it with lumberjack plaid ink and embossing powder.

"Enjoy the Journey"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

For my second inspiration this May, I made a layout using a photo
of my grandson taken on the occasion of the school party.
I opted for this beautiful paper that will accentuate the chipboards even more.

"Enjoy the Journey"

The chipboards used:

- Enjoy the Journey
- 12X12 Weathered Clock Face Frames
- Textured Tile Bits
- Squiggly Circle Arrow Journal Spots

Sometimes it is complicated to select colors to embellish the chipboards,
but for this arrangement, I opted for the black color without hesitation.

I used Oxide Distress inks.

I chose an imposing size for the chipboard "Weathered Clock Face Frames".
I tinted it with the color "black soot".
For the title, I needed a flashy color. I mixed "spiced marmalade" and "mustard seed".

In the latest news, there are these superb "Textured Tile Bits".
It reminds me of an 'electronic circuit'. I like it.
With the black, I added a touch of green "peeled paint".

To frame this pretty pendulum pattern, I use the chipboard "Squiggly Circle Arrow Journal Spots"
They are a perfect match!

I hope you enjoy this page as much as I enjoyed creating it.

If your vendor does not have the chipboards, do not worry,
they are available directly on the site.

Thank you very much for your visit.

"Enjoy the Journey"
Layout and tutorial video by Marie Sabatier

Hello faithful friends of 2Crafty.

Like every beginning of the month, I am happy to meet you again to present
my new inspiration.
A spring layout with lots of chipboard.

"Enjoy the Journey"

I made a video tutorial that you can watch HERE

The 2Craftychipboard used:

- Enjoy the Journey
- Iron Gates
- Pointed Doily Frames 1
- Addy's-Butterflies

Always the same process, I add a layer of white gesso on each chipboard.
Which I then embellished with Lindy's Gang "Bratwurst Brown" embossing powder.

I start by placing the "Iron Gates" chipboard, it is splendid and gives all its
importance to my layout.
It adds texture to the background and is the focal of my arrangement.

I love layering chipboards and embellishments to give relief.

For me the photo is very important that's why by surrounding it with this
magnificent frame in chipboard it remains the essential.

"Enjoy the Journey" because my granddaughter had just had her hair cut!
It was necessary to immortalize!

Thank you again for your loyalty and see you tomorrow for a new inspiration.

Layout Walk In The Wood
by Elena Martynova

Hello friends!

Today Elena is with you. I hope you are all well.
I am back on the blog today sharing this layout I created.

In our city, there was a real heat wave. And although I waited for
the heat all winter I want a little freshness and coolness.
So I found a photo of my husband and I walking in the woods
in the autumn. Then it was just amazing weather.
Sun, warmth, and a refreshing breeze.
We walked for more than two hours and took photos under every Bush.
It was a real Golden autumn.

I realized the idea of gold in the page by painting a large
background chipboard 10" Decorative Panel - Grid with a palette knife.
In the video that I shot for you, you can see how to do it and what colors I used.

I divided this large panel into two parts to make a circular composition.
Added stamping to the background.
I like the way the maple leaves spin in their last dance.

In nature, everything moves in a circle.
It will take just a couple of months and fall will come again,
and we will start waiting for summer again :)))
The idea of a cycle is supported in my work with the help of
two more types of chippies: Bubble Clumps and 6" Circle Dot Frame

Paper and cut-out images by Craft O'clock.
I also added some  fabric and paper flowers by Prima Marketing

I invite you to watch my video tutorial to see
the whole process of creating my project. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for visiting us today.

"Night City" Layout
PLUS VIDEO TUTORIAL
by Elena

Hello! Elena with you today!

It's great if life is full of adventures and travel. A week ago my husband and I returned from
a trip to Belarus. It's a small country in Eastern Europe (if you don't know:))).
We drove through small villages and were impressed with how simple the locals live.
Their life is calm and measured in contrast to the inhabitants of large cities.
That's where the time rushes, life is boiling and everyone is in a hurry to live!
I like big cities, nd one of the cities where I dream to visit is Sydney!
So I decided to visualize my dream  and made a page with a photo of Sydney at night.

"Enjoy the Journey"

I used a piece of Ecopaper paper as the background. I chose it first of all for the black
background, which was perfect for the photo. I also liked the fact that it has a dial -
as a symbol of the transience of time.

I love the 2Crafty title chippies. They are large and with a very beautiful font!

As usual, the main decorations of my works are chippies by 2 Crafty. This chip in the form
of globe - just gorgeous. I covered it with Lindy's dark blue powder. In the tutorial,
which I have prepared for you, you can see all the nuances of creating my page.

The new chips Steampunk Strips fit perfectly to the theme of
the work and added dynamics and expression.

Karine's Shares for August

Dear 2Crafty friends,

Karine here with you today to share two new layouts filled with 2Crafty chipboard goodness!
Let's jump right to the first one.

"Enjoy the Journey"

My main inspiration came from the Decorative Rod Set 2 piece I chose. I painted it
black and partially covered it with bronze and dark teal embossing powder. I glued
it in the middle of my layout, vertically.

The shine I got on that piece is gorgeous!

I decided to use a few of the 6" Clock Face Frames here and there on my layout.
I embossed them in bronze embossing powder.

For my title piece, I chose the Enjoy the Journey title.

I embossed it with the same bronze and dark teal powders I use all through my layout.

Here are a few other close-up pictures.

"Perfection"

I used roughly the same sketch for this second layout, but I went a bit crazy with the colors.

I began with the Retro Panel. I cut it in 3 pieces and embossed them with a black
glittery embossing powder. I then rubbed some Art Alchemy waxes on the edges.

Over my picture, I placed the beautiful Ornate Dragonfly. I embossed it with
a dark blue powder, and then, rubbed some waxes to add to the old finish.

I treated my title, the word Perfection, the same way.

I embossed the Weeping Vine in gold embossing powder. I then cut it apart
and placed pieces here and there on my layout.
