Christmas Time Altered Tree by Tania Ridgwell

Hi there!

Tania joining you today to share the first of my DT projects for November.
Last year I created one of these Beyond the Page Wooden Christmas Trees and
enjoyed making it so much I decided I would make another.

2 Crafty Chipboard Used:

*Ornate Snowflakes
*Holly Twig Branches
*Swirly Holly Set
*Christmas Mini Word Set 1

I kept the Christmas Tree raw and decorated each panel with gorgeous Christmas
papers from Paper Rose called Christmas Time.

I painted the Ornate Snowflakes, Swirly Holly and Celebrate & Christmas from the Christmas Mini Word Set 1 chippies with Gold Mont Marte Paint.

Once dry I randomly dabbed on some Colour Blast Snow White Colour Paste.

I dabbed on a thick coat of Art Alchemy Green Gold paint to the Holly Twig Branches
and once dry gave them all a light coat of Chopped Pesto Ink Sp
ray.

I attached my photo to a couple of distressed paper layers in the same paper that I decorated the frame with and then placed it on the tree.

I cut the large Swirl from the Swirly Holly in half and added one half to the top of my photo and the other to the bottom of my photo.  I then embellished the tree with assorted flowers.

I tucked the Holly Twig Branches and Ornate Snowflakes randomly into different areas of my flower clusters and to finish I added true snow to the Tree and randomly over the chippies and flowers.

That's all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all a little with my Altered Christmas Tree.

Until next time,

Choose Happy Step x Step Layout by Tania Ridgwell

Hi there!

Tania joining you today to share a layout I created for my first share for October.  I have a short step x step photo tutorial for this layout.  I have to apologise I'm missing one of my photos for my step x step I had a little mishap with my phone - technology and I don't always see eye to eye!!! LOL

"Choose Happy"

2 Crafty Products Used:

*Choose Happy
*2023's
*Addy's Butterflies
*Tahnya's 6" Border
*Photo Adornment - Formal Flourish Set 3

I chose the gorgeous AB Studio's Somewhere Collection for this Layout.  To create the background page I tore the top and bottom edges of the papers and distressed the edges. I added some texture to the page using the Tim Holtz Stripes Stencil.  I also added some script stamping in black ink around the page and randomly flicked on some Dylusions White Linen Spray.  Once dry I added a couple of distressed papers layers for my photo to sit on.

I first gave all my chippie pieces a coat of gesso.  I painted the Choose Happy, Addy's Butterflies and 2023 chipboard with Acrylic Opal Magic Green Gold paint and while they were still wet I also painted on a coat of Heidi Swapp Charteuse Color Shine to give a bit more of a brighter green look.  I also painted the Tahnya's 11" Border and Photo Adornment - Formal Flourish Set 3 with the same Opal Magic paint and while these were wet I randomly dabbed on Heidi Swapp Blush Color Shine over different areas of the chipboard.  Once I was happy with the colours of all my chipboard pieces I set about arranging them onto my page tucking them in and under paper layers and adding the Choose Happy Title to the bottom right of my page.

I used the fussy cut page from the collection and added lots of fussy cut flowers to the page tucking these in and under the chippie pieces and paper layers.
I added my photo and then embellished around my photo with more fussy cut elements.
To finish off my page I added some flowers around the fussy cut elements, tucked an Addy's Butterfly into each of the flowers and then added 2023 to the bottom left of the photo.

Some close ups....

Thats' all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all with my Layout.
Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.

Dream Cherish Love Heart Canvas by Tania Ridgwell

 Hello there!

Tania joining you today to share the last of my DT projects for September.
I have created a Mixed Media Heart Canvas.

"Dream Cherish Love Heart Canvas"

2 Crafty Products Used:

*Flower Doilies
*Brooke's Swirls
*Mini Word Set 2

To create the background for my canvas I first added texture using a Brick Pattern Stencil from Paper Rose Studio.  Once dry I sprayed on several different yellow toned mists and continued to add colour until I was happy.  In black ink I used a Text background to randomly stamp around the outer edges of the frame.

I coloured the Flower Doily chippies with Heidi Swapp Color Shine Spray and the Brooke's Swirls and Mini Words chippies with Black Marble Dylusions Spray.  The Sunflower fussy cut images are from the Mintay Floral Book No 8.  I added my Flower Doilies first and then tucked in the Sunflower fussy cut elements and then the Brooke's Swirls.

I added the Dream, Cherish and Love words to the canvas.  I decorated the canvas with lots of matching coloured blooms and added a yellow pearl to the centre of each doily.  To finish off my canvas I randomly scattered on some Art Stones around the canvas.

Thats' all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all with my Mixed Media Heart Canvas.

Cherish This Moment Altered Wooden Square Plaque by Tania Ridgwell

Hi there!

Tania joining you today to share the second of my DT projects with you all for this month.
I just love Altered Art so today I am sharing an altered Wooden Square Plaque.

"Cherish This Moment"

2 Crafty Products Used:

*Charlotte Page Flourish
*Mini Flourish Bits
*Mollie's Butterfly Set
*Mini Title Stick Set 5

I have used the stunning Mintay Graceful Collection to create this project.  Probably my all time favourite papers 💜💜  Once I chose the paper for the background of my square plaque I set about decorating.

I coloured the Charlotte Flourish and Mini Flourish Bits with Art Alchemy Waxes - Sweet Rose and Electric Violet.
I wanted some depth behind my photo so before I put the photo on I added some paper layers to the centre of the plaque.  Once the Charlotte Flourish was dry I cut it in half and added one half to the top and one to the bottom tucked in under the paper layers.  I then added lots of fussy cut elements tucked in under the photo and among the paper layers.

I added lots of blooms around the photo and then tucked in the Mini Flourish Bits.  I left the Mollie's Butterflies raw and added them to the flower clusters.  I also added a couple of raw Titles from the Mini Stick Set 5 and finished of my plaque by adding some tiny glass domes and randomly splashing on some White Linen Dylusions Spray.

Thats' all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all with my little Beyond the Page project.
