'Happy Life'
with Lisa Amiet

Hello, my 2crafty peeps!
I am back from my break, and I have missed you all.
I am brimming with lots of scrappy ideas,
and this time I have created a layout, featuring a photo of yours truly
(one of the few I don't hate LOL)

2crafty products used:

For this layout, I have worked with shades of pinks and purples.

I have used one of the 'Weeping Vines'
I have first given my chipboard two coats of gesso,
with a sponge for even coverage.

I then used watercolour paints in shades of purple to colour them.
I have cut this into pieces to use around my page, among my layers.

I have also used one of the 'Edgar Swirls',
next to my photo, using the same colouring technique.
It does take a few layers to get the right mix, but I love the effect.

Some more of the Weeping Vine pieces.

I have also used a couple of the 'ATC Maple Leaves',
that I have given the same effect to, but only to the centres.
I have then used these in among my flower cluster.

Lastly for my title, I have used one of the 'Mini Title Stick Set 3',

that I have left raw.

I hope that you like what I have created
and that it inspires you to get crafty today!

Until next time!

Memories
by Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty friends!

I hope everyone is doing great!
Today I'm sharing a layout featuring my two besties in a picture taken back in simpler, pre-pandemic times. I can't wait to meet them again in a few days, as restrictions are being slowly lifted.

"Memories"

For the "Weeping Vine", I used ivory embossing enamel.

On the "Polaroid Frames", I stamped a pattern with some embossing powder and then rubbed some black ink very roughly on top.

For the title, "memories", part of the "Line Words - Goodtimes Borders", I used two coats of jade-teal embossing powder.

I used the following 2Crafty chipboards in this layout:

Weeping Vine [m00648]
Polaroid Frames [m00391]
Line Words - Goodtimes Borders [db0096]

That's all for me today! I hope you enjoyed this layout and that it gave you some inspiration for your creations! I'll be back in a few weeks with more ideas to share with you!

Tam's November Creation.....

Hi there 2 Crafty Creatives.
Tam here today to share my latest.
This one's titled:

"You Make Me Happy When Skies are Grey"

I had a lot of fun with this one!

I created the background paper by using a green sheet of paper,
adding a funky stencil, and some spritz.
Easy yet so effective!

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
"You make me Happy when Skies are Grey title"
"Foliage Set 5"
"Flowering Clusters"
"Weeping Vine"

All of the chipboard was clustered to one corner of the page.
I did this as the background was quite busy, and I wanted to focus
the eye of the viewer into the photograph.

I went simple with colour, again because of the busy background,
keeping it mostly monochromatic.

I applied white gesso to the "Flowering Clusters" and used these as my background piece.

I also applied white gesso to some of the leaves in the "Foliage Set 5".
Once dry, I added some black pen marks, just for a bit of fun.

I added some teal coloured ink to the "You make me Happy when Skies are Grey" title.
I love that pop of teal mixed with the lime and black and white!

Finally I added white emboss powder to the "Weeping Vine",
and poked this in amongst the layers.

That's it from me today, I hope I've inspired you.
If you'd like to see more of my work, pop on over to my BLOG
I'll be back again soon!

Tam is Thankful....Includes a VIDEO

Hi 2Crafty Creatives!!
Tam here today to share my latest creation.
I've also created a video tutorial, so read on to see it...
This one's titled:...

'Thankful'

A bright and colourful page, with lots of hand painted roses and 2Crafty Chipboard.
This one celebrates a special weekend we had with family from the other side of the world.

I love the bright colours teamed with black and white.
I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
'Thankful Script Title'
'Flowers Fine'
'Sharon's Butterflies'
'Weeping Vine'
'Foliage Set 5'

I tucked the 'Flowers Fine' in amongst the hand painted roses.

I added white gesso to them and them a few shades of watercolour to give a cute
rainbow effect. You can see how I did this in the video below.

I added black gesso to 'Sharon's Butterflies' and also to the 'Weeping Vine'
which I cut up and tucked in amongst the flowers.

I painted the 'Thankful Script Title' in white gesso, then white acrylic paint, and then
added some Dimensional Magic, or Glossy Accents to give it a resin look finish.

I also added white gesso and white acrylic paint to some of the leaves in the 'Foliage Set 5' Set.
I then added some doodling with a black pen.  Love this fun look.

I tucked them in amongst the flowers too.

If you know my work, you know I adore colour, and I love that this page is filled with colour!!
I also love how the chipboard enhances the flowers and adds some texture.

I've created a video - so you can see exactly how this came together.

I hope you enjoy it.

Here it is.....

Tam's Second Share for July

G'day 2Crafty Creatives
Tam here today to share my latest creation......
This one's titled:

"True Beauty"

A page celebrating my girl who is the image of True Beauty. Inside and out.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
"Beauty script title"
"Circle Stack"
"Flowering Clusters"
"Weeping Vine"
I just love the colours and the ombre effect on the "Flowering Clusters".
I created this by first applying a couple of coats of white gesso, and then using Dylusions Ink Sprays.  Instead of spraying them on, I applied them with a paintbrush which gives a much stronger and more vibrant finish once dry.

I used the colours 'Polished Jade' and 'Fresh Lime', and I let the colours blend in the middle.

These "Flowering Clusters" are new to the 2Crafty range and I just LOVE them,
and know I will be using them again soon.

I painted the "Weeping Vine" with a couple of coats of white gesso and then
white acrylic paint. I then cut it down and tucked it into various parts of the layout.

I selected a circle from the "Circle Stack" that would act as a frame around my photos.
I painted this with a couple of coats of white gesso and then stamped over this with black ink and a script stamp.

Finally I added the "Beauty Script title" to the top edge of the frame and gave
it a couple of coats of black paint.
I adore the black and white mixed with the turquoise and lime.
My favourite colour combination.

This page was taken prior to my girl attending formal for High School.
Leading up to this night, she had bought an amazing dress.
There was lots of pressure on her (ridiculous!) to have her hair done, her makeup done,
fake tans etc, but she refused. She just wanted to be herself.
This made my heart swell, and I was so proud of HER!!
I wanted to document THIS.

The journaling reads:
"Beauty begins the Moment you decide to be yourself"
"You are truly beautiful inside and out - sounds cliché but I love that you don't get caught up in all the fakeness that surrounds our teenagers. The fake tans, eyebrows, eyelashes. They must look in the mirror and wonder who is looking back at them. Youth is beautiful. So is being you.
That's all you need."

Well that's it from me today, I hope I've inspired you, thanks for popping by.
