"Wonderful Memory of You" by Amy Voorthuis

Hi there lovely 2Crafty fans,

It's a lovely day to visit the blog because I have another layout to share with you all. What I really love about 2Crafty Chipboard pieces are that they are so delicate and swirly which makes your layouts & other works so romantic and I am a sucker for romance and hearts.

Wonderful Memory of You:

2Crafty Chipboards used:
Mini Word Set 3
Memory of You
Beaded Hanging Heart Set
Frame Handrawn Hearts
Squiggly Heart Cluster
Leafy Shrub Set 1

I just can't stop creating in purple colors since it is my favorite color lol, this layout was made with the pretty "Spring Purple" collection. All the chippies are painted with one layer of white gesso then I painted the "Memory of You" phrase with some purple acrylic paint then I added some transparant crackle paste and some wax when it was dry.

I painted the Leafy Shrub Set 1 with some green acrylic matte paint and then I added some wax and purple impasto paint. I also added some hearts from the "Steampunk Hearts" mould by Finnabair which I painted with black gesso en pruple wax. In the end I added some pearle on the leafy set to give it more demension. The flowers are all handmade and I did a lot of fussy cutting as well.

"A Moment With You is Magical"
by Amy Voorthuis

 Hi there 2Crafty fans.
I am excited to show you my newest layout, for this one I used the color yellow which I don't
use that often. But when I got my new 2Crafty chippies I knew exactly which ones I wanted
to use & with what paper collection I was going to use it.

The picture is a oldie and I wanted
to use it since we are going to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary next month.

A moment with you is magical:

2Crafty Chipboards used:
 Fine Word Set 2
Frame Fine Circle with Butterflies
11"Fine Floral Frame Set
Foliage Set 6
A Moment With You

All the chipboard pieces are treated with gesso and "purely white"embossing powder,
then I added a layer of wax with two different colors {rusty brown and old white}, on the
foliage pieces I added some green matt acrylic paint and on the little circles I added gold pearlecents.

I did some machine stitching around my picture, and also used some pretty flowers, rub-ons, wishing bubbles and did a lot of fussy cutting from the "sunflower" collection by ScrapAndMe.
At the end I added some frozen jack frost & shimmer spray.

I also added some rub-on words & three beautiful butterflies made by my very talented friend Renea Harrison. Thank you so much for your visit and I hope to see you next time.

Woodland Fun!! - by Chrissy Tingey

Hi everyone,
I couldn’t wait to play with this set of chipboards - the "12inch “Fine Floral” set -
wow!!! you get so much in this
pack….and I still have some pieces left over
for another project.

I created my base by using two sheets of paper, then matted the central "wood slice" paper on top,
some stitching around the edges in a coordinating thread colour
just adds a little something extra to the layout.

I had the perfect colour ink pad that coordinated with the teal paper, so inked all
those wonderful chipboards, inking with a pad was really quick
and easy.

I fussy cut lots of beautiful floral and foliage elements from various papers and also
stamped and fussy cut the teal flowers to bring all the
colours together.

Chipboard used:

12 inch Fine Floral Set.
Iron Gates.

I framed my photo by using the gorgeous Iron Gates chipboard, then matted this
to the centre of my layout. I then arranged all my fussy cut elements around
the edges of my photo. I tucked the main section of the
Fine Floral set in and around the bottom left hand cluster of
fussy cut elements.

Don’t be afraid to cut into your chipboards, any pieces that would
be covered I try and cut them out and use else where on the layout, for example: the little flourish
pieces.

I love how these chipboards work perfectly alongside the fussy cut and layered flowers -
a tiny colour coordinated rhinestone to the centre of the chipboard flower
sets it off beautifully.

I highly recommend these wonderful floral sets, there is so much in them, they would be great on a
double page spread as the main feature.

Thanks for stopping by, you can find lots more close-ups of this layout over on my Instagram page

“Mandala magic!!" Layout By Chrissy Tingey

Hi everyone, I have had these gorgeous papers in my stash for years,
I love them so much with the mandala type designs -
I now had the perfect Chipboards to use with them.
My first job was to fussy cut all the beautiful images from the papers
once that was done I began to layer them up, in readiness for assembling on my layout.

Chipboard used:
Aztec Flower Set 1.
2c 4 inch Mandala 3.
2c 4 inch Mandala 1.
Fifi Flourish.

I wanted all the chipboard to colour coordinate with the papers,
so I picked out the gorgeous teal colour.
I didn’t have the exact match of medium so I just mixed a few colours of paint and mists together
 until I was happy.
A couple of coats and they were done. I love that these chipboards take anything
you put on them. Even those very delicate Aztec flowers took the paint mix perfectly.
I started to make clusters of the fussy cut and layered paper elements around my layout
then tucked a piece of chipboard in with them.

The Aztec flower chipboards are stunning! - I carefully lifted & shaped the inner section to give
some height and dimension.

I just love the added texture the chipboards give to a layout or project -
the chipboard mandala’s are so beautiful, they would also look fabulous layered up
like the fussy cut paper elements.
Mmmm I feel another project coming on using them this way.

Don’t forget, if you want to colour coordinate your
chipboard but don’t have the right colour, just mix a few colours of mediums up -
I used acrylic paint and mists, it
worked perfectly.

“A Pop of Colour”
Layout By Chrissy Tingey

Hi everyone, today I have this project to share with you, I chose to
use a royalty free image with this layout, the colours were stunning and bright, just
perfect for the layout and chipboard I had in mind.

2Crafty Chipboard Used?....
Flower Petals
Mini Word Set 1
Heart Frame with flowers

I started off by painting the gorgeous "Frame Heart with Flowers”
pure white to coordinate with some of my fussy cut embellishments,
it has some very cute little flowers attached to it, I cut
these off and repositioned them so they
are seen poking out from my fussy cut flowers

I  then painted those fabulous large “Flower Petals” chipboard in a vibrant
red colour - matching the colour of the flowers in my photo.

I Love the “Mini Word Set” sometimes I just want to add a tiny title, these are
perfect for doing just that - this is also painted in a coordinating colour.
I have enjoyed adding a splash of colour by painting my chipboard in
that bright red to coordinate with my photo, it sure makes a statement!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you to add some bright colours
to your chipboard, I'll be back next month with two
more projects.

Beautifully Framed

Hi Everyone, Chrissy here with my first creation for March…
I decided to use this gorgeous 11inch frame as the main focus of my layout. So I wanted to keep the rest of my layout quite simple, which can be difficult for me as I tend to not know when to stop adding embellishments. My base features three layers and the centre consists of descending circles, to finish off my base I have added some stitching.

2Crafty chipboard used...

Flower Petals
Flourish Round Frame
Sammis Swirls x 2
Leaf Set 1

The gorgeous, Large Circle Chipboard Frame stands out on the simple, clean black & white dotted base paper.

My layers of stamped and fussy cut doodle embellishments are finished off with some gorgeous Flourishes tucked in and around them.

I have also added the small flower from the “Flower Petals” pack, just tucked this under the centres of the Doodle Clusters.

More fine and delicate flourish pieces added to the bottom cluster of embellishments.

I think these little Chipboard details look delightful!!

I hope I have inspired you to use these wonderful large Chipboard frames on your creations, I will be back later in the month with another project.
Happy Crafting,

A splash of colour layout - by Chrissy Tingey

Hi everyone,

Chrissy here with another layout for you, featuring some gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard, with added stamped & fussy cut images.

For this layout I wanted to paint some of the beautiful chipboard and keep some raw, I love that you can mix the two together for a different look

2Crafty Chipboard used :

Brooks Swirl x 2

11inch Circle Leaf Frame

Fancy border Set 2

Once I had made up my base, which consists of white card and two layers of the same paper, one on top of the other the top being slightly smaller, I then stitched all around the edge, most of my layouts start like this. I then picked out some floral stamps to use and stamped one on plain white card and the other on coloured paper that coordinates with my base, I wanted this layout to be a bit funky and bright. These were then all fussy cut.

I also stamped and fussy cut some leaves onto plain white cut.

Now for the gorgeous Chipboard - I just love the large 11 inch frames you can get, 2 Crafty have quite a few!!! - I love this circle Leaf Frame, I decided to paint this white and this was going to be the main feature of my layout.

I cut the leaf section off the frame and repositioned it to the top right hand
corner of my layout.

I then arranged my fussy cut flowers and leaves around the frame in three clusters.

I also added Brooks Swirls raw chipboard around my flora clusters, I love how these then stand out from the painted frame

I cut a small section from the Fancy Border set and added it to the top left hand corner of my layout, this just adds a pretty little detail. I have lots of little pieces of chipboard that would have been covered by embellishments, I keep them to use like this.

I hope I have inspired you today to use these fabulous chipboard products, I will be back next month with two more Crafty Chipboard projects.

Happy Crafting everyone!!!
