Beach Babe - Laura Gilhuly

Hi everyone!

Laura here today to share another layout for my husbands album!

I know the photo is not the greatest, but it deserves to be remembered!

2Crafty chipboard used:

Seaweed Set 1

Charlotte Page Flourish

Flourish 2

Beach Babe

SeaShells Set 2

For Charlotte's Flourish and the Beach Babe Title, I wanted it to coordinate with the paper but still have a beachy feel.  I painted it with Salvaged Patina distressed paint and heat set it, I then added Peacock Feathers distress paint and sprayed with water so the paint looks two toned.  I added some tainted Teal powder and again sprayed with water.  I allowed it to air dry then splattered white gesso mixed with some water with a fan brush.

I wanted to introduce a complimentary color to the teal papers and I took inspiration from my husbands shirt in the photo and decided to add orange.  I used modeling paste and a stencil then added orange brusho powder spritzed with water.  To continue with the orange I painted the seaweed and the flourish 2 with orange impasto paint and the same paint mixed with a little white.  I painted the seashells and the other seaweed with pearl white paint then added a little color with orange and teal paint that I wiped off to only leave a shadow of the color.

"Angelic Beauty" 12 by 4 Canvas by Amy Voorthuis

  Goodmorning 2Crafty friends,
I am so happy that you are visiting this amazing blog, I love creating with beautiful chipboard
pieces. For today I have a little something else to show you this time I created a little canvas with all selected pieces that I thought would fit it very well. And off course I have used a picture of our Abbey I hope you enjoy this post.

You know what's amazing, you can order directly from the
2Crafty website here so you can also play with their amazing chipboard pieces

Angelic Beauty:

2Crafty Chipboard used:
Window Shutter Set 2
Charlotte Page Flourish
BeeYoutiful Set
Roxy's Flourish Vine
Fine Word Set 2
Mini Word Set 3
ATC Word Banner Set 1
Foliage Set 9

As you might know I love adding as many chipboard pieces as possible on my work. For this canvas I added eight. All of the pieces are treated with some white gesso the "Charlotte Page Flourish" was then altered matte acrylic paint after that with some spray paint and in the end with some wax. For the "Window Shutter Set 2" I did randomly paint it with three different kinds of acrylic paint all of them in a mate finish to give it a weathered look.

The cute little bees from the "BeeYoutiful Set" are also painted with some acrylic paint and then I used some clear embossing powder on them and then to finish them I used some matte wax. On the "Foliage Set 9" I added some paint and on the top of the leaves I added some glitter {sadly you can't see that on the picture} The words are painted with some black paint and then I brushed some matte white wax on them. For the ATC banner that one was altered with embossing powder {clear} and I used a posca pen in black to write the word "Love You"

'Adore' layout
created by Rachael Funnell

Hello & a warm welcome to the 2 Crafty blog.
Rach with you today, sharing my newest layout
created with some fabulous 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces..

2 Crafty Chipboard used:
Fine word set - Months
Charlotte flourish
2018
Circle tags set 1

Let's start with the gorgeous large Charlotte flourish which I
wanted to showcase all of its beauty so I decided to cut this flourish into two pieces,
and inked with this lovely green....

Next, I inked this sweet Adore tag from Circle Tags Set 1
then with some foam tape, I adhered onto part of the flourish.
I think it looks great with all the fussy cutting sitting underneath..

Lastly, I have added the month & year to my layout..
The 2018 I simply inked it with a lovely pale green
which I thought looked great...

However, with the month September, I inked with a burgandy a
but wasn't really loving it so I decided to apply a thick coat of gesso over it instead
which I think looked so much better,

I really love how this has turned out!
I hope you liked it too & have been inspired you in some way

Cherish This Moment Altered Wooden Square Plaque by Tania Ridgwell

Hi there!

Tania joining you today to share the second of my DT projects with you all for this month.
I just love Altered Art so today I am sharing an altered Wooden Square Plaque.

"Cherish This Moment"

2 Crafty Products Used:

*Charlotte Page Flourish
*Mini Flourish Bits
*Mollie's Butterfly Set
*Mini Title Stick Set 5

I have used the stunning Mintay Graceful Collection to create this project.  Probably my all time favourite papers 💜💜  Once I chose the paper for the background of my square plaque I set about decorating.

I coloured the Charlotte Flourish and Mini Flourish Bits with Art Alchemy Waxes - Sweet Rose and Electric Violet.
I wanted some depth behind my photo so before I put the photo on I added some paper layers to the centre of the plaque.  Once the Charlotte Flourish was dry I cut it in half and added one half to the top and one to the bottom tucked in under the paper layers.  I then added lots of fussy cut elements tucked in under the photo and among the paper layers.

I added lots of blooms around the photo and then tucked in the Mini Flourish Bits.  I left the Mollie's Butterflies raw and added them to the flower clusters.  I also added a couple of raw Titles from the Mini Stick Set 5 and finished of my plaque by adding some tiny glass domes and randomly splashing on some White Linen Dylusions Spray.

Thats' all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all with my little Beyond the Page project.
Did you know if you like any of the gorgeous Chipboard I have used on my project
it is all available on the 2 Crafty Website here

Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.
