Our Little Family - Laura Gilhuly

Hi everyone!
I am back to share my next layout!

Today I have used a family photo from a Photo Shoot and love how this page turned out.

2Crafty Products used:

Magnolia Stems
Clock Face Discs
Fine Doily Photo Adornment Set
Celtic Square Asst Set 1
Our Little Family Title

I wanted the title to stand out from the layout and coloured it with an orange rust colour and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I prepped all the chipboard pieces with white gesso.

On the right hand side I've added one of the
Fine Doily Photo Adornment tucked in amongst the flowers.  Above that on the top right, I've
added a small cluster using flowers and one of the pieces from the Celtic Square Asst Set 1.

I have added clusters of pieces around the page and love how it adds interest and also
texture to the page.  On the left hand side I have combined Clock Face Discs, another of the
Fine Doily Adornment pieces and one of the Magnolia Stems.

I layered different coloured mists and ink to attain the look I desired.

I added some bronze mist to add a bit of sheen.

"precious"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

 Hello everyone,

Here is my first inspiration for this new year of creativity!
I was lucky enough to receive a gift of a photo shoot to do with my grandchildren.
A great moment of happiness and laughter that we shared together.

"precious"

I started by applying a coat of white gesso to each chipboard.
I used my favorite chipboard "Clock Face Frames".
Then I added Lindy's Gang embossing powder in the shade 'Golden Angel Wings' and finished using  "Bronze Age" wax.
I also used "Bronze Age" wax for the word "precious".
I love this typography.

In the same way, I rub the phrase "Me & My Grandma" with "Bronze Age" wax.
I position it partially on my photo.

Here I create a cluster of embellishments or insert "Foliage Set 11" leaves.
On the ends, I add “Terra Cotta Rust” colored embossing powder.

The "magnolia stems" chipboard was also enhanced with embossing powder.
I did not heat the powder precisely to obtain a "mixed media" effect.
Finally, I add white gesso stains.

I hope this presentation gives you some inspiration.

Thank you for your visit!

"Best Holiday Ever"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

It is with great pleasure that I present my second inspiration for this month of September.

A colorful layout with this beautiful photo of a "little cousin" contemplating the sea.
These photos give me joy and leave me unforgettable memories.

"Best Holiday Ever"

The chipboard used:

- Best Holiday Ever
- Mini Decorative Frame Set 9
- Magnolia Stems
- Heart Bubbles

I start by applying a layer of white gesso on each chipboard.

The chipboards have all been embellished with inks from Lindy’s Gang.
For the chipboard "Magnolia Stems" I use coral shades "Cape Rod Coral"
and "Kissin Kenickie Coral" which I apply with a brush.

This flower pattern is divinely beautiful. I raised it slightly so that it overlaps the photo.

I added a little touch of fantasy by placing this beautiful frame directly on my photo.
To improve the structure of my layout, I’ve inserted these adorable "Hearts Bubbles".
They also exist with stars and circles. I love them.

I chose an imposing title and, just like for the frames and bubbles, I opted for a navy blue shade.
I don’t think that little boy had the most wonderful holidays of his life.
He is still too young to be aware of it, but he will keep a memory.

I hope you liked this layout and inspired you to enhance your beautiful family photos by creating a beautiful decor with chipboards.

Thank you for your visit!

and of course I have used some gorgeous 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces...

2 Crafty Chipboard Used:
beautiful loopy font
Magnolia Stems
leafty Twig branches
2018
dream - Fine word set 3

Let's start with the gorgeous Magnolia Stems, where I have teamed them up with the perfect papers
these beautiful 13@rts - Blue Magnolia papers, I have simply given these stems a light coat of gesso
then cutting these chipboard Magnolia Stems into smaller pieces & adhering them thoughout the paper & fussy cut out Magnolia's...

Next up I decided to add some more foilage thoughtout the fussy cut out paper & chipboard magnolias
so I went with some leafty Twig branches, inking these branches with a lovely light blue, them cutting them into smaller pieces before adhering...Then I have added the year 2018 given this two coats of gesso...

And lastly, we have my title 'beautiful dream' that I have sitting to the right side of my photo...
For the beautiful loopy font I have inked this with a navy blue, then went with
the word dream from the Fine word set 3 inking this with the same light blue as the leafty Twig branches...

That's it from me today,
I hope I have inpsired you in some way
Until next time, HAPPY creating....

"believe"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I present to you my second inspiration of this month of April.
A spring layout always using our fantastic chipboards including
these beautiful flowers "Magnolia Stems".

"believe"

The chipboards used:

- Christmas Mini-Word Set 2
- Magnolia Stems
- Aged Film Strip Set
- Flower Doilies
- Lacy Border Set 1

To begin, I apply a layer of white gesso to every chipboard.

To embellish the chipboards "Magnolia Stems" I chose ink "Oxide Distress" color "musard seed"
and "rustic wilderness".

I love the way these flowers were designed.
Their size and structure make them easy to ink, making it even easier to play
with colors and reveal details.

I proceed in the same way on the chipboard "Lacy Border".
For the chipboard "Aged Film Strip", I put a thin layer of ink "Oxide Distress"
color 'brushed corduroy'.
Using this close-up, I wanted to show you how chipboards fit perfectly with paper embellishments.

As for the chipboard "Flower Doilies" I apply a simple layer of white acrylic paint.
It really is one of my favorites. It has a striking resemblance to a lace doily.

In order not to waste the particle boards, I cut the "Aged Film Strip" particle boards.
One part for the top and another for the bottom on which I add my title.

I hope I gave you some inspiration with this layout.

See you soon for another inspiration!

'Imagination' with Emma Zappone

Hello 2Crafty friends.
Em with you today, sharing a 5x7 canvas panel.

Here are the pieces used on this project.

Round Ornate Frames
Ginny's Flourish Set
Magnolia Stems

Beautiful elements used within the background on this project, to add more depth to the layers.

The delicate flourish has a simple shimmer finish on it, but adds a level of softness to the canvas and paper elements.

I just adore these ornate frames, and that they add a unique shape that the eye just loves to explore.
Again a simple finish with a colour powder finish.

The magnolia flowers have been cut up into individual flowers and the stems removed to create a beautiful cluster under the butterfly wing. I coated these with Distress Oxides, so that the design lines were still visible.

I really love the finished look and feel of this canvas.

I hope it inspires you to get creative.

Till next time, stay Crafty.
Em xx

'Extraordinary' by Emma Zappone

Hello everyone.
Hope today finds you well.
Today I share with you a more vintage/grandma feel layout.

I used awesome chipboard elements.......

Mini Decorative Frames
Magnolia Stems
Kara's Oval Frame

This page I kept the finishes simple on the chipboard, because I wanted that vintage brown tone.
So I simply clear embossed all the pieces, which darkened the chipboard up just perfectly.

Both the frames sit beautifully around my page, woven amongst the paper layers.

The stunning Magnolia stem has been trimmed to fit into 3 locations complimenting the frames.

I love clear embossing the chipboard as it details all the scoring and delicateness of the pieces.

I do hope you enjoyed my share today.
I look forward to seeing you next month.

Till then, stay Crafty, Em xx
