'Spring Cards'
with Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share some spring inspiration with you.
I am soooo glad that Spring is finally here!

I have created a pair of cards
with lots of spring florals.

2Crafty Products used:

For my first card, I have used one of the 'ATC Georgian Frames',
layered with one of the words from the 'Mini Word Set 1'.
I have painted the frame white and the title purple to match my papers.

I have also used one of the branches from 'Foliage Set 8'.
I have finished it first in white and then roughly painted the ends purple.

I have also used one of 'Gigi's Flowers',
also finished in white.

For my second card, I have again used one of the branches from 'Foliage Set 8'.
again with the same white and purple finish.

I have used one of the 'Flower Doilies', finished in white,
and layered with another of the words from the 'Mini Word Set 1',
painted purple.

Lastly, I have used another of 'Gigi's Flowers',
finished in white and tucked into my layers.

That's all from me today, hope you liked these cards.

'Perfection' Scrapbook Layout
By Kripa Koushik

Hello friends,

Its starting to look & feel like autumn here, yet I'm unable to move away from lush green
& pretty pink flowers. So, my project today is a layout that looks a lot like spring.

"Perfection"

As the background was dark and provided enough contrast, I decided to paint the chipboard
pieces to blend in with the colours on the pattern paper. Layers of pattern paper & chipboard
have been built on top of a piece from the Cog Nested Frame. A smaller piece from the
same set has been used in the top right cluster. Tucked in between layers of pattern paper
and lace are pieces from...
Leafy Shrub Set 1, Mini flourish bits, Gigi's flowers & groovy flowers.

All the chipboard pieces were coated with two layers of heavy gesso. Dab the gesso using
a make up sponge to get a rough application. Once completely dry, paint the
Cog Nested Frame, Leafy Shrub Set 1, Mini Flourish Bits with shades of pink &
 green Twinkling H2Os.
Gigi's flower got a coat of dark burgundy acrylic paint and Groovy flowers peach acrylic paint.

Finally, the title piece - Perfection.I didn't add any colour to the title piece, its just
coated with several coats of white gesso.

2crafty chipboard used:
* Gigis flowers
* Perfection Title
* Groovy Flowers
* Leafy Shrub Set 1
* Cog Nested Frame
* Mini Flourish Bits

Thank you for stopping by today.
Until next time, happy creating!

April Inspiration and VIDEO tutorial by Tammy

Hello 2Crafties!!
Tammy here today to share this month's projects.
I have a couple of layouts and a VIDEO tutorial to share with you all.
First up I have a layout titled:

'This Boy'

A layout about my boy and his gift with children.
I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
"6 inch Revolution Frames"
"Chevron Bits"
"This Boy Title"

I applied black gesso to the "6" Revolution Frame" and then embossed it with a
distressed rust emboss powder.  This gave it a grungy metal look.

I applied the same emboss powder to some of the 'Chevron Bits', but achieved a totally different look by simply applying white gesso first, instead of black gesso.

It looks much more rusty and copper in colour than the circle frame.

To the other parts of the 'Chevron Bits' I added various ink colours until I achieved a grungy look I was happy with.

I just love the versatility of  2 Crafty Chipboard!!

For the 'This Boy' title, I applied black gesso and then clear emboss powder to the 'this' part.
To the 'boy' section, I used various ink colours until I achieved the grungy look.

I love the titles with two different fonts, and I love finding different ways to alter them.

I've created a video, so you can see EXACTLY how this page unfolded.

I hope you enjoy it.
I'd love some feedback!

My second creation this month is titled:

'Sightsee'

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

'Sightsee Title'
'Fir Xmas Tree'
'Thistle Shrub'
'Summer Leaf Stems'

I painted the 'Summer Leaf Stems' with a few coats of white gesso and tucked them in between my photos.

Next I grabbed the two 'Fir Xmas Trees' and trimmed off the star on the top and the pot on the bottom.
They are the perfect shape for my layout (minus the Xmas feel) as this layout is about taking our USA family to my step-dad's home.  He lives in a forest, surrounded by Pines and Gums so these trees were perfect.

I then applied watercolours in various shades of green to achieve a dappled look.

To the 'Sightsee Title', I added a variety of Inks until I achieved a grungy, earthy colour I was happy with.

I placed this on top of my cluster.

I also added in the 'Thistle Shrub'

I left this raw, as I felt it went well with the earthy natural tones of the layout.

I really love all the natural fibres in this layout, and I enjoyed altering the chipboard to match in with this.

I have an extra share today - a layout I recently created for Scrap the Girls and their current Challenge Challenge- all about 'Me'.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

"Gigi's Flowers"
"Mini Branches"
"This is Me Title"

I applied Black Gesso to the title 'This is Me'.

I then applied some Finnabair Opal Magic in Aqua/Rose to just the 'Me' section.

I applied black gesso to the 'Mini Branches' and tucked these throughout the layout.

I applied a few coats of white gesso to the 'Gigi Flowers' and scattered these through the layout.

Lots of vibrant colour, lots of journaling. Very ME!!

So that's it from me this month, if you'd like to see more you can head over to my BLOG

April Inspiration + VIDEO Tutorial
By Kareen Dion

Hi everyone!

It's my turn with my inspiration of the month! And today,
I share with you a video process of one of my layouts!

"Vacation"

My first layout is about vacation, that time that we are waiting for all year long!
It was in Summer 2017, on the beach. My children made peace for one minute
and let me take this beautiful picture.

For this layout, you have a video tutorial! I used several chipboards as ...:
11" Viney Border Frame. I cut it in several part to have the leaves instead of using
it all over my layout. I embossed them with black embossing powder, to contrast with
the rest of my embellishments.  I also used the Gigi's Flowers, Intricate Seahorses,
Oriental Flower Stems and the title "vacation" from the Mini Travel Word Set 2.

Here you can see the Intricate Seahorses, I embossed it and then added a little bit of
white gesso, just to give him more light to it. You also see the Gigi's Flowers that I used
under my flair.

The Gigi's Flowers are embossed with glitter embossing powder and
the word vacation with white embossing powder.

As you will see in the video, I used the Oriental Flower Stem in the background and
enhanced it with a little bit of white gesso, just to make it pop from the black background.

The final touch with the Mini Travel Word Set 2, with the title "Vacation".

"Cute"

For my second layout, I chose a picture of my daughter with our cat "Biscuit".
She is a real cat lover. I wanted to create a soft layout with this picture.

I used a lot of chipboards of course. I used the Beaded Hanging Heart Set,
Corner Leafy Swirls, Leafy Twig Branches and the Cute Loopy Font.

I almost always embossed my chipboards with embossing powder, it gives great coverage.
The Cute Loopy Font is no exception and I love the two-tones on it.

The Beaded Hanging Heart Set is embossed with the same color that the title,
to keep coherence on the layout. You can see the Leafy Twig Branches, I chose a
lighter color to soften my layout.

The Corner Leafy Swirls are also embossed with embossing powder, they have several tones in it.
