"World Traveller" PROCESS VIDEO by Tammy Klingner

Hi there creatives!

Tam here today to share my latest design...

"World Traveller"

A layout celebrating my gorgeous girl before she jumped on a plane to fly a million miles away for a month on her recent Science Scholarship Adventure!!
An amazing experience and moment in her life that I had to capture.

I've used watercolours and gone back to my brighter style.

I created a PROCESS VIDEO of this one, so you can watch it come together.
I hope you enjoy it...

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

NEW "Charlotte's Flowers"
"World Traveller Title"
"Heidi's Vines"

As you can see in the video, I first coated all the chipboard pieces in white gesso.

To the "Heidi's Vines" I added watercolours.
I used a mix of greens for the foliage, and red and pink for the berries.
Once dry, I added white pen marks.
I find this gives a more realistic, and less flat feel.

To the NEW "Charlottes Flowers", I added a blend of watercolours for a variegated look.
I then tucked these in amongst the clusters.
These new flowers are really fine and detailed. I love them and can see they will be making quite a few appearances in my creations.

As I'd used a lot of different colours, I decided to coat my "World Traveller title" in white acrylic paint as this would go with the fresh feel the layout has.

There you have it!
I really love using watercolours on my chippy as it gives it an arty, washy feel.

I'll see you again next month!

"Friends" by Tammy Klingner

Hi there creative souls.
Tam here today to share my latest design.......

"Friends"

For this layout, I wanted to steer away from my usual bright colours,
and have a go at using a more pastel colour palette.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

*NEW* "6" Floral Cluster Border"
"Lattice Leaves"
"Friends Loopy Font Title"
"Mini Branches"
"Polaroid Frames"

I firstly coated ALL pieces with white gesso.

I absolutely LOVE that NEW 6"Floral Cluster Border.
I couldn't wait to use it.
I coloured each flower individually with watercolour paint.
Once dry I added a few simple pen marks.

I just love the mottled look this technique creates.
Soft and lovely.

I did the same to the "Mini Branches"
I love the effect of the pen marks.
It gives them an arty/whimsical feel.

The "Polaroid Frame" was painted with a grey/silver watercolour
and then swiped with white gesso.

I simply added white paint to the "Friends Loopy Title" and the "Lattice Leaves".
I wanted that fresh simplicity!

There you are, I hope you like this one.
It was fun to try something a little different.

I'll see you again soon.

Summer Days Dreaming
by Tammy Klingner

Hi there 2Crafty Creatives,

Tam here today to share my latest layout titled

'Summer Days'

It's freezing where I live in Australia right now, so the next best thing is to scrap summer memories.

This one has been created for CSI as 2Crafty Chipboard are the sponsors this month.
This one is Case No 285.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

'Summer Days Title'
'Clouds'
'Flowers Frames'
'Tree with Sparrows'
'Polaroid Assorted Frames'

To the 'Clouds', I added white gesso, and then some acrylic paint.

I added a few doodles with black pen, as it just suited the whimsical feel.

For the 'Summer Days' title I firstly coated with white gesso and then added acrylic paints in stripes, creating a sunset feel, which always reminds me of the beach.

To the top of the title I added a bird from the 'Tree with Sparrows'.
I just gave it a coat of white gesso and paint, and then added some pen marks.

I also added in a few of the 'Flower Frames'.

I added white gesso, and then just lightly brushed some paint mixed with lots of water over the top.

I then tucked these amongst my layers.

To finish off the layout, and to draw attention to the photo, I added a frame from the
 'Polaroid Assorted Frames'.

Of course I added some doodling.

So here's a summary of how I cracked the case.....
Case #285. I used the colours and ....
Evidence - stripes, flowers, sum, clouds, wet medium, pattern with leaves, sunglasses and a bird.....
Testimony - Summer Vacation topic

That's it from me today, I hope you join in the CSI challenge, and dig out some 2Crafty Chipoard!!

More of my work can be found on my BLOG.

'Fun Times'
by Tammy Klingner

Hi there Creative souls.
Tam here and I've popped in today to share my latest.....
A fun layout celebrating a very special friend and all that we have in common!!
I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
"Decorative Dangling Bits Set 1" *NEW*
"Aztec Flower Set 1" *NEW*
"Mini #Word Set 2"
"Doodled Frames"
I added black ink to one of the "Doodled Frames" and also to one
of the "Decorative Dangles".
I love the contrast of the black against the gorgeous teal colour.
.I painted those gorgeous NEW "Aztec Flowers" in white paint,
and then added a few swipes of teal ink.
They are so intricate that they didn't need anything else.
They shine on their own.
I used two of the words from the "Mini #Word Set 2"
 - #funtimes and #joy.
I simply added white paint to these.
Such a fun layout to create!

I hope this has inspired you to get creative......
Using 2Crafty Chipboard certainly makes it EASY!!!

'Let the adventure begin'
by Tammy Klingner

Hello there 2Crafty creatives.
Tam here today to share my latest creation.

'Let the Adventure Begin'

A layout celebrating the moment my girl got her Learner's Licence.
Yikes!! Definitely a moment that needs to be scrapped.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

'Adventure' loopy font Title
'Steampunk Cog Strips'
'Steampunk Gears Small'
'Mini Fast Forward Arrows'

I began by colouring the 'Steampunk Cog Strips'.
I added a bit of this and a bit of that until I was happy with the mix.

I swiped a bit of black gesso, then added some metallique wax, some turquoise ink and a bit of copper wax too.

I did the same to the 'Steampunk Gears - Small'.
I really love the touches of turquoise.

I applied white gesso to the 'Adventure loopy font title'.
Once dry I added some swipes of turquoise ink and a touch of metallique wax too.

I painted a couple of the arrows from the 'Mini Fast Forward Arrows' in black gesso.
I popped out the inner arrows and then to the circular arrows I added some white pen marks.

Fun to use both of these arrows on the layout.

There you have it!

I hope this page has inspired you.

I'll be back again a bit later in the month for my next share.

Until then you can head to my BLOG for further inspiration.
