'Belive in Miracles' Layout Inspiration by Elena Martynova

Happy Monday!! A huge welcome to you my 2Crafty friends!

Spring is a time of miracles! Time of awakening of nature, new discoveries, travel and love!

I love spring, every winter I look forward to its arrival!
And here it is, like a little girl timidly making their moves, spreads, the first flowers and leaves.
And though sometimes it snows or cold wind blows, still, spring is very close, around the corner, and it breath is so clearly felt on the frozen face :)))

I found this cute picture of a girl in Pinterest. Usually girls dress in pink,
and here such lovely shade of blue, and so it goes to this baby!
The photo palette prompted me to take a piece of paper with wooden boards by Lemoncraft.
I carved a lot of roses, butterflies feathers and dials.
Placed them casually, with a slope to create dynamics in the page.
Chipboard is covered with embossing powder.
For the dial and the inscription I chose a brown shade with a bronze tint.
I covered the leaves of the rose chip with white powder, flowers are blue.
Here you can see a few more photos:

Tam's first share for August

Hi there 2Crafty Creatives
Tam here today to share my latest inspiration using 2Crafty Chipboard.
This one is called:

"#LAUGH"

A fun, silly layout that captures the essence of my family.
 Love them to bits.
I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard on this layout:
"Crazy Stitched Panel"
"6 inch Revolution Frames"
"Doodled Arrows"
"Tiny Hearts & Stars"
"Mini #Word Set 2"

I began by adding white gesso to all of the chipboard, except for the title.

I then added colour using acrylic paints.

I painted two of the "Doodled Arrows" in blue.

I then added them underneath the photos, I wanted them to look as though it was one arrow, rather than two joined together.

I also added some black ink to finish it off.

I added a combination of turquoise and green paint to the "Six inch Revolution Frames".
I love the two tone/ombre effect it gives.

I also added a touch of black ink.

I trimmed down the "Crazy Stitched Panel" and painted the segments in a pinky/red tone, again giving it a slightly ombre look.

I again added some black ink.

This really ties the layout together.

I added yellow paint to some of the "Tiny Hearts & Stars" and randomly placed these onto the layout.

Finally I added some black gesso to the "#LAUGH" from the "Mini #Word Set 2".
I placed this title onto the centre of the photos.

I love the fun feel of this layout.

I think it works really well with the silly photos.

Have you scrapped some fun, silly photos lately?
I really hope this post inspires you to do so.
I'll be back again a bit later in the month with another inspiration.
Until then you can see more on my blog.

January Layouts by Kavitha

Hello friends,
Kavitha here today to share two layouts with you.

"Believe in Miracles"

For my first layout, I chose a soft pastel colour palette.
I used beautiful chippies to create the floral arrangement around the picture.

First I gave a coat of white gesso to all the chipboard pieces,
& I colored some of them and left some of them white.
I trimmed off the "Viney Page Frame" and used
around the floral arrangement.

You can see in the photo above how I've combined the pieces.

"Cherish the Moment"

My second layout is soft shabby one against a black background.
I used beautiful flourishes from 2crafty to
create the composition.

I heat embossed the chippies with black and white embossing powders.
The butterflies are colored with watercolors.

A Little Leftover Christmas Magic
By Jennifer Snyder

Happy Start to 2016.
I wish you all a crafty and healthy year.
Jennifer Snyder here to share some Christmas Magic still left over in my heart
 and on my scrap table.

Before we start, we would love you to become a blog follower & leave a blog
comment to be eligible to go in our monthly draw for a great chipboard prize pack.

First up is a layout I made using the January Flying Unicorns Kit of the Month and 13Arts papers.  While it may be January,  I wanted to play with the newest 2Crafty releases and show you just how detailed and beautiful they truly are.

This layout uses:
"Believe In Miracles", "Engraved Baubles",  "Holly Twig Branches"

The Santa image was one that came from a very old postcard image, however I altered the colors and tones.  I wanted to give the image a sepia appeal and then blend the unfinished chipboard pieces on the page.   The "Engraved Baubles" pieces are way too gorgeous, detailed and delicate for me to cover with paint or embossing enamel.  I honestly
believe the best way to showcase these is just to let them shine naturally.

The "Holly Twig Branches" were a bit of a different story.  The look wonderful with
a touch of color, some light accents on the edges.  I dabbed some acrylic paint on
the edges and in the berries for a little distinction.

I also left the title chipboard piece, "Believe In Miracles", unfinished.

Here is another view of the gorgeous, amazing detail in the "Engraved Baubles".
How can I possibly cover them up and do them justice?

Here is another view of the side embellishment on the page.
Let's not forget the little details at the bottom of the page.
The "Holly Twig Branches" once again shine in the corner of the page,
accented with a few paper pine branches, flowers and berries all clustered together.

In addition to the layout, I have some cards to share.

I made a few cards to share with you this month as well.  I am in a kraft mood lately.
My cards use a newly released 2Crafty chipboard design, "Stellar Snowflakes" ,
as well as a gorgeous delicate older design, "Squiggly Heart Cluster".

This is my first card.   It have some elements and embellishments that I grabbed
from the Flying Unicorns kits for January.

This is a close up of the 2Crafty "Squiggly Heart Cluster". It's delicate and darling.
I thought it would make a great focal piece for my kraft card.

I did leave it natural looking but dabbed a bit of gesso on them to match the card.

This card features a newly released design - 2Crafty "Stellar Snowflakes".
Aren't they just delightful?  I left them naturally unfinished and topped them with
some metal embellishments.  I also added elements from Flying Unicorns January
kit on this card as well.

Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate it.
