December inspiration by Kavitha

Hello 2crafty fans,

Kavitha here today with my last post for 2crafty.
Its always a sad moment to step down from the team, I have worked a little more than a year

with 2Crafty, and its been one of the best teams ever and I had a great time working with

the gorgeous chippies.

I absolutely love the range and quality of the Chipboards.
Big thanks to everyone for encouraging me throughout the journey.

"Magical" - Winter canvas

For my first project I made a festive winter canvas.

After preparing my canvas with light paste+ snowflake paste for a change

I glued down my chipboard pieces to the base first.
 I cut up Xmas Star Spray into two pieces and used on either side of the canvas
 and also added two pieces of Leafy Rounds to construct the overall composition.
I coated them with thick layer of heavy white gesso, I just dabbed them so that I get
 a nice texture on

the chipboard. 

Now I colored my canvas with teal and grey color bloom sprays.

Once it dried I mixed white gesso+snowflake paste and dry brushed it over

the chipboards partially to highlight it from the base.

Among the layers I added a piece of Decorative disc, Bird House and finished off 

with the Fine Words "Magical".
Everything is painted with white gesso +snowflake paste mix.

I glued down some Tiny stars to the background randomly from the ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars.

I painted them with white gesso and sprinkled some teal glitter while the gesso is still wet.

"Beauty" - Layout

For my next project I made a layout using Kaisercraft "Wandering ivy" collection.

The "Ivy clusters" chipboard design perfectly goes with this collection.

 All my chipboard pieces are heat embossed with different color embossing powders.

I also used the Flower Doilies and Frankie's Frame behind the photo. 

Two pieces of Ivy Cluster hanging down towards the bottom of the page from the photo.

 I added a couple of Addy's Butterflies and finished off with the Mini word "Beauty".

November Projects by Kavitha

Kavitha here with you all today to share my 

November inspiration

"Adorable" - Layout

I love the flourish/swirly designs from 2crafy ,today

I have combined some frames and swirls to compose a elegant design.

I used Lucy's flourish frame and Celia's flourish to frame the

picture which is heat embossed with glitter mint embossing powder.

Around the frame I used Celebration swirls which is heat embossed 

with sassy sapphire embossing powder.

I finished off the layout with the title "Adorable" which perfectly suited the little girl.

It is heat embossed thrice with white embossing powder.

"Forest Fairy" - Canvas

I created this canvas in forest theme,after creating the mixed media

background I used some real tree barks and green moss

to create the composition.

 All my chipboard pieces are concentrated in the center of the canvas,

for the first layer I used cut up pieces of Viney page frame which 

are painted with light and dark green acrylic paints.

 For the second layer I heat embossed a 6" clock face with black embossing

powder and rubbed some silver wax over it.

 For the last layer I used corner Lorena & I just left it raw for contrast.

October projects by Kavitha

Kavithe here today to share my October projects

"What a wonderful day" Layout

First I have a layout to share inspired by the gorgeous autumn colors.
I used 6" clock face frame behind my photo which

is heat embossed with glitter black embossing powder.

I heat embossed two Cassie's flourish pieces with copper embossing powder 

and added it to top and bottom of the page

For the title I used "What a wonder day" which I left raw to make it

pop amongst the colors.

Mixed media canvas

My next project is a mixed media canvas in bright colors.

I painted the Corner leafy swirls with acrylic paints,cut

them up into two pieces and used below the photo.

Behind the photo i used the  rectangle piece from the frame flourish set,heat embossed 

it with purple embossing powder.

On the left side of my canvas among my embellishments i tucked in a piece

of Corner Gemma's which is heat embossed

with glitter teal embossing powder.

September inspiration by kavitha

Hello 2crafty fans,

Kavitha with you here today to share my September inspiration.

"Nature Inspired" Canvas

First up is a  nature inspired canvas with lots of greens and beautiful chippies.

I created the background with stenciling and crackle paste.

Colored the background with different shades of yellow and greens.

The concept is a birds nest on tree.To create the nest i used one of the negative circle chipboard 

which is painted in brown.I stuffed some sisal and gauze cloth inside and 

layered my chippies on top of that

I used some chipboard designs on the background which is coated with white gesso 

first and then randomly painted with yellows and greens along 

with the background.

The tree branch and other chippies on top are heat embossed

with green embossing powder.

Finally i added some birds and a bird house and 

finished of with Fine word set "Love"

 "Captured Moments" Layout

My second one is a layout in soft pastel shades.

I created my composition with lots of fussy cut flowers and

added beautiful chippies in between the layers

which is heat embossed with various colored embossing powders.

The title is left raw to match the

background.The fencing wire panel is heat embossed with

white and added in the background.
