"Your Special Day February 3rd" by Amy Voorthuis

Goodmorning sweet 2Crafty friends,

I am so excited that you are here with us today as it's my turn to bring you some inspiration. For this occasion I created a layout with a picture of my beautiful niece Merel. Merel just turned 19 on the 3rd of February and she is one year and four days older then Kevin who just turned 18 on the 7th. I made this layout as a present for her. I was inspired by a color challenge on Facebook but I did not have time to enter the challenge.

Your Special Day:

2Crafty Chipboard used:

 Card Word Circles Sentiment
Flourish Frames Set 5
Vintage Oval Frame
11" Clock Face Frames
Beaded Hanging Heart Set
Fine Word Set - Months
Mini Word Set 1
Chain Lengths
Filigree Arrows
Circle Revolution Frames

I have used a whole bunch of chipboard pieces as I really love to combine them. All the pieces are treated with one layer of white gesso. Lately I really love to color my chipboard pieces with spray paint and then add some waxes or rust paste.

The white chipboard pieces you see on my work are treated with two layers of white embossing powder. I also did a lot of machine stitching on my layout and  I have used some rub ons and flowers from three different manufacturers.

"Wonderful Memory of You" by Amy Voorthuis

Hi there lovely 2Crafty fans,

It's a lovely day to visit the blog because I have another layout to share with you all. What I really love about 2Crafty Chipboard pieces are that they are so delicate and swirly which makes your layouts & other works so romantic and I am a sucker for romance and hearts.

Wonderful Memory of You:

2Crafty Chipboards used:
Mini Word Set 3
Memory of You
Beaded Hanging Heart Set
Frame Handrawn Hearts
Squiggly Heart Cluster
Leafy Shrub Set 1

I just can't stop creating in purple colors since it is my favorite color lol, this layout was made with the pretty "Spring Purple" collection. All the chippies are painted with one layer of white gesso then I painted the "Memory of You" phrase with some purple acrylic paint then I added some transparant crackle paste and some wax when it was dry.

I painted the Leafy Shrub Set 1 with some green acrylic matte paint and then I added some wax and purple impasto paint. I also added some hearts from the "Steampunk Hearts" mould by Finnabair which I painted with black gesso en pruple wax. In the end I added some pearle on the leafy set to give it more demension. The flowers are all handmade and I did a lot of fussy cutting as well.

August Inspiration by Jessika Lundman

"Those Eyes"

Hi there!
Jessika here today to share with you my latest two layouts using 2crafty chipboards.
I went with two different themes, one dark and sparkly and one light and natural.

This first one has to be one of my favorite layouts in a long time. I was thinking
meadow when I made this. You know, flowers, leaves, natural elements and butterflies.

I left all the chipboard raw and combined it with a little raw metal.
The plastic beads are supposed to resemble water droplets.

The butterflies are rub ons.

This next layout I went dark. The photo is an Abba show we went to and
I wanted the layout to give the same showbusiness and cool feeling.

The chipboards in the background are colored with black acrylic paint and
glitter paint and the chipboards in front are painted with silver metallic paint.

On the background I have used a combination of gesso through a stencil,
glitter paint, silver embossing powder, mesh tape and blue and purple paint.

Floral spray

That's all from me today! Have an awesome crafty week!

Canvas & Journal Page
by Athanasia

'LOVE'
 Tiny Canvas

Hello 2Crafty friends!
Today I'm sharing a tiny canvas I created for a friend of mine as a present.

Before we get started though......

Please remember to become a blog follower & leave a blog comment to
be eligible to go in our monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack.

My canvas only measures 8x7 cm and I really love how small and cute it looks.
Even though it is so small I managed to use 7 chipboard pieces and 2 metal pieces
to create a dimensional cluster like a pyramid!
This is how it looked before I altered the chipboards and paint it all.

In order to alter the chipboard pieces I used H2Os watercolors and silks by ColourArte
and black embossing powder by Lindy's Stamp Gang.

First I created a mixed media background and then I started gluing all the
embellishments with 3D Gloss Gel.

I really love how this  mixed media pyramid looks!
Here are some closeups with details...

'Walk Alone In Darkness'

I like making pages with quotes I love in my black journal.
For this one I used some small butterflies of the Butterflies set to represent
the crowd and one big Marianne's Butterfly to be main character of the quote.
I also used some pieces of the Circle Lace Panel - I think it matches so
 beautifully with the butterflies.

First I glued all the chipboard pieces on the page and then I painted them with
black and white Gesso to create a light and dark shading all over the page...

For the small butterflies I used ColourArte sprays to color them and Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powders with stamps on them and also on the background to embody them on it.

For the big butterfly I used irridescent silks to color it. They really make the perfect paint for black surface. I also used a White UniBall pen to make some doodling on it and also write the quote.
