By Rachael Funnell

 Hello 2 Crafty fans,
Rach with you today with this fun, girly layout
featuring a selfie of me & my mother...

2 Crafty Chipboard Used:
Palm leaves
Swiggly heart cluster
Grateful Script (title)
 Flim Strip - Medium

Let's start with my fabulous background
I did something a little different & have created this
using the Sqiggly heart cluster, just like a stamp.
I added a coat of gesso tothe cluster and while
still wet pressed the cluster onto the page & repeated the process..
I just love how it has turned out...

With the Grateful (title)& Flim Strip - Medium
I have added black ink.. Which I think look great
up against the bright colours...

And Lastly the super cute Palm leaves
where I have inked with this nice green
using Tim Holtz - Distress Oxcide - Rustic Wilderness

AND thats it from me for now...
Hopefully I inpsired you to create a unique background
using a favorite piece of 2 Crafty Chipboard to your next page..
Until next time x

Grateful

By Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2crafty fans,

I hope you are all safe and doing well in these crazy times. Here in Quebec we're in the midst of a second quarantine, with a lot of our normal activities being shut down. However, I'm grateful to be safe and to have my husband and kids around me so we can help each other keep our spirits up.
This was the inspiration for the layout I am revealing today.

"Grateful"

For the "Fine & Fancy butterflies", I used my fingers to apply a green-gold shimmering wax.
On the "Mini Flourish Bits", I applied ivory embossing enamel.

On the "Whispy Dandelions", I used gray embossing ink and dabbed some bright yellow
 embossing ink on top.

For the "Frame Handdrawn Hearts", I applied 2 coats of bright yellow embossing ink.

For the title, "Grateful Script", I used two coats of black embossing powder.

In this layout, I used the following 2Crafty chipboards:

Whispy Dandelions [M00705]
Mini Flourish bits [MB006]
Fine and Fancy Butterfly set [M00794]
Frame Handrawn Hearts [FR0082]
Grateful [W00510]

I hope you enjoyed this layout and that it gave you ideas for your own creations!
I'll be back in a few weeks with more inspiration to share with you.
Happy crafting and see you soon!

Grateful
by Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty fans!

I hope everybody is well and holding up in these very special times. On my side, my family and I are adjusting alright and we do consider ourselves lucky to be together and healthy. We're taking plenty of time to learn new crafts, discover new hobbies and realize lots of experiments with our kids. It's also our very first homeschooling experiment and they seem to enjoy it so far.

Today, I'm presenting you a layout I made this week after we went outside on a sunny day for a bit of exercise (we're allowed to go outside for exercise as long as we stay at least 2m from people living outside our home).

I've also prepared a video to show the various techniques I used to prepare the elements in my layout:

"Grateful"

For the "6" Mandala 1", I applied a coat of black gesso then used my finger to apply a purple wax. Then I used an embossing tool to dry it.

With the "Leafy Silhouettes", I used a teal metallic paint and traced the borders with black ink.

On the "Lace Heart Frame", I used a black sandy embossing powder and then dabbed some yellow embossing ink on top.

For the title, "Grateful script", I used metallic red paint.

I used the following 2Crafty chipboards in this layout:
6" Mandala No.1 [M00790]
Leafy Silhouette [M00498]
Lace Heart Frame [FR0087]
Grateful -Script [W00510]

That's all for me today! I hope you've enjoyed this and I'll be back soon with more inspiration to share with you. Until then, stay safe!

Grateful by Tammy Klingner
includes a process VIDEO!!

G'day there 2Crafties!!

Tam here today to share not only a creation but a process video too!!!

This layout is titled:

'Grateful'

A layout that celebrates and documents our beautiful neighbours.

So grateful for them and to them, and love having them in our lives.

Let's take a look at the video  as that best shows you how this came together....

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
"Heart Clusters"
"Grateful title"
"Rose Set"
"6 inch Circle dot frames"
"Mini Branches"

As you can see in the video, I began by coating all of the chipboard in white Gesso.

To the "Heart Clumps" I added white paint.

I then added some doodling with a white pen.

I followed the same process for the "6 inch Circle dot frame".

The 'Grateful title' was painted with some soft watercolours.
I really love this look on chipboard.
It gives it a softer look, rather than bold.
Also, as it's soft it can be added over the photos slightly, without detracting from them.

To the "Rose Set", I also added watercolours.
Such a great finish.  Love the variance in the depth of colour.
I just LOVE the "Rose Set" chippy and could use it over and over (in fact I do!).

Finally, to the "Mini Branches", I stamped with a script stamp over the top.

This is a really simple, yet effective way to personalise your chippy.

Love it!

So that's it from me today.
I've been really enjoying playing with more softer colours lately.
So often, I am drawn to bright colours, so it's really nice to mix things up a little!!

I'll see you again next month with more chipboard creations!
In the meantime you can find me on my BLOG.
Love Tam

Grateful - with Emma

Hello to you wonderful 2Crafty friends,
hope your all enjoying those Sunday vibes!
Today I have another layout to share with you all using some more awesome chippy.

Chipboard used....

Grateful word
Fern leaf set
Foliage set 1
Mini flourish Bits

My chipboard this time has a couple of different finishes.
The Fern leaves have had a rust effect applied to them in the colour tones to compliment the image and papers.

Once dried I rubbed a little wax to add a few 'shimmer' highlights.

For the swirls I applied the good 'ol technique of emboss powder. With delicate flourishes like these, I find emboss powder the best.

Emboss powder sticks well to even the finest pieces of the flourish.

I went heavy with the rust paste on the foliage pieces to really get that texture through.
Love the way the chipboard looks with this medium.

The title word has also got the paste finish on it but this time I dabbed acrylic paint over the top and rubbed a little more wax for highlights.

I love how you can mix and match all these elements and they just work, complimenting each other.
And Chipboard that allows all these heat treatments and wet mediums to be applied is brilliant!

This is what makes scrapbooking a fantastic craft!

I will see you all again soon, thanks for visiting today and I hope you have a great weekend.

Em xx

"Grateful" Layout by Lisa Amiet

Hello 2Crafty Fans!

It's Lisa here today to share some inspiration with you.
I have a layout that I have created...

'Grateful'

Featuring my beautiful daughter who has recently had a birthday.... her 19th!! :0
Where did all those years go?!?

Her birthday request was for flowers, lots of flowers.
This is her with one of the bunches she received.
I have used some gorgeous chippie pieces for this one.

I have used the 'Moroccan Panel', which I have left raw.
I have also cut it up into pieces to use over my page.

I have also used one of the 'ATC Banner Set 1',
so sweet :) Which I have also left raw.

Some close ups of the panel pieces.

And lastly I have used 'Grateful - Script' as my title,
which I have finished in a weathered white embossing powder.

I hope you like what I have created, I really love how this one turned out.
