My Lovely Daughter
By Jenny J.

Good morning everyone!

Here is my second January inspiration at 2Crafty.

You will see below all the gorgeous pieces that I've used on that layout.

2Crafty Chipboard Used
-Star circular frames
-Interlocking grid panel
-Isn't she lovely
-Foliage set 6
-Foliage set 1
-Dandelions

As usual, I've started by covering my background paper with clear gesso.
Then, I've used modeling paste, 2 different stencils and some sprays to add a bit of textures.
I've displayed my photo on layers of cardboard and papers and of course,
a beautiful piece of 2Crafty chipboard: "Interlocking grid panel".
Both  pieces of this set are treated with black gesso and Finnabair's waxes.

The "Star circular frame" on my photo is simply sprayed.

That title, "Isn't she lovely" was the perfect one for my daughter's picture, don't you think?
That chippie is embossed with a gold embossing powder.

Below, you will see the "Dandelions" painted in white,
and one piece of the "Foliage set 1", sprayed with the same color as the Star circular frame.
There's another piece of that set under the title ;)

Finally, the other pieces named previously:
"Interlocking grid panel"
"Foliage set 1" but also
"Foliage set 6" which is  embossed with a teal powder.

Pretty in Pink - Day at the Beach
By Marie Claude Rodier
PLUS A PROCESS VIDEO TUTORIAL

Hi,

I'm happy to be on the blog today to show my latest creation using lots of 2Crafty chipboards.

You will find a process video at the end of this post.
I hope you will enjoy it.
"Day at the beach"

Summer has finally arrived in my part of the world and it's officially beach season!!!
Instead of the traditional blue/teal color palette used for this kind of layout,
I chose a monochromatic pink one.

I love how it turned out and I hope you do like it too.

Day at the beach title was first coated with white gesso and
then embossed with rose gold embossing powder.
To get constrasting white edges, I let my embossing gun heat up a little longer on the edges.

Pointed Doily Frame was also basecoated with gesso and
then embossed with pale pink embossing powder and tucked behind the photo.

Palm Leaves set and Foliage Set 1 were first basecoated.
Palm Leave set was embossed with pale mint green.
Foliage Set was embossed with with pearl powder then partially covered
with a light coat of white gesso and a few touches of pink Gelatos.

"Tranquil Moments"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

My first inspiration for this month of June.
Summer is approaching here in France so I chose to make a colorful page.

My inspiration is this chipboard, "Trudi's vine", so I chose also a very flowery paper.

2Crafty Chipboard Used....
- Word Tranquil Moments
- Trudi's Vine
- Foliage Set 1

A layer of white gesso on each chipboard.

 For the chipboard "Trudi's Vine"
I chose five colors of embossing powder that I worked one after the other.

- Pink and coral for flowers
- Green meadow, olive green and dark green for the leaves

When we heat the powder, it mixes a little and we get a great effect

 Here for the "Foliage" chipboards.

For the title I chose a Mango color paste.

I hope you enjoyed this page!

See you soon.

Love
by Marie Claude Rodier

Hello,

I am happy to be on the blog today to show you my newest layout
using 2Crafty Chipboards.
"Love"

I wanted to create a rustic chic masculine layout.
To do so, I went with a neutral color palette and used a lot of 2Crafty Chipboards
to embellish my project.

"Love - Fine script" title was painted with a vibrant gold acrylic paint.

"Frame Fine Circle with butterflies" was covered with copper wax
and then dry brushed with white gesso.
Small butterflies were covered with vintage gold wax to create contrast.

"Addy's Butterflies" and "Foliage Set 1" were baseboat with white gesso.
And partially painted with blue water soluble oil pastels.

The same treatment was used for the "Leafy Shrub Set 1".

Grateful - with Emma

Hello to you wonderful 2Crafty friends,
hope your all enjoying those Sunday vibes!
Today I have another layout to share with you all using some more awesome chippy.

Chipboard used....

Grateful word
Fern leaf set
Foliage set 1
Mini flourish Bits

My chipboard this time has a couple of different finishes.
The Fern leaves have had a rust effect applied to them in the colour tones to compliment the image and papers.

Once dried I rubbed a little wax to add a few 'shimmer' highlights.

For the swirls I applied the good 'ol technique of emboss powder. With delicate flourishes like these, I find emboss powder the best.

Emboss powder sticks well to even the finest pieces of the flourish.

I went heavy with the rust paste on the foliage pieces to really get that texture through.
Love the way the chipboard looks with this medium.

The title word has also got the paste finish on it but this time I dabbed acrylic paint over the top and rubbed a little more wax for highlights.

I love how you can mix and match all these elements and they just work, complimenting each other.
And Chipboard that allows all these heat treatments and wet mediums to be applied is brilliant!

This is what makes scrapbooking a fantastic craft!

I will see you all again soon, thanks for visiting today and I hope you have a great weekend.

Em xx
