"Altered Box" with Amy Voorthuis

 Well hello there crafty friends, 
I am very delighted you are her with us, for today I'd like to share a altered box that I created for my colleague who is leaving us to enjoy her well deserved pension. Although it's with a raw edge since she heard that her cancer is back since the beginning of march {throughout her bones this time} but that doesn't keep her from being a very positive lady and I really admire her for that and so much more. This box holds cards from her colleagues who worked with her a lot longer then me, since I started working there september 2023. But that doesn't mean I didn't make her a card,  I of course did and a nice box to hold them in, in her favorite color yellow. Enjoy this post.....

I painted the oversized flower stem set with some spray paint and a pencil in defferent colors. But fistly I cut them up and only used pieces of them. For the skeleton leaves I used the same technique. Undertneath the big green piece of paper there is a picture of "Riek" but I wasn't sure if she wanted me to post it online so I didn't. 

The words & phrases are threated with two layers of white gesso after that I added some white shiny embossing powder {three layers} then I added some stained wood wax on all of tehm some a little more then the other. The beeyoutiful set was only altered with white gesso and tucked in flower clusters.

Hi crafty's lovers...
This month I share with you a romantic layout made with some shiny effects.

I have coated chipboard with some gesso on my Corner swirly hearts set then, I have
then used ink to make an ombre turquoise to lilac. 

I used some purple foil on my 2 pieces of  Fancy Damask, this gives off a lovely shine. 

I also use some foil on my title ''shine'' from Fine Words set 2.

I used some flowers, shiny points, doilies and flair to bring everything together. 

I used a doily stencil with lilac and turquoise ink mist to coordinate with the rest of the layout,
you can see I've added to the top and the bottom of my background paper.

Addy's Butterflies

I treated my grid panel with three colors of embossing powder, blue, green and off white,
giving it a more rustic and textured feel.

I used two colors of distress oxide to colour my Addy's Butterflies to give more interesting effect.

I painted my title Amaze yourselft with earth tone to match with others elements on my layout.

For my background, I used a stencil with modeling past and I simply added some drops ink.

''Be Yourself''

Hello 2Crafty fans!

Mary here with you today and I have two layouts and two video tutorials to share with you.

 The first one is a layout in black, white and teal tones. For this one, I used 7dots papers
from the ''Homegrown'' collection, Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and
 powders and a Cuts2luv flair. All the flowers are Prima Marketing.

I based my page on the More Than Words April challenge.

Some close ups...

I created texture on my background by I applying modeling paste through a stencil.
When dried, I used ''Shabby Turbine Teal'' and ''Merci Beaucoup Mint'' Lindy's Stamp
 Gang sprays to color my page.

I heat embossed the ''Corner Annalise'' and the title chipboards with the ''Black Forest Black'' Lindy's powder. The chipboards from the ''Element Set 1'' were also embossed with the ''Desert Moon Turquoise'' powder.

To finish, I added some black micro beads and platinum glass glitter with gel medium.

And the second one was made with Prima Marketing papers from the''Rose Quartz'' collection,
Prima Marketing flowers, Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and powders and a flair from Cuts2luv.

I based my page on the Mixed Media & Art April challenge.

And a closer look at the details...

I gave texture on the background with modeling paste and a stencil.
 Then, I added some color with ''Cotton Candy Pink'' and ''Bells of Ireland Green'
' Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.

I heat embossed the pieces from the ''Moroccan Panel'' chipboard with ''Oakleaf Olive''
Lindy's powder. The title and the ''Squiggle Border'' were also embossed with the
''Black Forest Black'' powder.

When everything was glued down, I added made some splashes with white acrylic artists ink.

Hi, it's Beck Beattie here. Today I am sharing some fun projects featuring 2Crafty Chipboard of course!   I love how effective they can look in both altered and natural states.  
Today I'm going to share with you the use of both!      But before we start.... Please remember while you are here  to become a blog follower & leave a blog comment to

  "Be Yourself"

 I was playing along with the Kraft+ challenge for this month which is black and white
on kraft with inspiration images.  2Crafty are a sponsor this month so it is an extra
 awesome month to play along and hopefully win yourself some yummy chipboard!!

For my title I applied a coat of Indigoblu Cottage Paint in Pantry white.
 Given the highly pigmented paints I only needed to apply one coat.

I love the natural kraft colour of the chipboard and thought they worked well to break
 up the colours of the background, so I left both the diamond panel and star frame
pieces which I cut up and adhered in clumps, in their natural state.

For the Harlequin clumps I simply applied some black permanent ink with my
ink pad to colour them and adhere in clumps of three around the page.

"Amaze yourself Canvas"

For my canvas I layered some fun 2Crafty pieces for a striking effects onto a  layered mixed media canvas.    

I once again painted the Amaze Yourself chipboard title with

 Indigoblu Cottage paints in 'Pantry White'  

The background piece I applied a coat of black ink by rubbing over it.

For the key I first coloured it with a gold marker and then embossed it through my
die cut machine with a sweet embossing folder, love how it came!
