Togetherness my favourite time - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!

Laura here today to share my first April project!

2 Crafty products used:

Cartias swirl

12x12 Weathered Clock Face Frames

Togetherness my favourite time

Flourish 2

I trimmed the 12x12 weathered clock face frames so they ended at the side of the page then added texture paste and allowed to dry.  Once dry I painted them a dark brown, dried and dry brushed some white paint to accent the texture I applied earlier

I also applied the texture paste to the Cartia's Swirl and Flourish 2.  I then inked with uncharted marine distress ink and added white paint (which seems like blue because I used distress ink)

I wanted the title to stand out from the other images so I painted it white and layered it above a few die cut images.

"Making MEMORIES Everyday"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I find you with my second inspiration of this month of May.
A layout that is both very flashy but also very soft.

I had never used these photos of Mia taken right after she was born before,
I was waiting for the right colors so here she is.

"Making MEMORIES Everyday"

The chipboards used:

- "Making MEMORIES Everyday"
- Mini Doodles Frames Set
- Cartia's Swirl

After choosing the particleboard that seemed to me to be in harmony with my layout,
I applied a coat of white gesso.

I chose a plain page background, I really liked this pink.
To embellish the background of my layout I added rub-ons.
I layered tags, paper and cardboard underneath my photo to create depth.

I applied Lindy's Gang "OOm Pah Pah Pink" color embossing powder to the "Mini Doodles Frame" chipboard. I then pasted it directly on my photo, it is super beautiful and fits my photo very well.

For the "Cartia's Swirl" chipboard I proceeded in the same way, to highlight it I glued it over the embellishments but it doesn't hide anything and it shows very well.

For the title, I also chose "Golden Angel Wings" color embossing powder, because always the title is important to share the feelings of a layout.

And that's it for today, I love using these beautiful chipboards.
I will see you soon.

July Projects by Lisa Griffith

Hello 2 Crafty friends! So happy to be staying on the team through the end of the year :)
I have a few layouts to share with you this month.
But before I continue...
Please remember while you are here be sure you have
become a blog follower and leave a comment to
be eligible to go in out monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack.

'Anäis'

I saw this quote from the author Anäis Nin as part of these Graphic 45 papers,
and so I wanted to make a page about the sea and all its wonders.
2 Crafty Chipboard has a new piece called 'Fishing Net Bits' that fit my theme perfectly.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:
'Fishing Net Bits'
'Cartia's Swirl'
'Seashells'

To add texture to the starfish I coated it with a heavy uneven layer of thick white gesso,
when you heat it on high with your heat gun the gesso will bubble up, after that's dry,
I colored it with an orange Lindy's Starburst spray.

I used the same spray on the beautiful swirl to add some movement to my underwater scene.

'Cherish'

I used that same technique on my chippies for this layout too, except I added color by
painting them with some copper colored acrylic paint and then also using the heat gun,
as this makes the paint bubble up, and I love how it transforms the chipboards.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:
'Addy's Butterflies'
'Fine Word Set 1'
'Sakura Flowers'

Here you can see the "Cherish -title" from the new Fine Word Set #1
which is just painted with the white gesso.

I have also tucked in some Sakura flowers too.

Lastly I wanted to share a layout I created for the 'More than Words' June challenge.
'Imagine'

Here I kept my chippies simple with a coat of white acrylic paint to fit my shabby chic look.

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:
'Lacey Signpost'
'Corner Thick Vine'

See you soon,

January Inspiration By Marianne Johansson

"Enjoy Today"

Hi and happy New Year to you all!

Before we start...
Please remember to become a blog follower & leave a blog comment to
be eligible to go in our monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack.

My first post this year is with two layouts, still using photos from our trip to London.
Took a lot of photos so there is plenty to play with.
Here is our two girls with lots of bags after a long day with shopping.
(don't know who were the most exhausted, they or us LOL)

Found the perfect title for this one.
In fact, 2Crafty Chipboards has titles for every occasion so it's not hard to find something suitable.

Loved this large chippie and placed it partly under the photo in layers.

These small words from the different sets are awesome as "embellishments".

My chippies this time are coloured with an ink pad and some splashes
 with gesso and white watercolor.

Stamps and stencils on the background (as usual from me) making a fun background.

2Crafty chipboards used:
Art Deco Border
Word circle set2
Cartia's swirl
Enjoy Today mini title

"Fun Times"

On this layout I have used a photo from one of the many underground escalators.
 Wow the were steep sometimes.

My chippies this time is colored with black ink pad, to match the background paper

The "bricks" are just awesome and so easy to use when you cut them in pieces

I really love the sheets with words and I use them a lot

Here I also used an arrow from the arrow set.

Brick panel in layers - really cool!

Background is filled with mist and stencils to give some extra dimension

2Crafty chipbaords used:
Fun times title
Brick panel
assorted arrows
word disc travel

Hope you liked my layouts and got some inspiration to play with the gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard.
