Tammy's final post......

Hi Creative Souls....
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and get some extra family time in over the next few days.

It is with a heavy heart that I share my final project for 2Crafty Chipboard.
Life has taken over a little, and left less time for my creative pursuits, so it's time to say goodbye.....

I've loved sharing with you over the last couple of years and I absolutely have had so much fun with the chipboard.  I just love that it's a blank canvas, ready for me to add colour and texture.

So before I get too weepy, here's my final project.....

A heartfelt one about my daughter growing up.
She's about to take that huge step into the world and looking back it feels as though it was just yesterday that I held her in my arms and my heart burst!
It really does happen in a blink of the eye.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

"NEW 12 inch Floral Heart Frame"
"Botanical Border"
"Beyond Words Title"

I just adore that 12" Heart Frame, and knew it was perfect for this page.
I began by coating it in white gesso, and then I went in with my watercolours.
I individually covered the flowers and leaves.
It took time, but I just love the result.
I adore the washed look of the watercolour.
Colourful and imperfect.
(a bit like me)

Once I had finished, I added some doodling with a black pen.
It gives it a whimsical feel that goes so well with the watercolour.

I then trimmed some of the flowers, leaves and stems from the "Botanical Border".
I applied white gesso, and then added watercolour.
I went for a two-tone effect, and this pop of yellow just lifted the whole layout.
I then added these to my clusters.

For my "Beyond Words title", I laid it on top once everything else was in place.
I coated in white paint and then added Dimensional Magic to give it a resin/gloss like appearance.
This just helped it to stand out from the rest of the layout.

There we have it, so arty and colourful...

As a final goodbye, I thought I'd leave you with a few of my favourite layouts.....

I'll keep popping in to be inspired by the very talented Design Team.
They never fail to knock my socks off!

Much creative love
xx

'Pure Joy'
by Tammy Klingner

Hello creative souls!

Tammy here today, and as it's now officially December, it's time to share my first festive layout.

A soft layout that tells a story about the pure joy of giving.

Last year on Christmas Day we gave up a few hours of our time to prepare a feast, wrap gifts and decorate a hall for those in our area who are less fortunate than us and who were spending Christmas alone.
All of the gifts and food were donated, and it was such a lovely way to start our day, and definitely a feeling that not only stayed with us throughout the day, but throughout the year.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
"Pure Joy" title
"ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars"
"Mini Houses"
"Winter Twig Branches"
NEW "Mixed Fine Border Set"

I used the "Mini Houses" to go with the theme of 'Community' and 'it takes a village'.
I covered them with white gesso and then added some watercolour paints in grey, pink and aqua, to go with my colour pallette.
I then added some outlines with a pen for a cute whimsical feel.

I added in all different types of trees, and the "Winter Twig Branches" fitted in perfectly.
I painted these white and then added some fine clear glitter......I wasn't perfect with this, I wanted the glitter to be a bit random - a bit like sparkly lights in the trees.

Along the bottom of my cluster I added one of the borders from the
 NEW "Mixed Fine Border Set".
I love the delicateness of this and the leaf theme just worked perfectly.
I simply added a few coats of white gesso.

For my title, I painted the "Pure Joy" in a few coats of white gesso, and then added clear fine glitter.
This again gives that 'light' feel, and also reminds me of snow.

Finally, I painted a few of the "Mini Stars" in white gesso, and added some watercolour, and sprinkled these through the layout.

That's it from me today.....
I love that I can use chipboard to help tell my story.
I think there's a 2Crafty Chipboard for everything!

I hope this layout reminds you of the real meaning of Christmas....giving - and not just presents but yourself.

"World Traveller" PROCESS VIDEO by Tammy Klingner

Hi there creatives!

Tam here today to share my latest design...

"World Traveller"

A layout celebrating my gorgeous girl before she jumped on a plane to fly a million miles away for a month on her recent Science Scholarship Adventure!!
An amazing experience and moment in her life that I had to capture.

I've used watercolours and gone back to my brighter style.

I created a PROCESS VIDEO of this one, so you can watch it come together.
I hope you enjoy it...

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

NEW "Charlotte's Flowers"
"World Traveller Title"
"Heidi's Vines"

As you can see in the video, I first coated all the chipboard pieces in white gesso.

To the "Heidi's Vines" I added watercolours.
I used a mix of greens for the foliage, and red and pink for the berries.
Once dry, I added white pen marks.
I find this gives a more realistic, and less flat feel.

To the NEW "Charlottes Flowers", I added a blend of watercolours for a variegated look.
I then tucked these in amongst the clusters.
These new flowers are really fine and detailed. I love them and can see they will be making quite a few appearances in my creations.

As I'd used a lot of different colours, I decided to coat my "World Traveller title" in white acrylic paint as this would go with the fresh feel the layout has.

There you have it!
I really love using watercolours on my chippy as it gives it an arty, washy feel.

I'll see you again next month!

'Tranquil Moments'
with Lisa Amiet

Hello 2Crafty fans!
It's Lisa here on the blog today to share some inspiration with you.
I have created a layout,
using some of the gorgeous chipboard designs available.

'Tranquil Moments'

2Crafty Products used:

For this layout I have used watercolours on my base page,
in colours to match my photo.

I have used some of the 'Fluer de Lis ATC',
which gives you two sizes to use.

I have finished them in a matt black,
and scattered a few across my page.

I love the contrast of the black chipboard with these colours.

I have also used one of the 'Mixed Fine Border Set',
that I have also finished in matt black.

I fell for the simplicity and beauty of this border.
Perfect for my page.

To finish I have used the 'Tranquil Moments' title.
That's exactly what this moment I took the photo was.

This has also been finished in matt black.

I'm really happy with how this layout turned out.
Not exactly how I first pictured it, but I am loving the final result.

I hope that you like what I have created.

Until next time!

Lisa
