'With Brave Wings She Flies' Journal Cover
with Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share some 2Crafty inspiration with you.

For this post, I have decorated a journal / album cover with some
of the gorgeous 2Crafty designs that perfectly suited my papers.

This is the front cover of the journal.

This is the back cover.

2Crafty products used:

I have used a set of the 'Angel Wings' for my fairy,
which I have embossed in a gold glitter.

I have also used one of the 'Field Mushrooms' clusters in the corner,
that I have coloured with watercolour paints,
and finished with some glitter gold embossing to the dots.

On the back cover,
I have used two of the small hinges from the 'Hinges Pack',
that I have finished with watercolour paints,
and a slight gold embossing powder to parts of the hinge.

I then used the 'Kara's Oval Frame',
again finished in gold glitter embossing powder,
to frame the rose element from my papers.

Lastly I have used one of the 'Clock Face Discs',
finished with glitter gold embossing powder, tucked into my layers.

I am really happy with how this cover turned out,
now I just need to fill it with some splashes of colour.

Until next time!

'Once upon a Dream' by Emma Zappone

Hello 😀
Emma with you today. And today's share is an off the page project. A 5x7 box canvas.

It's little and pretty, and uses beautiful chipboard pieces.

Decorative Dangling Bits
Hinges Pack
Clock Face Discs
Fancy Clock Hand Set 2

All the chippy have simple finishes to them this time. I used some of the new emboss glazes on them and they worked an absolute treat.

I must admit that I chose chipboard that are my all time fave pieces. I'm always drawn to the clocks and the hinges. I love how these look amongst the crackle paste and rice papers.

Sometimes it's the simple finishes that can really draw the eye.

The gorgeous Decorative Dangling bits really don't need much they are so delicate and pretty, a shiny finish makes them sing.

I do hope this project has inspired you today.

I will catch you again later in the month.
Until then, stay Crafty.

Em xx

"Today was Just Adorable " by Amy Voorthuis

Hi there lovely 2Crafty fans,
It's a lovely day to visit the blog, for today I have another layout to share with you. Lately I really love to use a little mixed media on my layouts like combining the very romantic stuff with a darker twist to it. This time I made all the beautiful chipboard pieces black which I later on painted to my likes. For this layout I used a picture of both our kids {Kevin & Abbey} Kevin was reading a book and I thought it was so sweet that I took a picture.

Today was Just Adorable:

2Crafty Chipboards used:
Elegant Flourishes
Cassie's Flourishes
Word Circles Set 1
Corner Twisted Vines
Hinges Pack
Filigree Arrows
Just Adorable
Clock Face Frames
Mini Title Stick Set 3
Mini Title Stick Set 1

All the pretty chipboard are treated with a layer of black gesso. Then I used several waxes and a dabber brush to make it look like real metal. In the end I added some color with acrylic paints to match my layout

For my layout I have used some Maja Design papers and a new mould to frame my sweet picture with. For the background I have used a stencil and some sprays.

Much love and happy crafting...

#adore
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I am lucky to meet you for a third layout for this month of October.

I made an arrangement very different from my habits
but sometimes you have to get out of your comfort zone.

I chose this photo of my grandson Leo for his little face but also
for the cloudy background.

The 2CraftyChipboard used:

- Hashtag Word Set 1
- Numbers Panels
- Steampunk Strips
- Squiggly Strips Set 1
- Hinges Pack

This time I put black gesso on each chipboard!

Then I applied waxes in different colors to get the shade I liked.

I usedI used "Bronze Age" "Lucky Emerald" and "Turquoise Satin".

I love these "Steampunk Strips" and "Squiggly Strips" particle boards
they have a lot of character.

I have placed the "Numbers Panels" chipboard prominently.

For more relief on the agglomerates I added a design with a stamp and embossing powder.

I chose this title with the hashtag it's original. Perfect for my layout.
To support the title I added a chipboard from the "Hinges Pack".

Although, different from my habits,
I hope this layout has given you some inspiration.

Thank you for your visit!

XOXO by Emma Zappone with Bonus VIDEO

 Hello everyone!

Emma with you today and today I'm sharing a layout that has a relaxed spring vibe to it.
This page features an upcycled paper that was wrapped around a bunch of flowers I purchased recently. Here is my project that will hopefully inspire you a little, plus a video to share how this all came about.

And here are the chipboards featured in this page:

Crazy Stitched Panel
Lattice-leaf set
Steampunk Gears medium
Hinges pack

Firstly I tore the flower wrapping paper in a strip to use in the middle of my white cardstock. This is where the base of my inspo came from. Then I stencilled in a few spots and painted some white Gesso with my finger to blend the paper into the background cardstock.

Lets talk about the treatment of the chipboard. The Stitched panel once trimmed down for me to use, started with a coat of acrylic paint in a Prussian blue. Next I dotted it with some emboss ink and using a Turquoise powder  and embossed this lovely piece of chippy.

The Lattice leaf I kept simple. I applied the same blue I used on the panel and then with a powder blue acyclic, blended the colours together to create a more grey blue colour which was a great compliment to the image I used.

For the Gears, these were painted with an acrylic brown and then 2 waxes were applied to give them the richness in colour and again match in with the image. And finally the Hinges, these were again  painted in the Prussian blue. Then with a napkin and some gel medium, I altered the hinges. I love this effect and love the vintage feel that it offers. I also rubbed a little wax over them once dry.

This page has plenty of layers and embellishments to compliment the chipboard and tie all the elements together. You can see how all this comes together here in my video. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for joining me today. I will see you all again very soon.

#whatever
by Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty friends!

Two weeks ago my son got back home minutes after leaving for a bicycle ride that was supposed to last a few hours. He was visibly in pain, with his hands all scratched up, but he didn't want to show it so he just took an ice pack and applied it to his arm. Well, an hour later, his arm was swelling up and there was no hiding anymore! We went to the hospital and found out he had partially broke some bones in his left arm.

Luckily for him, he only has to wear a splint and not a full cast. So with his great teen attitude, he was all like "didn't even hurt; I just need to wear this cool looking glove for a month!"

"#whatever"

On the "Grid Panel", I applied one coat of black gesso then sprinkled some waterpaint pigments that I then activated by spraying water. For the first chipboard from "Hinges Pack" (the one on top), I applied two coats of brown alcohol ink and rubbed some black ink on top. For the second chipboard from the "Hinges Pack" (behind the other one), I used aged wine embossing enamel.

On the "Element Set 1", I applied two coats of black embossing ink and some gold wax on top of it.

For the title, "#whatever", I used two coats of charcoal rustic paint and rubbed some gold wax on top.

I used the following 2Crafty chipboards in this layout:

Grid panel [m00723]
Hinges pack [m00857]
Element Set 1 [pa0036]
#whatever [w00449]

That's all for me today!
I'll be back in 2 weeks with a new layout to share with you guys.
I hope this one gave you some inspiration for your own creations.
See you soon!

'Girly Grunge'
With Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here on the blog today to share a layout with you.

2Crafty Chipboard Products used:

For this layout, I have used lots of the 'Moroccan Bits',
that I have left raw and cut into pieces to use in and around my layers.

I have also used one of the hinges from the 'Hinges Pack',
that I have first painted a nice coat of gesso and then used a watercolour effect on.
I quite like how it turned out.

I have also used one of the 'Clock Face Discs',
that I have given the same finish as the hinge.

I hope that you like what I have created this time around!
I hope you all have a wonderful christmas!

Until next time!

Lisa
