"this BOY"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I'm sharing with you my second inspiration for this June.
With the birth of our third grandson, I'm receiving so many new photos, and everything makes me want to scrapbook them. With this magnificent collection of paper, it's so easy.

"this BOY"

The chipboard used:

After selecting the chipboards, I protected them with a coat of white gesso.
Each chipboard was embellished in the same way.
I used "Distress Oxide" inks, in the shades "Dried Marigold" and "Stormy Sky."

I chose this beautiful "dotty-star-frames" to showcase my photograph.
I placed it in the background and interspersed the colors using both inks.
Amidst the paper embellishments, I find it simply sublime.

For the "circle-tag-set-1" chipboard, I finish by spraying it with water, then immediately dry it with a sheet of paper towel to achieve a muted effect.

I love using stars for a baby design.
This pack offers a lovely selection of stars: solid, hollow, small, and large.
Here I've completed it with this pretty embellishment from the collection.

I'm delighted with the transformation achieved on the chipboards. The colors are truly perfect.
I hope you enjoy the result.

If your retailer does not have some chipboards, you can go directly to the site to purchase.

See you soon!

School Adventures - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!

Laura here today to share a school layout I created of our oldest way back in Junior Kindergarten!

I really enjoy scrapbooking older photos and reliving the memories (he is now 23 years old)

Mini Sampler

6" Christmas Star Frame

Mini Number Panel

Circle Tag Set

I wanted to coordinate all the colours of my chipboard with the bright and fun colours of the paper so I heat embossed each piece.  I chose the red for the mini sampler

For the 'Adore' Circle tag I inked then used a white jelly roll pen to highlight the word!

I know the title says 'Christmas Star Frame' but it fits perfectly for our little school star too!

I really like that you get 6 of the mini number panels!  Perfect to use in multiple areas of my page!

'Adore' layout
created by Rachael Funnell

Hello & a warm welcome to the 2 Crafty blog.
Rach with you today, sharing my newest layout
created with some fabulous 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces..

2 Crafty Chipboard used:
Fine word set - Months
Charlotte flourish
2018
Circle tags set 1

Let's start with the gorgeous large Charlotte flourish which I
wanted to showcase all of its beauty so I decided to cut this flourish into two pieces,
and inked with this lovely green....

Next, I inked this sweet Adore tag from Circle Tags Set 1
then with some foam tape, I adhered onto part of the flourish.
I think it looks great with all the fussy cutting sitting underneath..

Lastly, I have added the month & year to my layout..
The 2018 I simply inked it with a lovely pale green
which I thought looked great...

However, with the month September, I inked with a burgandy a
but wasn't really loving it so I decided to apply a thick coat of gesso over it instead
which I think looked so much better,

I really love how this has turned out!
I hope you liked it too & have been inspired you in some way

"forever"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Good morning all!

I am happy to meet you again to present my second inspiration for this month of March.

Through the disasters of our world it is comforting to be able to continue to create while forgetting all that for a few moments.

I made a rather bright layout with a photo of Mia taken last summer.

"forever"

The 2Crafty Chipboards used:

- Mini Word Set 2
- Frame Loopy Love Hearts
- Lattice-Hearts
- Lacy Border Set
- Fine Floral Corner
- Circle Tags Set 1

To start I apply a layer of white gesso on each chipboard.

I chose two colors of embossing powder from Lindy's Gang to embellish them "Purely White"
and a turquoise blue "Madonna Robe Blue Gold".

I used a very bright white to bring a lot of contrast to my layout.
I cut out a "Fine Floral Corner" chipboard so I could arrange it my way. I love the finesse of this chipboard.

I use the frame in the background of my layout that I previously modified in turquoise blue like the heart, it frames and embellishes my photo well.
I used two words, the "Circle Tags" chipboard was just rubbed with a bit of "bronze" wax.

That's it, I'm done, thank you for your visit and I hope you find the time to create.

See you tomorrow for other inspirations with 2Crafty!

Adore
By Marie Claude Rodier

Hello lovelies,

It’s time for me to share with you my last project as part of 2Crafty DT. I had the best three years with this fabulous team. It was a pleasure and an honor to create with the best chipboards ever! I am thankful for Vanessa and Di for having me on the team and I am thankful for 2Crafty community. You are all wonderful!

Frames and Circle Tag are among my favorite 2Crafty products because they are so versatile and goes with any project. I used them on most of my layouts….I had to use them on my last dt project too!

Adore

Adore was painted with Saphir blue acrylic paint. Finnabair Unicorn paste was added on top of it for a sparkling effect.

Treasure from Circle Tag Set 1 was dry brushed with white gesso and shadowed with Saphir acrylic paint.

6’’ Circle Dot Frame was first unevenly covered with white gesso. Then shadowed with Raspberry acrylic paint. Finally, a few spots of Unicorn paste were added sparsely.

The same embellishing techniques were used for Chicken Barbed Wire Small panel.

Memories of you
By Marie Claude Rodier

Hi all,

I do love to go for non traditional color themes on a regular basis and this apple picking
layout is no exception. Instead of vibrant fall colors, I chose soft blue, green and white.

Memories of you

Memories of you was embossed with Wow Sparkling powder. I love this product so much.
It’s off-white color is beautiful.

Circle Tag Set 1 was dry brushed with gesso and tainted with gold green watercolor.

Frame Madeline’s Flourish was painted with Finnabair’s Northern Lights Blue Texture
Fantasy Paste, cut in two and placed either side of paper clustering.

Frame Juliet’s was basecoated with gesso and embossed with Lindy’s gold green powder.
It was cut in two and placed either sides of the picture.

Love always
By Marie Claude Rodier PLUS VIDEO TUTORIAL

 Hi everyone,

It’s my turn this month to show you my creation process through a video tutorial.
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I had fun creating if for you.

Love always

Love from Circle Tag Set 1 was dry brushed with heavy white gesso. I love this washed
effect so much. It’s one of my favorite technique. Simple and chic.

Always from Fine Word Set 1 was basecoated with gesso and covered with two waxes: peacock
and mint sparkle. The perfect mix to get a light teal tone that fits perfecly my color scheme.

Moroccan Panel was first cut into pieces. The pieces were covered with a light coat of
white wax that blends wih the blue one that was left on my brush. Once dry, a light dry brush
coat of white gesso was used as finishing touches.

Love you millions forever
By Marie Claude Rodier

 Hi lovelies,

I’m here today to show you my latest layout filled with lots of beautiful 2Crafty chipboards. This time, my starting point was Angie’s vines. I integrated them either side of my main clustering in order to creating an interesting flow with my background papers.

Love you millions forever

The "Love you millions" stick from 6x4 Phrase Sticks Set 4 and the "Forever" from Circle Tag Set 1 were dry brushed with white gesso and placed next to each other to create a unique composition.

Angie’s vines were painted with white acrylic and shadowed with pink and dark brown metallic paints.

Lattice leaves were simply dry brushed with gesso and placed on either side of the flower clusters.      Frame Elouise’s was covered with white acrylic paint and shadowed with dark tones of pink metallic paints.
