Christmas Time Cards by Tania Ridgwell

Hello there!
Tania popping in today to share the first of my DT projects for December.
I have created a set of Christmas Cards.

"Christmas Time Cards"

2 Crafty Products Used:

*Mini Reindeers
*St. Nicks Snowflakes
*Swirly Holly Set
*Merry Christmas Script Card Pack

I created each of my cards bases using the beautiful Paper Rose Studio Christmas Time Basics Paper Collection. I painted the St Nicks Snowflakes with two coats of gesso.  The Mini Reindeers and the Swirly Holly Chippies have been painted with Mont Morte Gold Paint.
To construct each of the cards I embellished them with flowers and fussy cut flower elements, then added my chipboard pieces to each card tucking them into and under the paper layers and fussy cut elements on the cards.  To finish each card I added a raw Merry Christmas title to each card.

See each of the cards below.

Thats' all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all with my Christmas Time Cards.  Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.

'Merry Christmas' CSI Case 267
with Kripa Koushik

Hi friends,

This month 2crafty chipboard is sponsoring the challenge at CSI - Case 267 and this is my take on it.For evidence, I used a background paper with grids, tags in the layers behind the photograph, stars, reindeer, string and lots of Christmas elements. For the testimony Ive documented something about Christmas and put my journaling on a tag.

I started by applying a layer of gesso on all the 2crafty chipboard pieces.

Two of the pieces - mini reindeer and star circular frame are covered
with metallic gold paint from Colourarte.

The Mini Bauble Tree was painted with metallic Teal paint.

This is my favourite part of the layout. I love how beautiful these two pieces
of chipboard look layered over each other. To colour the St. Nicks Snowflake,
I applied stamp pads in shades of green directly on the gessoed piece.
Once heat set, dab a little white gesso to get a distressed look.

Thank you for visiting us today.
Have a great week ahead.
Kripa

Christmas Cards with Kripa Koushik

Hello friends,

My project today is a pair of Christmas cards using a few of the beautiful Christmas
themed 2crafty chipboard pieces.

As always, I started by applying a coat white gesso on all the chipboard pieces. The Xmas Deer Head and St. Nick Snowflakes were coloured using stamp pads. Once the ink dried, the Xmas deer head was stamped over with a script stamp & gold acrylic paint.

For this  card, the Mini Reindeer and St.Nicks Snowflakes were coloured with stamp pads. The Mini Bauble Tree was painted with gold acrylic paint. I cut the snowflake in two and tucked them under the pattern papers.

Thank you for visiting us today.

December Projects by Sandra Bernard

'' Christmas Day ''

Love that time!! Just before Christmas, the lights on, the decorations all around, just love it...

2craftychipboards used:

Corner Sweet Holly

Christmas Day Title

Ariel's Spray

I tried to create a layout with a magic side. I put a lot of layers to get dimension.

I treated the Corner Sweet Holly and Arial's spray in the same way,
in just leaving it raw & adding gesso in just in some areas.

For the title Christmas day, I also put gesso on it in creating some textures.
I added gold paint in randomly to get more highlights.

''Merry Christmas Cards''

I love making cards thiis time of the year.

 2craftychipboard used...:

Holly Leaves

Merry Christmas Script Card Pack

Pointed Ornament Set

Swirly Star Christmas Tree

Majestic Reindeer Set

I really enjoy making these cards. I just played with embossing powders to color all of them.

I used an embossing glue pen to get some different colors areas on the swirly star Christmas tree.
I used green for the tree, red for the small stars on it and gold for the star on the top.

The title Merry Christmas is embossed with red powder on this card and the
 Majestic Reindeer Set in gold.

For the other card, the title was embossed with gold and red powders to make an ombre effect.

Love to play with pointed ornement set.
I embossed in red the bases and make the shapes in gold to create deeper effect.

I also embossed Holly leaves in green with some gold on the edges.

Hope you like my projects and that I have given you some new ideas to create...

That was my last post for 2crafty chipboards, I would like to thanks Vanessa and Di
for all their support... I loved creating for you, and the 2Crafty fans... see you around soon...

October Inspiration + VIDEO Tutorial with Kripa

Hello friends,

Kripa here, with my two projects for October.
Further down the post, I have a video tutorial as well.

Christmas Cards
All 3 cards have been made in a similar way.
First, some texture paste through a stencil on watercolour paper.
Next some Twinkling H2Os (watercolours) & finally 2craftychipboard pieces.

I have not coated any of the pieces with gesso. Ive directly applied paints on the chipboard using a make-up sponge. For the card below, the title from the Merry Christmas Script Card Pack has been glued on a vellum piece.
This card is my favourite because of the very Majestic Reindeer chipboard.

Today is Picture Perfect - Canvas
The idea for this canvas was inspired by the challenge prompt at More Than Words . The word inspiration Delicate immediately made me think of babies, flowers, lace, tissue paper. I also picked intricate, lace like 2crafty chipboard pieces - Dreamcatcher, Circle lace panel & Sequin negative bits.

All the chipboard pieces have been coated with white gesso a few times. On the Dreamcatcher chipboard above, Ive decoupaged roses from an IKEA serviette and then dabbed white gesso to soften it followed by the lightest coat of teal paint.

... and the video of how this canvas came together.
I hope you enjoy.
