April Layouts Created by Rachael Funnell

'HELLO Beautiful'

Hello 2 Crafty fans!
Rach with you today sharing 2 layouts created for April....

Inspired by the colour combo from the photo of my daughter to create 'HELLO Beautiful' layout..
2 Crafty Chipboard used..

2016,
Indian Feathers,
Fanciful Butterflies,
Circle heart frames,
HELLO Beautiful title,
Flower Petals.

With the Flower Petals I decided to emboss a few with a purple & blue, then a couple with gesso.

HELLO Beautiful title has a couple of coats of gesso......

With the 2016 & Fanciful Butterflies I have inked only the edges with a
Brown Distress ink, just to make the raw chipboard POP a little more.....

While the Circle Heart frame I have rubbed over ever so lightly with a brown distress ink...

I have two of the Indian Feathers peeking out, one either side...
I added a coat of gesso to them and while still wet added a little bit of glitter...
Once gesso dried added another very light coat of gesso, just to tone down the
glitter colour & finished off inking the feathers with purple ink!!

For my 2nd layout....
Once again colour combo inspired by the photo...
This time of my son! Absolutely LOVE this photo of him!

October Projects + A VIDEO
By Jessika Lundman

"Summertime"

Jessika here with two new projects with 2crafty chipboards!

So first I made this summer layout and I realized about half way through that I was making
a summer themed layout when there was frost outside. :) But I have all these amazing
summer photos I want to scrap and a lot of beautiful summer chipboards so even thought
we are heading for winter here in Sweden you will probably see a lot of summer
 stuff from me.

I wanted to make something colorful and playful and this time I colored all my chipboards
with acrylic paints to match the photo. I tried to place everything in a sort of scattered way.

I used puzzle pieces because I think they are somewhat childish and playful
and match my youngest son perfectly :)

The circles, the heart and the dotted line beneath 2016 are all from the
same chipboard piece that I cut up to use in different ways.

2016's
Beaded hanging hearts
Puzzle pieces

"Beauty and Wonder"

Here are two metallic looking tags I made for my second project
and these even have a process video :)

I wanted to make something darker and metallic for the background so
that the white painted chipboards could really pop!
I LOVED how they came out.
I have a lot of detail photos so be sure to check out the video at the end.

Above and below you will see close ups of the chipboard pieces.

I tried to place the hearts so that they sort of bubbled out of the floral pieces.

These Mini Words are great for cards/tags and smaller titles.

July Layouts By Debbi Tehrani

"Sweet Smile"

I made this page for the More Than Words challenge, which asked us to use the
word "smile" as inspiration as well as a sketch. This adorable photo features my best
friend's daughter and her little girl, and they sure do have some sweet smiles!

The word "smile" came from the "Summertime" set, which has lots of different words. I colored it with two different teal stamp inks to get the right color to match the leaves in my floral paper and then coated it with clear embossing power to give it a glossy look. I couldn't resist using this cute little guy from the "Hedgehogs" pack on my page. I couldn't decide on a color for the hedgehog,
so I decided to leave him raw, but I added clear embossing powder to give him extra interest. The arrow, gessoed white, came from the "Assorted Arrows" sheet. I topped it with a wee heart from "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars" and inked it pink.

I coated the "Bubble Clumps" with gesso and then painted it with Twinkling H2O's in the
Icicle color, which has flecks of glitter in it. I added patterned paper onto my frame form the "Polaroid Assortment Frames" to give it a woodgrain look. I popped a couple of raw, clear embossed hearts from the "ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars" to match my hedgehog onto the frame.

I just love 2Crafty's Circle Words, and I used the word "sweet" from "Word Circles Set 1" as part
of my title. I used the Icicle Twinkling H2O's on the circle part and the same ink and clear embossing powder I used for the "Smile." I added a heart from "ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars."

"You Are Simply the Best"

A girl at my school won a safety patrol award and her teacher asked me to make
 a scrapbook page for her.

The trophy came from the "Motocross" 6 x 6 set and was perfect for holding part of my title
(the word "you" came from "Card Word Set 2") and also conveying what the layout was about.
I used gold Zing embossing powder to give it sparkle and shine. I embossed the
"Simply the Best" title with two different colors.

The "Chevron Bits" were embossed with the same Sapphire PEARLustre embossing powder
I used on the title. I used the same gold Zing embossing powder on the "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars" as I did on the title. I found a larger star from the "Stars" set to tuck into the "Medium Filmstrip." The "Inspire" word came from the "ATC Words 1" set. I painted a "Circle Revolution" white to frame the photo the main photo.

Once you take the frames out of the sheet of "Polaroid Assortment Frames," you will have leftover chipboard that, when cut, form more frames. I used that to frame the above photo, I painted that white. There's a bag behind this cluster that holds more photos from the event. Finally, I used a date from the "2016's."
