'Be a Wildflower' by Emma Zappone

Hi everyone,
Em with you today, sharing an '8x10' canvas.
I have been playing rather grungy of late, so for this one I thought I would pretty things up a little.

Using some stunning papers and colours along with the fab chippy this project evolved.

Here are the chipboard elements used....

4" Mandala
Skeleton Leaves
Fine Floral Photo Adornment
Frame Round Ornate

I painted all but the leaves with different Color Glow powders.
The Color Glows leave such a stunning shine on the chipboard.

I cut the frame in half and tiered them amongst the layers.

Placing the Mandala behind the winged beauty, added depth and a halo like feel. I added white Gesso as a finishing touch to add detail and interest.

The leaves were left raw, with only the White Gesso giving them some dimension and character. These I also bent a little to give lift and curve. Hard to see in the photo sadly.

The delicacy of the photo adornment softened the overall concept.
Adding that touch of whimsy and femineity.

I do hope my page inspires you to get crafty.

Till next time, Em xx

'Imagination' with Emma Zappone

Hello 2Crafty friends.
Em with you today, sharing a 5x7 canvas panel.

Here are the pieces used on this project.

Round Ornate Frames
Ginny's Flourish Set
Magnolia Stems

Beautiful elements used within the background on this project, to add more depth to the layers.

The delicate flourish has a simple shimmer finish on it, but adds a level of softness to the canvas and paper elements.

I just adore these ornate frames, and that they add a unique shape that the eye just loves to explore.
Again a simple finish with a colour powder finish.

The magnolia flowers have been cut up into individual flowers and the stems removed to create a beautiful cluster under the butterfly wing. I coated these with Distress Oxides, so that the design lines were still visible.

I really love the finished look and feel of this canvas.

I hope it inspires you to get creative.

Till next time, stay Crafty.
Em xx

Memories
with Lisa Amiet

 Hello all!
It's Lisa on the blog today to share some Memories with you.
I have created this layout featuring my daughter.

2Crafty Products used:

I have started with a patterned paper background,
one with a frame.

I have then layered some of my elements with one of the 'Tangled Lamp Posts',
that I finished in a weathered white embossing powder.

I have also used one of the 'Frame Round Ornate' and some of the 'Buttons',
which I have again finished in weathered white for a vintage feel.

To finish I have used the word 'Memories' as my title. This is my favourite font of all!
I have painted it in a pale peach to match my layout.

I really like the vintage floral vibe of this layout.
I hope you like it too and are inspired to create today.

Until next time!

Lisa

Live Your Adventure
By Marie Claude Rodier

Hi everyone,

I am here today to show you a new layout full of amazing 2Crafty goodies.

I used a warm non traditional color palette for this one. I am really happy how it turned out.

“Live Your Adventure”

Frame Round Ornate was basecoated with a light coat of white gesso.
Vanilla Sparks embossing powder was applied on top.

Vintage Hot Air Balloons were also basecoated.
The biggest one was embossed with the same Vanilla Sparks powder.
The smallest ones were embossed with a light mint powder.

Live your adventure was embossed with a cream powder.

Lattice leaves were covered with bronze wax and highlighted with dry brushed gesso.

“Treasure The Little Things”
By Marie Claude Rodier

Hi 2Crafty fans!
I’m here today to show you an extra layout I made this month using some of my
 favorite 2Crafty chipboards.

When I chose my chiboards for a new layout, I always start by looking for a frame. I love them so much! They are a great focal point and add details to a picture. Nowadays, I always add a mini stick title somewhere. It’s an easy way to express a sentiment or to complement a title.

Treasure

I used Bronze wax to cover Frame Round Ornate and then randomly added white gesso
on top of it, and finally I added a few touches of vintage gold wax.

I painted my title, Treasure the little things, with burgundy watercolor and highlighted
it with a few brushes of white gesso.

Life is good, from Mini Title Stick Set 1, was partially covered with a few touches of white gesso.

I used the same bronze wax/white gesso for Film Strips Small but also added a
few touches of mint wax to recreate a vintage patina effect.

Time to Celebrate cards
with Lisa Amiet

Hello 2Crafty fans!
It's Lisa back on the blog today.

I have been busy creating and have come up with
a trio of cards to inspire you this month.

2Crafty Products used:

Foliage Set 6 (unit of 3) Card Word Circles - Happy Birthday (unit of 3) Flourish Adornment Set 7 (unit of 3)

Card Word Set 1 (unit of 3)  Grid Bits (units of 3)
Lattice Leaves (unit of 3)   Frame Round Ornate (unit of 3)

For my first card I have used a variety of chipboard pieces,
which I have mostly left raw.
I have used one of the 'Card Word Circles - Happy Birthday',
which has been slightly tucked into my layers.

I have used one of the flourish leaves from the 'Foliage Set 6',
along with one of the 'Lattice Leaves' which I have finished in an off white.

For my second card, I have used some of the 'Grid Bits',
which have also been finished in off white.

For my flourish, I have used one of the 'Flourish Adornment Set 7',
tucked in next to my flower.

For my title, I have used words from the 'Card Word Set 1',
that I have adhered to the top and bottom of my card.

For my final card, I have again used one of the
'Foliage Set 6' tucked in next to my flowers.

I have used one of the 'Frame Ornate Round',
to frame my butterfly.

For the title, I have again used one of the sentiments
from the 'Card Word Set 1'.

I hope that you like what I have created!
I will be back soon with some more 2Crafty goodness to share with you!

Until then

Lisa
