Boys Will Be Boys - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!
I am back to share another fun masculine layout I created of our youngest!

2Crafty products used:

Steampunk Gears Small
Steampunk Gears Medium
Chevron Bits
Industrial Light Bulbs
12x12 nested Cog Frames
Boys Will Be Boys Title

I wanted to keep with the masculine grungy feel

I covered all the pieces with the exception of the lightbulbs with texture paste and allowed it to air dry

I used Dusty Durango stampin' up ink pad and orange brusho powder on the rust colored pieces including the lightbulbs

I used a combination of uncharted mariner and faded jeans distress oxide inks with turquoise brusho powder

When all the pieces were dry I dry brushed white paint overtop to accent the textures.

Dude - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!
Laura back today to share my first March layout!

2 Crafty Products used;

Steampunk Corner 5
Industrial Light Bulbs
Steampunk Chain Clock Cluster
Assorted Chain Lengths
Steampunk Gears Medium
Steampunk Element Set 1
Steampunk Arrow Set 2
Dude
Steampunk Gears Small

This is our youngest working on his truck and all these steampunk and masculine pieces were just perfect for this layout

I covered all the chipboard with white gesso then let it dry.

I then 'pounced' some heavy texture paste and let it dry.

I applied some navy blue paint then spritzed it with water.  I added Finnabair mica powder in blue and brown then spritzed with water and finally Dylusions ink spray in black marble and postbox red.

To finish and accent the texture on the chipboard I dry brushed silver metallic craft drops from Elizabeth Craft Designs on top.

I hope I have inspired to get creative with your awesome 2Crafty Chipboard.

'Fun Times'
with Lisa Amiet

Hello 2Crafty fans!
It's Lisa here today to share some fun inspiration with you.

'Fun Times'

2Crafty products used:

Gears
Ferris Wheel
Industrial Light Bulbs
Checkerboard Bits
Family Symbol Pack

For this layout I have used a recent photo of
my son and daughter at my son's formal.

I have used some of the 'Mini Checkerboard Bits',
embossed in both white and black,
throughout my layout.

I have also used a few of the 'Steampunk Gears Medium',
that I have left raw and layered up over my page.

I have also used one of the 'Industrial Light Bulbs',
that I have painted bright pink
to coordinate with my papers.

I also used one of the 'Ferris Wheel' pieces,
painted in a bright aqua, and cut in half
and placed on the edge of my page.

I have built a cluster here
using more of the 'Mini Checkerboard Bits',
and two of the 'Mini Family Icons'.

I really love how the bright colours pop on the dark background!
Love that ferris wheel reflection in the building,
made me think of this chipboard piece immediately.

I hope that you like what I have created,
I am happy with how this turned out.

Until next time!

Lisa

"fantastic day"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

 Hello everyone,

Here is my second inspiration for this month of February, a layout inspired
by the theme of travel with a grunge style.
Using a photo of my grandson posing. I love it!

"fantastic day"

The 2CraftyChipbord used:

- Mini Title Stick Set 5
- 12 X 12 Clock Face Frames
- Stars Pack
- Geometric Arrows
- Steampunk Arrow Set 1
- Steampunk Gears Small
- Industrial Light Bulbs

I apply a layer of white gesso, I repeat myself systematically during each presentation,
but I prefer to mention it.

Mostly, I used Oxide Distress inks.

I started with the chipboard "Clock Face Frame", I love it so much.
To embellish it, I use the color "Frayed Burlap"

I then embellished the "Stars" with the colors "rustic wilderness" and "mustard seed,
by not applying myself, to give an aged effect.

On the chipboard "Steampunk arrow" I mixed the colors "faded jeans" and "rustic wilderness".
By combining different colors, I was able to superimpose the chipboards while leaving them visible.
I left the chipboards "Mini Title" in a natural way, they harmonize so well!

Playing with these beautiful chipboards is a real pleasure, they perfectly sublimate a layout.

Good scrap!

'Happiness Overload"
by Rachael Funnell

Hello 2 Crafty fans!
Today I have another layout to share, featuring a photo of me & the Hubstar
and a few fabulous  2 Crafty pieces...

2 Crafty Chipboard used:
2023
Industrial light bulbs
Frame Lace heart
Mini Title stick set 5

Let's start with these awesome Industrial light bulbs, which I have to say
I am obsessed with & were my main inspiration for this layout....

Teamed it up with some Studio 73 papers, the Steampunk Fantasy papers
that had similar industrial bulbs, which were perfect

I started by applying a very light coat of gesso to the tops of the bulbs
making sure not to cover up any of the fabulous engraved details...
Then I finish them off by applying another coat to just the bulbs part...

Next up I have used the smaller  Frame Lace heart from the set
and simply inked using Tim Holtz Distress ink - Pumice stone
which is a similar color to the raw chipboard...
 ...

Then we have my title 'Happiness overload' from the Mini Title stick set 5
I applied a very light coat of gesso to the mini title stick,
Again making sure not to cover up any of the engraved wording...

Lastly! I have added the year 2023
I gave it a coat of gesso then finished it with inking it with a lovely dusty pink...

I hope I have you are inspired in some way today

"One of a Kind"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I am pleased to meet you again to present my second inspiration for this month of September.`

A simple vintage layout with a picture of my grandson taken two years ago.

"One of a Kind"

The 2CraftyChipboard used:

- One of a Kind
- 6 inch Zipper Frames
- Industrial Light Bulbs
- 2020

I embellished all my chipboards in the same way by applying a layer of gray metallic paint which I then rubbed with a "bronze age" metallic wax.

I love these "Industrial Light Bulbs" particle boards. To give them an aged look,
I lightly rubbed with a file.

I first positioned the embellishments papers and my photo by adding the chipboard "Zipper frame".

I like to add a date chipboard to remind me how time flies.

After arranging my entire layout, I finish with the title.

Here, a simple layout with beautiful chipboards!

Thank you for your visit, good scrap to you.

'Steampunk Octopus' with Lisa Amiet

Hello 2Crafty lovers!
It's Lisa here today to share some inspiration with you.
I was lucky enough to recently attend a mixed media class
with the oh so talented, and hilarious, Antonis Tzanidakis.

I learnt some fabulous techniques and created a gorgeous steampunk seahorse panel.
I have created this octopus panel with the same style and theme
so that I can hang them in my art room.
For this panel, I used some of the fabulous new
2Crafty industrial steampunk designs.

I am so happy with how this turned out that I just had to share it with you all!

2Crafty Products used:

I have used some of the awesome 'Industrial Pipes/Mechanics' that I have painted red,
and then used an antiquing paste to distress.

I have also used some of the 'Steampunk Gears Medium' and 'Steampunk Gears Small',
that I have finished in either red or brown to suit the theme.

I have also used a couple of the 'Giant Gears' to use in my background,
also painted red and distressed.

I have also used some of the 'Industrial Light Bulbs' and 'Industrial Spring Set',
that I have finished with the same technique.

I am in love with these panels and I just love Antonis' style of mixed media,
if you can get to one of his classes I highly recommend it.
Along with the awesome new industrial designs,
the perfect combination of steampunk.

I hope that you like what I have created.

Until next time!

Lisa
