Memories - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!
I am back to share my next layout!
A masculine layout I created of my husband, stepson and friend working on Sebastian's motor.

2Crafty Products used;

Harlequin Clumps
Line Words Good Times
Grungy Splatter Bits
Mini Checkerboard Bits
Steampunk Gears Small
Steampunk Gears Medium
Steampunk Gear Border
Hanging Steampunk Lightbulb Set

I covered all of the chipboard pieces with texture paste then I began painting, misting and inking each piece

I used pumpkin impasto paint first then added some blue brusho powder and Lindy's cattail brown mist.  I wanted each piece to be different.

To highlight the texture on each chipboard piece I dry brushed white paint and then added some art stones that I dyed to match.

I wanted the title to stand out from grungy background and to accomplish that I painted a few coats of the pumpkin impasto paint then heat embossed it with orange embossing powder.

Father & Son Moment - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!
I love scrapping photos of my husband with our sons.

2Crafty Products used:

Suzie's Swirls
Filmstrips - Small
Father & Son Moment
Circle Dot Frame
6" Circle Revolution
Mini Checkerboard Bits
Photo Adornment - Element Set 3

I painted the circle revolution frame, the element set 3 and the filmstrip to be slightly different then the rest of the altered chipboard.

The other pieces I started with heavy texture paste

I then began layering different shades of blues and browns to achieve the look I wanted.

After the mists dried I inked the edges and a bit of the raised texture.

'Fun Times'
with Lisa Amiet

Hello 2Crafty fans!
It's Lisa here today to share some fun inspiration with you.

'Fun Times'

2Crafty products used:

Gears
Ferris Wheel
Industrial Light Bulbs
Checkerboard Bits
Family Symbol Pack

For this layout I have used a recent photo of
my son and daughter at my son's formal.

I have used some of the 'Mini Checkerboard Bits',
embossed in both white and black,
throughout my layout.

I have also used a few of the 'Steampunk Gears Medium',
that I have left raw and layered up over my page.

I have also used one of the 'Industrial Light Bulbs',
that I have painted bright pink
to coordinate with my papers.

I also used one of the 'Ferris Wheel' pieces,
painted in a bright aqua, and cut in half
and placed on the edge of my page.

I have built a cluster here
using more of the 'Mini Checkerboard Bits',
and two of the 'Mini Family Icons'.

I really love how the bright colours pop on the dark background!
Love that ferris wheel reflection in the building,
made me think of this chipboard piece immediately.

I hope that you like what I have created,
I am happy with how this turned out.

Until next time!

Lisa

A Moment Captured - Laura Gilhuly

 Hi everyone!
I have 2 sons and a husband so I create a lot of masculine layouts to celebrate their relationships!
This is my hubby and our youngest working on the Ty's truck.
They are always tinkering or working on things together.

2Crafty products used:

A Moment Captured

Steampunk Gears Medium

Circle Stack

Mini Checkerboard bits

Mini Sampler

After covering the paper with clear gesso I applied texture paste with a stencil then used orange brusho powder, Parisian Rosewood artisan powder and Winter Frost distress stain mist to color the paper.

I applied the same stencil/paste to the die cut circles.  I wanted the chipboard to reflect the grungy feel I was trying to accomplish.   I covered all the chipboard pieces with white gesso then I took the orange brusho powder and the rosewood powder and sprinkled the powders on my craft mat, spritzed with water then painted the pieces.  I added some more powders directly on the pieces then more water to add more vibrancy.

After I dried all the pieces I inked the edges with brown ink

For the title I covered in white gesso then sprayed with the Winter Frost distress stain heat set then applied it a few more times in spots to achieve the look I wanted.

'Start Somewhere'
Art Journal Page
with Lisa Amiet

Hello all!

It's Lisa here today to share my latest creation with you all.
I have an Art Journal Page that I have created,
using some of my favourite 2Crafty Chipboard.

'Start Somewhere'

2Crafty Products used:

For this page, I have started with a mixed media background,
using modelling paste, stencils, mists and inks.

I have then started to build up my page.
I have used some of the 'Mini Checkerboard Bits' in among my elements.

I have inked all my background chippies with black ink,
for contrast against the bright background.

I have also used some of the 'Squiggly Strips Set 1'
which I have cut into pieces and used on my page.

I have also used some of the 'ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars',
scattered over my page.

I have also used one of the 'Mini Family Icons'
which I have left raw, as the focal piece of my page.

I love the contrast of the black and the bright bold background.
I'm really happy with this page, I hope that you like it too!

Until next time!
