"Remember Moments Like This"By Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty fans!

This week for my layout reveal I had the inspiration to create something that would push

 me outside my usual comfort zone. I wanted to create something that would have 

a vintage feel while still providing a nice fresh touch. 

I am sometimes not fully satisfied by my purely "vintage" layouts,

 but I'm quite pleased with the balance I struck here.

"Remember Moments Like This"

On the "Poppy's Ornate Frame", I used metallic teal embossing ink 

and then applied black ink on the contour.

For the "Starlink Panel" in the background, I started by cutting it to give it a rounder 

shape and give the impression that the stars are detached from each other. Then I 

applied a pink embossing enamel powder.

On the "Brook's Swirls", I first applied pink ink and then followed by dabbing a copper embossing ink on top. Finally I applied a diluted silver glaze on top and traced the contour with black ink.

For the title, "Remember moments like this", I applied two coats of black

 embossing powder and some teal metallic embossing ink.

 I was instantly inspired & knew straight away what photo I wanted to scrapbook....

Starting with ♥ my Niece title I gave it a coat of gesso, once it dried then inked the ♥ with teal & the words my niece with a fuchsia pink...

Another gorgeous August 2018 release chipboard piece I used was 'Memories' from the Fine word set 3..  I wanted the fine word Memories sitting on the ♥ to stand out a little more AND what better way than using black...

To bring some focus back to the B & W photo, I decided to use a leftover/ negative circle chipboard piece from the 6" Circle revolution frame... First giving it a couple of coats of gesso, once dried inking with a pastel Apricot colour...

The Brooke's chipboard swirl I've used first cut into 3 smaller pieces inked with a fuchsia pink & just wasn't loving it, SO I add a few coats of gesso hence why the swirls have a some pink tones... which I was really happy with!  While the ATC- Branches have a a couple of coats of gesso! 

Here to the right side of photo is a (March 2018 release) Tangled lamp post also coated with gesso.. 

AND this 2017 chippy piece has been inked with black....

Kavitha here today to share with you my July projects.

"Little Wonder" Canvas

For my first project I made a "Baby theme" mixed media canvas.
After creating the mixed media background with stenciling and acrylic paints
I created my layout with lots of layers.

All my chipboard pieces are heat embossed with Lindy"s embossing powders.

I used  Yvette's frame behind the photo.

For my title I used the word "Wonder" from the  mini word set.

I used a piece of Dandelions among the floral cluster.

I also used ATC tiny hearts and stars  which is heat embossed with glitter 

embossing powder.

"Shabby Chic" Layout

 I made a shabby chic layout with Maja design papers, lots of fussy cut/stamped
flowers,lace and of course gorgeous chipboards.Again all of them are
heat embossed with color embossing powders form Lindy's.

 I used Brooke's swirls along both the sides of the photo.I also used

Parisian border cut up into two pieces placing horizontally. 

I added Heidi's vines among the floral cluster.

January Inspiration By Debbie Burns

Hi everyone!
 Debbie here with you today from the other end of the world, the United States. 

I'm thrilled to be a part of this amazing design team and look forward to sharing my
 creations with you.

"Just Love Our Story"

I love to create romantic, shabby chic layouts with lots of layering, mixed media flowers and of course chipboard! I started off by adding some inking to the background paper along with some masking in pink and copper tones.

2 Crafty Chipboard used:

I used several pieces of chipboard here, 2 of Addy's Butterflies and Ava's Frame.
 All were heat embossed with a mixture of copper, pink and antique taupe embossing powders.
 I added some peony pink stenciling mousse as well on the pieces.

On the right hand side of my layout I used the Ella's border chipboard treated in the same fashion as the butterflies and frames.  I added some copper microbeads.

I love to mix embossing powders.
  My title is a combination of pink and antique taupe powders.
Love the aged look!


"Don't Let Anyone Ever Dull Your Sparkle"

I love this photo of a dear friend's daughter.
 She has such a sweet smile. I added some pink ink along with some light misting
 on the background along with some snowflakes.

On both sides of the photo I used a flower doily chipboard embossed pink.  Beneath my flower cluster is one of Brooke's Swirls  embossed with icicle powders and tiny silver microbeads.

The right of my photo I placed a flower doily chipboard along with Breanna's Swirl chipboard, embossed with icicle powder and tiny silver microbeads.

Love this title!  A perfect compliment to the sweet photo.  I embossed with light pink and icicle embossing powers.  I added some paint splatters to the background paper along with some bling.

Autumn Door DecorationBy Jennifer Snyder

Hello.  Jennifer Snyder here today to share a large project with you. 

 This chicken wire wood frame is hanging in my front door to welcome everyone
 and bringing a little color to my home for Autumn.  

The wood frame is rather large measuring 15.75 x 13.625 inches. 
 It came as part of my Flying Unicorns kit for November.  I thought the
 2Crafty Chipboard - "Line Words Happiness" would be perfect 
because they are 12 inches long and large enough to be statement pieces.  

As balance to my wooden frame, I used "Brooks Swirls" tucked here and there.

These are the fun and wonderful raw chipboard pieces.  It doesn't take 

much to gussy them up.  I simply stained them & glued them into place.  

The close up shots that follow give a better look at the second piece of chipboard used - "Brook's Swirls".  They were also stained brown and stuck into my floral clustering.  

The home decor frame is accented with Prima flowers.
