"Beauty Within" by Elena Martynova LAYOUT+ VIDEO TUTORIAL

Hi Everyone!

It's Elena here and today I have a layout for you that 

features my favorite chipboards from 2Crafty! 

As a background, I took a piece of paper from the new collection 

"TWINKLE OF SUNRISE" from Craft o'clock.

 In the video you can see the entire process of creating a layout.

 It was pretty fast and very fun for me.

First of all, I want to draw your attention to these wonderful word strips with inscriptions. 

They have such a wonderful size that you can use them in layouts, cards and albums.

 I really like the inscriptions on them - they are universal and suitable for all my works.

I also love the background chipboard. I divide it into fragments and put it in various places.

 This creates a multi-layered and multi-detailed environment.

 In this layout, I used two small pieces from Fencing Wire Panel 

Secondly, I just love the Compass chip. I covered it with embosser powder

 to add texture and gloss. Also lifted on a piece of cardboard to make all the elements 

seem more voluminous.

Aren't these birds lovely? And how well they fit the background sheet 

and the entire composition as a whole! I painted them first with white paint, 

and then lightly tinted them with gold, Golden brown and glitter paste.

Hello 2Crafty FANS....

Rach with you, sharing my November creations....

My first layout! Featuring my brother & our beautiful niece!!

 YES! All photos are precious....  BUT! this photo has that extra special factor for me.... 💗

My gorgeous niece has been going to guitar lessons, using her fathers,
 (who sadly is no longer with US 💔) guitar... Which I think is SOOOO BEAUTIFUL.....

 SO! this year for Fathers Day my awesome brother decided to go visit her
& they played a couple of tunes together.... 💗

 Vanessa has created so many gorgeous pieces of chipboard over the years.... 

I HAVE to admit that I was SUPER excited to see she released this awesome 'Guitar Collage'....

I started off with heat embossing it white, then randomly heat embossing with a gold,
 the guitar & the dots, finished it off with adding little yellow using Tim Holtz Crayon....  

The beautiful 'Festive Music Note' is inked with black....

I have added quite a few 'Music Notes' though out my layout, which have
been inked with black, gold, silver or white gesso....

Also! with a layer of white gesso is this Fine Word 'Treasure' and 'Decorated Disc' 
 which I cut in half.......

For my 2nd layout featuring me & my HUBSTAR....... who can get on my nerves from

 time to time & I'm sure I do the same... LOL💕  but  he is most definitely.....

'My Knight in Shining Armour'

'My Knight in Shining Armour' title & a 'Juliet heart' has been heat embossed with white.

Inked with black & cut into smaller pieces and placed thoughout my background  is 

the 'Circle Lace Panel' This sweet little 'Locket' has been heat embossed with a pale pink,

 also heat embossed with the pale pink is a couple of the 'Birds'....

Finishing off my layout are some of the 'Fine leafy bush' which I've inked
 with a green cut into smaller pieces....

'Grandkids'

Rachael with you to share my February projects / two layouts......

My first layout of my MIL with her five grandkids!

2 Crafty Chipboard used:

I have given the title Grandkids a couple of coats of gesso.
 The Adore word, from the Fine word Set, has been heat embossed with a nice royal blue....

The Flourish Frame 3 has been inked black & cut in half to sit at the top & bottom of the photo....

Peeking out of the paper layers is a Flower Doily.  I had cut it in half & 

given it a random coat of gesso...

Vintage Bird also has a very light coat of gesso..... & the Hearts from ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars, some inked black & some have a couple of coats of gesso.....

With the Brick Panel, I first cut it into smaller random pieces inked with a rustic orange, 

then dabbed ever so lightly with gesso just to tone it down a little....

'Forever Always'

This next layout is a bit of an EXTRA SPECIAL layout of my brother 

(who sadly is no longer with us).

I would have to say I really LOVE working with these words from the Fine Word Set....

 I have heat embossed the forever & always words with gold........ 

Then I glued these words on top of the Squiggly heart cluster
which has also received a coat of gesso.

I  VERY lightly inked the Fob Clock with gold.

With a set of Wings from Wing Set 1 I simply gave them a light layer of gesso
 then around the edges I added a few extra coats of gesso.....

A Flourish from the Flourish Adornment 5 Set, I have cut in two & inked black.

The Birds have been heat embossed with a gold........

'Hello Birds'

Hello 2Crafty friends!

Today I'm sharing a fun and cute canvas with lots of colors and ...birds :)

I had this beautiful set of 2Crafty chippie birds for some time and I was just 

waiting  for a great idea to come up and use them.

The set contains three sizes of birds (two of each size), so I came up with a bird pyramid!!

I decided to use 4 of the 6 birds, not only for the reason to keep my pyramid not too high, but also to use the particular white cardboard I had. I measured a balsa wood at the same size of the cardboard, cut it in 3 and glued it down.  I painted both of them with gesso, blue silks and brown distress stain. 

Ι didn't use any stamps or stencils, as I wanted to keep the background quite and simple and focus on the birds.

To alter the birds I used silks paints, a little bit of gesso, stamps and a black permanent pen...

First I painted them with just a small amount of gesso very carefully, because I didn't want to cover the beautiful engraved pattern of them. Τhe white gesso helps the colors to show bright and right. 

After the gesso dried, I painted them with the silks.  Then I stamped on them here and there and painted some details with a pretty thin paintbrush again with silks. Last thing to do was to draw the legs with the black permanent pen.

For the tittle I used the "Script Font L/C Alphas". I really like this script because of the
calligraphy type - the letters abutting each other so nicely like they are handwritten.

I altered them with white crackle paint and I love how they turned out!

'Sweet Memories Card'

This small project has many uses: you can use it as a tiny canvas, frame it, or give it to friend
as a card. I used quite a few materials to create it and I love it because it's so small :)

For the background I used the "Circular Panel" 6x6 as a stencil with Dimensional paint.
 It's really a great use of that kind chipboard because it's thicker than a regular stencil and
 you get a very impressive result!

I also used a leaf from the "Leafy Silhouettes" set and an arrow from the 
 "Mini Fast Forward Arrows" set to embellish the project.
