After prepping the paper with clear gesso then added some inked images with a stencil I used texture paste on the chipboard pieces

I then began layering colours with Finnabair green and grey from the Golden hour pack, brusho orange and Magical tibetan poppy teal powders

I then began layering the chipboard with resin elements, flowers and coloured art stones.

For the title piece I inked it with peeled paint and then heat embossed it with sage embossing powder.

'Gorgeous Girl'
Layout by Rachael Funnell

Hello there 2 Crafty fans!
Rach with you today, sharing some more
September 2 Crafty inspiration...
This layout featuring my gorgeous girl and these

2 Crafty Chipboard:

2020
Doily Disc set
Aztec Arrow
ATC - Title stick set 1
Tiny film strip

As usual I start with adding some stamping, paper layers and fussy cutting...
Then it was onto preparing the chipboard,
adding a thick of coat of gesso to a couple of  Doily Disc's,
then cut one of those disc, 3/4 - 1/4 before adhering them to my page..

Wanting to make a bit of a statement with the Tiny film strip
So! I went with inking it black, cutting it in half then placing
either side of my photos's...

Next! with a more subtle approach
to the 2020 inking it in sliver..

Then onto the Aztec Arrow, I gave it 2 coats of gesso
before adhering it.... And lastly the Gorgeous Girl -my title
from the ATC - Title stick set 1 where I have inked it pink...

And then finalizing my layout with some black splattering....

Thanks! so much for stopping by...
Hopefully I have inspired you in some way!!
Until next time xx

"You Are Awesome"
By Tammy Klingner

Hello there!

Tammy here today to share my latest....

A layout documenting my son's first job!!
Yep he is awesome!

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

"Assorted Arrows"
"Aidan's Arrows"
"You are awesome title"
"Aztec Arrows Set 1"

I began by using the "Aidan's Arrows" as a stencil.
I placed them randomly on the page and then added some spritz.
When I lifted them up, they had left a cool background pattern.

I then added a few splodges of paint to the pieces of "Aidan's Arrows"
Chipboard to give it a grungy look.

Such a cool way to use chipboard - a 2 for 1 technique!!

I applied white gesso to a few of the "Assorted Arrows" and then added a
few layers of spritz and ink until I'd achieved the colour I was after.
I then added these randomly to the layout.

I applied the same technique to the 'awesome' part of the "You are Awesome" Title.

To the reminder of the title, I added black paint.
It gave a nice grungy contrast.

Finally, I added black paint to one of the arrows from the NEW "Aztec Arrows Set 1".
I LOVE everything about this piece of chippy!!
The size, the style.
Just gorgeous!!

There you have it!!

A grungy boy layout this time.
I hope that this has inspired you today to try a bit of grunge,
or try using your chippy as a stencil.

I'll be back again a bit later in the month.
If you can't wait that long, feel free to check out my BLOG.

Love Tam
xx

'His Smile' layout
by Rachael Funnell

Hello 2 Crafty fans!
Rach with you today sharing my newest creation,
a layout featuring my handsome teenager son
& some great 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces...

2 Crafty Chipboard:

Aztec arrow
His Smile - 1 of the new pieces for 2 Crafty August release
ATC - Tiny arrows
Light bulbs
Small Steampunk gears

Then layout came together relatively quickly
I started with a mixed media background....
by adding a coat of clear gesso, lots of stamping & a little colour..

Next I added some paper layers & my photo..
Then it was onto the chipboard pieces & sticking with the colour scheme!
I heat embossed all chipboard pieces with either teal, black or dark blue.....

Wanting a more rugged/uneven finish to the
Steampunk corner, I decide to first pull away a thin layer of chipboard
from only some parts of the corner before embossing ...

For my title His Smile is one of 2 Crafty August release
I first given it a 2 coats of gesso,
before heat embossing bottom half of the word Smile...

I am really happy with how my page has turned out!!!

Thanks for stopping by
Hopefully I have inpsired you in some way today!
Until next time!
