Aztec arrow set

Let's start with the Aztec arrow I have sitting across my photo

I have simply given it two coats of gesso..

I also added some gesso to a couple of the ATC Tiny hearts & the 2020

OK! So here's the thing, 😏

 I was so focused on  inking the title with black ink 

 then went and put up against the beautiful Frame lace heart and thought oh  wow

how good that looks & glued it to the frame before 

even giving it any more of a thought 

about what I was going to do to the gorgeous lace frame.. LOL

 

Thank goodness it worked out & looks SO GOOD...

Rach with today sharing another bit of 2 Crafty inspiration

This masculine/grungy layout...

2 Crafty Chipboard used:

With the chipboard pieces, I've used

 I have kept it relatively simple,

 either inked with black OR a nice thick coat of gesso...

Dabbing the gesso with a sponge to the 

 6" Zipper frame, (Explore)Mini Word set 4 & Mini Border 1

to give these pieces a real nice textured finish...

Once I inked the Aztec Arrows with the black

I cut one of the arrows in half, then glued them onto my paper layers..

For this project I chose to cut up the arrows and the frames to fit in and around my layers.

I love how you can mix and match all the chipboard pieces. And I love how you can really extend the chipboard by cutting them, just like these frame pieces.

All the finishes on the chipboard are acrylic paint and a variety of waxes to compliment.

I hope this project has encouraged you to try something new with your chipboard pieces.

Hello everyone!

Rach with you sharing some more 2 Crafty inspiration

using some great 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces, I have created this masculine grungy layout.

2 Crafty Chipboard used:

Scribble Circles

Starting with the title, September 2016

Inking the fine Word September month with an orange color

 using  Tim Holtz - Spiced Marmalade. And the 201, I've inked with black.

Next for the Scribble Circles & the Aztec Arrow

which I was wanting them to be a bit more grungy like, 

So I went with giving them a nice thick coat of crackle paste.

And lastly for those SUPER CUTE  ATC - Maple leaves

Started with a coat of gesso, then inking them again using the 

Tim Holtz - Spiced Marmalade and finished these 

beauties off with a light inking of a darker orange. 

I'm pretty happy with the end result, I hope you like it too

I'm back sharing this fun/boho style layout featuring yours truly

Using the Circle Tag 'Journey' and 2021 for my title

and inking them with Distress 'Peacock feather' and 'Victorian Velvet'..

I wanted all of the Fine delicate different types of arrows 

I have used, to be noticed so I went with inking them all black.. 

AND DON'T they look just fantastic!!! 

The super cute Doilies also have been inked, with Distress 'Fossilized amber' 

then I've cut the larger doily into two & adhering a few of the fussy cut flowers 

over parts of the doilies just to finish this page of nicely...

Hopefully my layout has inspired you in some way today

Hello lovelies,

This stunning background paper was in my stash for a while and I hadn’t figured out how to use it. Combining steampunk and flowers to my usual soft tones and shabby style was quite a challenge for me. I dug into my 2Crafty chippies stash and realized that these amazing aztec arrows were a perfect match for this background. In the end, I am really happy with the final result and how easy it was to integrate steampunk to my layout.

Adventure

6" Butterfly Clock Frame and Clock face Discs were embossed with Wow white puff powder, which adds extra texture and dimension. Butterfly clock was tucked over the main clustering bringing attention over the B&W picture. Smallest clock face disk was placed among right cluster. 

Aztec Arrows Set 1 elements were covered with Wow Black Puff powder, cut apart and placed above and under the paper cluster.

Adventure word part of Arrow Word Set 1 was embossed with light blue Lindy’s Gang powder. Blue and teal tones are contrasting nicely with the earty tones of the background.

A home is not a home without a dog by Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2crafty fans,

Summer is nearing the end here in Quebec and we're saying goodbye to a few months of amazing hot weather. However we're getting ready for the even nicer season that is autumn here, with its beautiful colors, amazing smells and delicious pumpkin spice lattes. 

Today, I'd like to show you a layout that fits this mood nicely, featuring my favorite doggo, Neho.

"A home is not a home without a dog"

For the "Steampunk Gears Medium", I used brown embossing ink and used my fingers to apply a gold wax very roughly on top of it.

On the "Corner Steampunk 1", I applied a vintage brown ink and dabbed some black-and-copper embossing ink. For the "Aztec Arrows Set 1", I applied a gold embossing powder and then a diluted red shimerring gold paint. On the "Mini Branches", I used a rust embossing powder. 

For the title, "A home is not a home without a dog", I used a ivory-gold embossing enamel.

Hello 2Crafty fans!

Valentine day is around the corner and for the occasion I created a little canevas 

using several thematic 2Crafty chipboards.

 "Hello Love"

I started by randomly applying modeling paste through two stencils on my canvas.
Then, I base coated it and all the pieces with white gesso.
Thereafter, I glued everything in place using medium gel.

I wanted to created an ombre effect, and to do so, I started by appling a thick layer of pink acrylic paint in the middle of my canevas. I then sprayed water on it to create drips at the top and the bottom.

Once the pink paint was dry, I repeated the same process with red paint 

mainly around "Hello Love title".

Finally, I dry brushed white gesso on top of everything to create contrast.
