Handsome - Laura Gilhuly

Hi everyone!

I am back to share another layout I created of my wonderful husband!

2Crafty Products used;

Chevron Bits

Steampunk Collage

Handsome Title

Circle Dot Frames (I used the negative part)

Industrial Spring

Filmstrip medium

Steampunk Gears Medium

I wanted the title to stand out against the busy background so I simply heat embossed it black.

The gears, spring, collage, chevrons and filmstrip I wanted to be grungy and have an industrial feel.  To accomplish this I painted each piece with white gesso and once dry I added some heavy texture paste.  Once the paste was dry I layered colors using oranges, browns, greys and black spray mist then I inked the outside edges.

Love the rustic feel of these pieces which suit my theme perfectly.

Hope you like my page and I've inspired you to get crafty today.

Thanks for stopping by

"LA CASA DE PAPEL"
Canvas by Marie Sabatier

For my second inspiration of this month I chose to create a mixed media canvas.

We are fans of the series "LA CASA DE PAPEL" at home.
So I made this canvas for my son and he loved it.

"LA CASA DE PAPEL"

2Crafty Chipboards used :

- Brick Panel
- 12 X 12 Clock faces
- Steampunk Collage
- Steampunk Gears Smal
- Steampunk Gears Medium

To start I applied a layer of black gesso on my canvas and also on the chipboards.

I applied patterns to the background using stencil and modeling paste to create relief.
To get the background that I liked I mixed different colors of ink, white gesso, wax.

I superimposed several layers of paper before placing the photo,
I also used scraps of chipboards to create volume.

Then embellished the chipboards with different materials and colors to obtain contrasts.

I love the mix of colors!

Here for this sublime "Steampunk collage" chipboard I got a wonderful color effect.

To contrast I added these cabochons which I painted with acrylic paint.

Well, I finished the hands well colored but I love the result and above all
I had a good time with these wonderful chipboards!

And then creating is what it is, to have fun and to please.

I hope I made you want to try. See you soon!

Spring cards by Elena Martynova

Hello friends!
It's Elena Martynova here. Today I want to show my spring cards.

I love making these handmade cards and giving them away as gifts.
Inside, you can write nice words and put a monetary gift.
The size of the postcards is 10x20 cm.
To create them, I used a wonderful new collection "Melody" by Lemoncraft.

The paper collection has a delicate light green palette.
To make the chipboard stand out better,
I covered it with a new Lindy's embosser powder .

In this card the disc is decorated with That's Marble-ous Chunky EP.

And the curls from the Flourish Adornment Set 5 I covered with Chalk It Up Chunky EP.

I decorated each card with a luxurious Prima flower,
added small pieces of lace and beads of different sizes.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

See you soon with another creative make and until then, happy crafting!
Love Elena xx

'You are Awesome'
June Inspiration
with Lisa Amiet

Hello, 2Crafty fans!
It's Lisa here today to share my latest creation with you.
I have created a layout featuring my son.

'You are Awesome'

2Crafty Chipboard products used:

For this layout, I have used a mix of our chipboard designs.

I have started with the 'Steampunk Collage' piece,
that I am so in love with!

I have embossed it first with black embossing powder,
then giving it a coat of aged gold,
being careful to not cover all of the black.

I have also used some of the 'Diamond Chunk Bits',
that I have given the same finish.

I have then added one of the 'Light Bulbs',
which I have embossed in black,
except for the filament, which is aged gold.

I have used more of the 'Diamond Chunk Bits',
 layered into my clusters.

Lastly, I have used the 'You are Awesome' title,
which I have embossed in black.

I am really happy with the way it turned out.
I hope that this has inspired you today.

Until next time

Lisa xo

'6 teen' by Rachael Funnell

Hello 2Crafty fans!
Rach with you sharing today with this vivid, masculine, grungy layout featuring my boy.....
Using a few fabulous 2Crafty chipboard pieces!!!

2Crafty Chipboard Used...
Today (from fine word set 3)
Assorted Arrows
Steampunk Collage
6 from Large number set)
Scrabble tiles
2018
Chain length

I wanted the Chain length to been seen & not get lost....  What better way than
inking the chain with black, I then cut into 3 smaller lengths and placed on my page.....

I have few Assorted Arrows which have been treated with a couple of coats with gesso...
I thought it would be a nice contrast against the black....

Also! inking with black is the fine word Today (from fine word set 3) looking
great sitting to the left side of my photo...

The Steampunk Collage. Firstly I gave it couple of coats of gesso, & once dried
adhering it to the right side of the photo, a little just sitting underneath my photo...

I then inked the number 6 with black and adhering it onto the Steampunk Collage
using some foam tape for the added dimension...

To finish off my layout and inspired by the colours that I added to my background I
throught it would bring my layout together nicely.... I treated both the scrabble tiles
& the 2018 with a coat of gesso, then adding some colour to the these pieces....

Thankyou for stopping by!!
I hope I have motivated  YOU in some way when creating your next masculine layout
and 2 Crafty having such a GREAT range of chipboard pieces to do just that!!

Memory of You - with Karan

"Memory of You"
Mixed Media Canvas with Karan

Hi and Welcome to the 2 Crafty Blog today.
Its Karan Gerber here to share a step out tutorial with you.
I have been admiring some of my MIL old black and white photos she had and saw
this one of hubby.  What I love about the old black and white photos is the date is on the
edge of the photo frame, so there is no guessing when it was taken.  Hubby happen to
be two in this photo and I really wanted to do a mixed media project with it.

Here is what I have designed for you today using a array of
steampunk chipboard from 2Crafty

I went looking for a circle canvas, and in my area, was not to be found,  I did happen to find a circle MDF plaque at my local dollar store and mounted a 5x7 flat board canvas on top. I gave the plaque and canvas a few coats of gesso and adhered the 5x7 canvas on top using Gel medium.

Here is my step out tutorial. on Snapguide:
