'Let the adventure begin'
by Tammy Klingner

Hello there 2Crafty creatives.
Tam here today to share my latest creation.

'Let the Adventure Begin'

A layout celebrating the moment my girl got her Learner's Licence.
Yikes!! Definitely a moment that needs to be scrapped.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

'Adventure' loopy font Title
'Steampunk Cog Strips'
'Steampunk Gears Small'
'Mini Fast Forward Arrows'

I began by colouring the 'Steampunk Cog Strips'.
I added a bit of this and a bit of that until I was happy with the mix.

I swiped a bit of black gesso, then added some metallique wax, some turquoise ink and a bit of copper wax too.

I did the same to the 'Steampunk Gears - Small'.
I really love the touches of turquoise.

I applied white gesso to the 'Adventure loopy font title'.
Once dry I added some swipes of turquoise ink and a touch of metallique wax too.

I painted a couple of the arrows from the 'Mini Fast Forward Arrows' in black gesso.
I popped out the inner arrows and then to the circular arrows I added some white pen marks.

Fun to use both of these arrows on the layout.

There you have it!

I hope this page has inspired you.

I'll be back again a bit later in the month for my next share.

Until then you can head to my BLOG for further inspiration.

"Adventure Rebel"
By Emma Zappone

Hi everyone,
Emma here today on the 2Crafty blog.
Today’s layout was inspired by this Pop Art image I found on Pinterest
of Carrie Fisher mixed with a little  David Bowie...

I chose the red background to match the stripe on Carrie's face.
Then to get the space vibe I chose the square collage panel and cut it up to
sit behind my image, I inked this with a Distress Oxide ink and then with
my finger applied a Prima wax over the top.

To mimic the pattern on her face I used part of the squiggle border which I painted
with  Dina Wakley paint and again went over it with the Wax. I think this is my
new fave product. Plus it smells so good 😉

The ‘adventure’ word I inked with black archival ink and left it as it was.

Here are the 2Crafty products I used......

I really had fun with this layout, taking my time, creating layers and just enjoying the process.

I look forward to seeing you all next month.
Until then, Em xx

2 Crafty Chipboard  used: ...

 Adventure - Loopy font
Mini Checkerboard pieces
ATC - tiny arrows

2 Crafty chipboard are one of the generous sponsors this month at CSI,
The 2 Crafty Design team were lucky enough to be guest detectives
for the CSI Color, Stories, Inspiration
Case file - No. 256

Solving the Case:
The Colour Scheme: Yellow, Turquoise, bright White, Red & Black
Evidence: Check/Grid, Washi tape, Circles, Solid white background.
Testimony (journaling ideas): I've used word Adventure

For my title I've used the Adventure - Loopy font and inking it
with black ink for it to stand out sitting on my photo...

I have also incorporated a few pieces of the Mini Checkerboard, first given each piece a
couple of coats of white acrylic paint, then placing them around my paper layers & photo...

I have inked the ATC - Arrows with the same color theme, teal, yellow & red...

August Inspiration Projects With Jaya Raghuvanshi

"ADVENTURE"
Hello 2Crafty fans!

Hope you were inspired by the Design team's inspiring projects this month.
Today I too have a few layouts to share with you  all.
I love this picture of my hubby and so I decided to make a masculine page this time.

 Some close ups-

I chose the "Adventure" loopy font title for my page and covered it in black gesso.
I applied some gesso on the Interlocking grid Panel chippie and once it was dry I
 coloured it using watercolours.
I cut it into several pieces and arranged around my composition..

2Crafty Chippie pieces used-
Adventure loopy font
Interlocking grid pattern

"CHERISH"

Some close ups-

I chose the gorgeous Ava's frame and heat embossed it with shabby white embossing
enamel. I cut it up and rearranged it around my flower cluster.

I simply love the beautiful fonts released this year. You must check them out!
The "Cherish" title is from the Fine Word set 1 and I covered it in white acrylic paint.
The other chippies have been covered in white gesso and then watercoloured.

2 Crafty Chippies used-
Iron fence
Fine words set #1
Mini bicycles
Ava's Frames

I hope you were inspired .
See you next month!
