Dream
by Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty friends!

A few years ago I discovered SUP (Standup Paddleboard) as my new favorite sport, alongside yoga. However, 2 years ago I got an injury that prevented me from doing most sports until late 2020.
But of course here in Quebec we have snow, blistering cold and all sorts of bad weather that makes it impossible to practice SUP outside of the June-September season, so I still had to wait several months after my doctor had given the green light for me to resume sports.
In the last 3 months, I've really been making the most of it, going pretty much every week
and having a real blast!

I've prepared a small video showing the techniques I used to prepare this layout
featuring me doing SUP!

"Dream"

For the "Mini Title Stick Set 3", I simply rubbed a little bit of black ink.

On the "Ava's Frame", I applied green-gold embossing enamel.
For the "Grass Clumps", I used two coats of green ink and traced the borders with black ink.

For the title, part of "Fine Word set 3", I applied 2 coats of black embossing powder and then applied a bit of red metallic paint on top.

I used the following 2Crafty chipboards in this layout:

Ava's Frame [fr0096]
Grass Clumps [m00144]
Mini Title Stick Set 1 [mb022]
Fine Word Set 3 [m00799]

That's all for me today! I hope my layout gave you some inspiration for your own creations. I'll be back soon with more ideas to share with you. Until then, take care and happy crafting!

PLUS A PROCESS VIDEO TUTORIAL

Hi there!

I'm here to show my lastest project I created with 2Crafty chippies.

When I see such a mischievous smile appear on my son's face, I know that something
is about to happen.... He likes to joke and play tricks on everyone around.
And that's just how we love him.

You will find a process video at the end of this post.
I hope you will enjoy it.

"Love That Smile"

"Love that smile" was embossed with Lindy's Burgundy Brass powder.

"Ava's Frame" was basecoated with white gesso and embossed with Lindy's Golden Wing powder.

Moment
with Marie Claude

Hi 2crafty fans,

I'm here today to show you my latest creation using beautiful 2Crafty chipboards.

This time I went with warm tones for my background and light colors for my chippies.

With two boys, I don't use pink often. But when I do, I like to combine it with yellow.
The final result is always super interesting!

I wanted a short and discreet title. For the occasion, I chose a word from the Fine Word set 3.
I cut both ending swirls and embossed it with a bronze powder.

After applying white gesso as a basecoat to Ava's Frame, I embossed it with a light cream powder.
Then, I used gold and bronze waxes to add contrast and dried brushed white gesso here and there as a final touch

After cutting one piece of the Leafy Shrub set 1 in two and placing it on both sides of my picture, I used the same coloring technique as for Ava's frame.

The keyhole and Addy's butterflies were covered with antique gold embossing powder
and a touch of white gesso.

Product list
Fine Word set 3
Keyholes and locks
Leafty Shrub set 1
Ava's Frame
Addy's butterflies

See you soon with another creative project.

Tammy's first June Share

Good morning 2 Crafty lovers!
Tammy here today to share my latest 2 Crafty Chipboard Creation.
This one's titled :

"Crazy About You"

A layout celebrating my love for my gorgeous daughter.
For this layout, I wanted to challenge myself.
I am scared of purple!! It's my nemesis, my kryptonite. I struggle to use it.
Now before all you purple lovers get angry with me, let me explain.
For those who know my creative work, you will know I'm a huge COLOUR fan - the brighter, the better. BUT I tend to steer clear of purple. Lately I noticed that I had hardly any purple in my stash, so I recently purchased my 'go to' colour products in purple - Dylusions Ink Spray and Dylusions Paint.
Right, time to get over my fear, time to dive in, time to fall in love with purple!
But first let's start with the 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used on this layout:
"Ava's Frame"
"Lattice Leaves"
"Crazy About You Title"
"Moroccan Bits"
"Starbright Snowflakes"

So I began coating the "Moroccan Bits" in white gesso and then added a few random sprays of Dylusions Ink Spray in 'Crushed Grape'.
I wanted this to have an ombre kind of effect, I didn't want it to be just one colour.

I placed these onto my background.
I then applied white gesso to "Ava's Frame" and added this to my page so that it circled my photos. I love how the flourish sits - it provided the perfect spot for me to add some clusters of flowers.

I also applied white gesso to the "Starbright Snowflakes". Once dry, I added clear Kindy Glitz for a gorgeous subtle glittering shimmer.
I haven't used this stuff in years, it looks perfect on the snowflakes - kinda looks like snow. So magical.
My daughter loves Winter and Snowflakes so these were just perfect to pop on the layout.
Some I snipped in half and adhered so they looked like they were trailing off the page.
Some I added into the clusters.
The glitter is so subtle, I hope it shows up on the camera.....

I painted the "Crazy About You Title" in black paint as I really wanted to add a strong contrast to the softer feel of the layout.
I then applied Dimensional Magic, which gives a beautiful glossy resin like finish.
I also added some black paint to the "Lattice Leaves" and poked these into the cluster of flowers.
So there you have it.....my first play with Purple. I think I did ok.
I'm really hoping we can be friends, in fact, I really hope we can be more than friends!!
Purple, I would love to LOVE YOU!
What have you done lately in your creating that challenged you and pushed you out of your comfort zone?
I'd love you to share that with me.
You can see more of my work over on my Blog HERE.
I'll see you later on in the month.

April Inspiration by Sabrina

Hello 2Crafty fans,

It is my turn to share my projects for April.
My first project puts my hubby and I in the spotlight.
Even after 18 years together, we're still in love.

"Love is in the Air"

For the title, "Love is in the Air", I used a gold embossing powder
which really makes the text stand out.

I applied a pink metallic embossing enamel on the "Ava's Frame"
that blends well with the background.

I first painted the "Climbing rose bush" with a black matte paint.
When dried, I applied a gold embossing ink.

I used a silver metallic paint on the "Fancy Damask", diluted with water.
Then, on top of the paint, I applied a pink embossing ink.

For this project, I used the following awesome chipboards:
Ava's Frame (FR0096)
Climbing Rose Bush (DB0100)
Fancy Damask (M00564)
Love is in the Air (W00418)

"Family Forever & Always"

The second project I want to show you today is quite special for me. I did the
"Family forever & always" layout as a gift for a close friend, hard-working
mom of three that just graduated from university.

On the "handdrawn feathers", I applied a red-gold embossing powder.

To give this nice rusty look to the "Hearth Clumps", I used a red ink,
then applied some gold-copper embossing ink on top.

Finally, on the title "Family forever & always", I applied a white-pink embossing enamel.

For this layout, I used the 2Crafty Chipboards:
Handrawn Feathers (M00588)
Heart Clumps (M00576)
Family Forever and always (W00125)
That's all for this month! I hope these inspire you to create as much
as I had fun doing them for you! See you next month!

May Inspiration by Rachael Funnell

Hello There 2 Crafty fans!
Rachael here, today I have two layouts to share.....

'Mother's Day 2016'

2 Crafty have this really lovely Mother's Day word-title & as we just celebrated
Mother's Day a few days go here in Australia..... I hope all you mothers had a
 WONDERFUL day!  xx
 I decided to create a Mother's Days inspired layout - Mother's Day 2016...

2 Crafty Chipboard used:
Ava's Frame
Beaded heart borders
Heart Silhouette's
2016
Mothers Day word

Inspired by the colours from my photo!
I started with a coat of gesso, to both the 2016Mothers Day word....
Then Mothers Day is inked with Pale Pink & 2016 inked with a Burgundy...

The Heart Silhouette's inked with Burgundy & some with black.....

With the Ava's Frame & a piece from Beaded heart borders,
both have been coated a gesso....

For my second layout a grungy boys page..... of my son!

'Limited Edition'

2 Crafty Chipboard used:
6x6 Retro Panel
Medium steampunk gears
Chained heart frame
Limited Edition word
Small steampunk gears

I am really loving the look of adding a couple pieces of raw chipboard, as well as
treated chipboard throughout my page..  & this page is a perfect example of this!!
I have used the smaller Chained heart frame which I have left raw!
Limited Edition word has a couple of coats of gesso....

The Medium & Small Steampunk gears have been inked black....

And with the 6x6 Retro Panel I cut into 4 smaller pieces, left two
pieces raw & the other two pieces have been heat embossed with a blue...

I REALLY love the end result....
Thanks for stopping by AND
 HAPPY crafting.... 😀
