'Dreamer of Dreams' by Emma Zappone

Hello all you glorious 2Crafty friends!
Emma with you today and I have a 10x10" layout to share.
I have been loving the monochromatic feels lately when I create and so this page is full of pink shades.

I have used all sorts of chippy for this one, 5 different pieces are featured.....

ATC Scissors
Foliage set 9
Foliage set 10
Mini Checkerboard pieces
Irish Knot border

I have tucked and layered these pieces with my paper and flower elements.

I started with the Irish Knot border as I wanted something delicate but would go with a small amount of grunge.
I painted this with a pink acrylic and then applied pink emboss powder to give it a simple shine.

Both the Foliage pieces were painted first with acrylic, keeping it simple by painting it either white or pink and then applying the emboss powder over the top.
With the Foliage set 9 pieces I added a 2 tone effect with a chunky white emboss and the pink emboss.

The mini Checkerboard pieces were covered with a thick white chunky white emboss powder. I wanted these to be really white to stand out amongst all the pink layers and give more textural dimension.

This same white emboss was added to the pair of scissors, that I place delicately on top of the flower as one of the main focal features.

I hope this page inspires you a little today and I look forward to catching you all again in the new month.

Till then, Stay Crafty, Em xx

Your Crazy is showing - with Emma Zappone

Hello, Emma with you all today.
Today is a share that's a little quirky with bold colours and plenty of black accents.

These are the chipboard pieces used.....
Aztec flowers set1
Mini checkerboard pieces
Mini Branches

With such a colourful background I knew that Black would be the best contrast. So that's what I did.
All the chipboard pieces were painted in black Gesso to start with.

The checkerboard pieces didn't have any other medium added, the flat black colour was a great feel to the background work and tags.

This beautiful Aztec flower is so stunning so I wanted to add just a little colour to it. I added a light dusting of Distress Oxide to it, in the same colour as the edges of the tags.

The branch also stayed black but I drew fake stitch lines around the edges to create that interest and stand out a little more from the background.

I hope that today's share inspires you a little.

Have a great week everyone.

Em xx

"Escape" - Em's August share

Hi 2Crafty friends,
Emma here today to share my first creation for the month of August.
I used 4 different pieces of chipboard for this creation.

And here is how I used them......

I had fun getting a little messy with this one. Letting the ink drip down my page
and seeing the different shades of colour come through the distress oxide.

My chipboard elements were simply 'inked' with distress oxides and then
sprayed with a resist spray to get a different finish on them.

The 'escape' title piece I left just inked with no other finish on it.

Same with the Tiny frame, I left it inked only. I love these frames, I chose to
cut this one in half to use in 2 places rather then use them as a frame in full.

If you look closely you can see the dots the resist spray creates on the chippy.
I love the slight grunge feel it gives, plus a slight sheen too.

I hope the colours and chippy inspires you to create and I will see you later in
the month with another share showcasing the epic 2crafty chippy.

Em xx

Wander Aimlessly- with Emma

Hi 2Crafty beauties,
Emma here with you on the blog today.
Today I’m sharing a layout that excites the traveler or the wanna be traveler (thats be me).
I long for the need to escape, find new adventures and breathe in the air of excitement. I found
the image I used on Pinterest and it made me want to explore, dare I say to great heights 😂😂

"Adventure"

So I couldn’t adventure physically so I did on my page instead.
My adventure made me play with Red, not a colour I usually
am drawn to but I did love the feel of it on the page.

The chipboard pieces I chose this time I kept simple to stand out.
So I opted to only paint them.

I used a Dina Wakley acrylic paint for the checkerboard chippy.
A distress oxide for the title so that it had a different shade and
for the arrows and flourish I used a Dylusions ink spray.

I loved the vibrancy of the red bouncing off the blue and white just like lady in the image.
And wow those chipboard pieces are just perfect!
Here are the pieces I used...

It’s been a joy to wander through my blog post with you today and I
look forward to when our paths meet again.
Em xx
