May Shares by Stéphanie Papin

Hi everyone,
Stéphanie with you today to share a new layout made using some 2Crafty chippies.
Once again it's my little girl  that is in the spotlight here. I  find only inspiration
with  the photos of my children. For me it is not  easy to scrap  with other photos !
Personally, I find it is always easy  to begin  my  layout when I see such  beautiful
photos that remind me of a special memory, and with  2 CRAFTY CHIPBOARD,
it's always a delight and easy to begin a new layout.
There are so  beautiful  long and short titles to choose from.

    "Crazy About You"

2Crafty Products Used

For this layout I  would like to  work  on the center of my page so I  have trimmed
some of the chipboards so  that they were just the right length, and they don't take
too much space to the left or right !

The 'Artdeco Border' is long enought to be used several  times for other projects.
I  decided to  cut out the chipboard and to  keep two parts  and you  can see  above,
there are still enough to  work  on other projects !

This is the beautiful  title when I  received it . I just decided to separate
the last line. I placed the last word 'YOU' a little more to the left than on the
original model because for my layout  I did not want a diagonal title. I explain
this just to say well, it is very easy to cut out the words to suit your layout.

All my chipboards are covered with gesso. I  would like a sweet layout, so I found that
the white color was appropriate. Only on the title, I added a little light ink, it's
discreet,  but not too visible.
I also used  two leaves from the 'Leafy Silhouettes' .

These leaves are very interesting when we use flowers on our projects ! It's not the first  time
I have  used these leaves, and I  find that the design is so  fine that it's very sumptuous.

Some more close ups showing how wonderful these chippie pieces look.

As a  'final'  touch in my project, I used seed beads that I stuck here and there and some
of the seed beads are also stuck on the chipboards too.

I hope my layout today has inspired you & thanks for stopping by !

YOU MAKE ME HAPPY ... by Stéphanie Papin

Hello eveyone,  Stéphanie back with you today, and as always  I am so  happy  to  share
my new layout made with some of the new chippies !

Today I  have changed up my style a little with this layout. I  had this beautiful photo
of my  daughter and I  made some changes to the colors with a photo editor.  I 've given it
a vintage appearance.  So from these colors of the photo and from my normal style,
 I worked  with vintage colors.

I  must confess, before starting to work on a layout,  I must be inspired by  my  photo,
if not, I can' t work! It is essential for meWhen I have a picture that I like, I look at all angles
and after a while, I discover details that help me to build my layout.

Here for example, my daughter twirls  her hair in her hand,  as if to make loops. I see an idea
of movement. I was attracted by this Jeremy's vine chipboard. I used this chipboard
as a central element of my page.

http://2crafty.com.au/craft_chipboard/jeremys-vines-unit-p-1328.html

Then I looked for other elements. These Bubble Clumps chipboard also remind me of movement: Small circles remind me of a movement that turns; so I added this chipboard over the previous one.

Next I worked on the left side as well. I wanted  to place something here that reminded  me of  a brick wall.  (the wall  that I see behind my  daughter). I just wanted to add something that
  reminds me of a texture.

Next up I have chosen  a title that suited.

There is an amazing choice on the 2Crafty website. This one is very interesting
It's  long and with a very nice fontI chose to cut into it in two &  place it on top, and bottom.
I think it looks  harmonious done this way.

My chipboards here are all covered with gesso and once dry, I applied some liquid ink.
This is just sooo easy to do.

I hope you enjoy this new layout!

ESCAPE by Stéphanie PAPIN

Hello eveyone !

Today I have the pleasure of sharing  my new creation with you, which I created
with some of the beautiful 2Crafty chippies!
Each time I work with  my 2Crafty chippies, I feel inspired, because each
piece of  chipboard is a precious embellishment.

This month, I decided to work with something different!
Here is a home decor canvas that will have a special place in my home!

I didn't want to work with a photo this time, I needed a change!
So I choose  a beautiful picture that would fit in the beautiful  little resin frame,
and it served as my main element in my canvas.

So I decided to build my canvas around this element. Looking at the picture and the thin dainty branch, I was then drawn to the "Leafy Rounds", with their delicate and thin branches and berry
like bits and thought that they matched the image in the picture.

To complete  the work on my canvas, I decided to use some geometric elements that
would be an extention of the resin frame.

And what a pleasure for me to discover the "Bubble grid panel".
Yes, this was  also  a great element for my canvas, because I find with this chipboard
right angles that remind me of the right angle from  the frame, and at the same time,
the small  bubbles in the grid remind the berries.... with some imagination!

I wanted to make a very bright canvas because I find that the light inspires serenity.
First of all my mixed media work on this canvas is made with light colors.
I decided to paint my chipboard with a white color.  Here I diluted white gesso
with some water and I painted my chippies with this texture.
Just my  title "Escape"  has been left natural, I needed to have some contrast.

To remind me of the main picture in the centre, I decided to add some big India ink drops.

Here and below are some close-ups, where you can see these beautiful chipboards !

I hope  that you like my canvas work without a photo!

Hope it helps to inspire you and maybe try a Canvas using some beautiful chipboard.

TREASURE
by Stephanie Papin

HELLO everyone !

Today I want to share a layout with you, & yes once again it is a very girly one !

I choose a photo of my daughter, and by looking at this photo, I was
particularly inspired by the nature in the background.
With this large choice of chipboard, I was at the first time inspired by the
flourish designs. As always, I love all ornemental designs with very fine detail,
and with  2 Crafty chipboards, I can always find THE ONE that I need for my project !
Often I like to compose with the chipboard. I like to superimpose the chipboard
together so that the result is interesting too!
Here, by layering up my chipboard, I wanted to create a sort of flower look.
Of course, we need some imagination  !

This ornamental frame is ideal to layer a title like this little word. Its place was obviously here!

I used my white gelato to add colour on the frame and on the chippie leaf. And after applying the
gelato, I continue to add  a touch of white with liquid ink and a small touch of peach.
I 've left the title natural because it looks better natural on a white  background.

I'm always impressed to see such delicate detail on some of the chipboard pieces.
This is impressive to see how fine the details can be, less than a millimetre, and  it is
still very strong ! I always find this fascinating.
I hope you like  this layout, and perhaps you will find some other ideas to
  mix your chipboards together too!

See you  next month !

A Winter Landscape
CANVAS
by Stéphanie Papin

Hi my dear 2 CRAFTY CHIPBOARD friends  !
Stéphanie here with you today to spend some time before our Christmas Eve.
I am happy to be here with you to share my December project.

The year has passed so quickly, and December also!
I must say I'm pretty excited today about the holiday season, it's always a wonderful
time, and I love it.

In December I feel good, there is Christmas, children gifts to think, to buy,  the Christmas
tree to decorate,  the Christmas decorations in the house, (... also my birthday _ ^ ^) and
especially a winter and joyful atmosphere that I love!

(Scroll down for a full product list)
So for December, how can we not scrap a winter project? It is almost impossible!
Everything around us reminds and inspires us of this!
So today I'm her to share this winter landscape canvas.

I worked on a 3D support, a canvas, it's great to work on this support.
The basis of my project, I was inspired by this little birdhouse that I found,
it is  very pretty.  It is a decoration that I found in a shop among the Christmas decorations.
  I liked
this birdhouse a lot because these colors are very interesting. This white reminds
me of the snow in winter and the pieces of wood  remind me of the color of our chipboard!

Therefore I chose to leave the chipboard in its natural raw state. I find the
natural look reminds me of  the color of the wood of the box.

Among the big collection of chipboard available on the 2Crafty site, there was this
floral design that I really liked  for this project because it reminds me the flakes.
It is really original! It is so delicate! It is impressive to see the details of this so fine
 chipboard. It's great!

Here on this floral chipboard, I've just added some touch of white gelato, dry without water.
It's beautiful and a little grainy.

I used one of Mini Words from Set 1, a short word, and a word that reminds me of the
atmosphere of joyous season!
These little words are always interesting, and I use  them a lot!

To provide more detail, I have added some of the Circular Panel here and there, cutting off
the required amount and adding where needed, I love how easy it is cut up, gives you more
freedom in how to use it.

A few close-ups for inspiration and so see the details - I hope you enjoyed my project!

For now, I would like to wish you a very happy Christmas Eve, and good times
with family and friends this holiday season.
I will be back next year with some delightful new projects!
 See you soon everyone!

Beautiful Girls by Stéphanie

Hello everyone !

It's time for me to come and share my new work with my new 2CRAFTY CHIPBOARD!
I was excited to use the chipboard again and I hope that you will like my use
of these beautiful embellishments.
I have two daughters, and it is a pleasure to work with such beautiful photos.
Sharing a really beautiful moment, that I was able to capture on film,
I have been waiting to do something special with this beautiful photo of my two girls.
So when I discovered this 2Crafty title "Beautiful Girls", I didn't hesitate to work with it.
I really like to see  the many little words/titles that  there are in store at
2 Crafty Chipboard, it's amazing how much choice there is !

So, it's now time  for me to share this girly layout :

"Beautiful Girls"

2Crafty Chipboard  Used :

To create this layout , I was inspired by this background. I really like the structure of the background paper, I mean, a group of flowers at the top, in the center, and  a fine border of flower at the bottom, I knew already that I would like to create in a vertical direction so that my work had continuity with the paper.

Love these Shrubs, so easy to add to anything, & adds a nice, soft touch to the title.

On this layout, all my chipboards have been treated in the same way. I choose not to add several colours on my chipboards because there is already a lot of colours on my layout. There was no need to add more colors, I think it would have been too busy.

I choose to use my white gelato  for this time. It's the first time I have used gelatos on my chipboards, and I confess, it was very pleasant to work with as the chipboard loves the gelatos
The gelatos are fat, so they slide well on the top of chipboard, the result is clear. After applying the white gelato I added a little water with a brush to slightly dilute the white and spread the colour.
I repeated this procedure several times.
I deliberately chose to apply my white gelato irregularly and not covered the entire piece of chipboard, as it gives a lovely effect when the water is added.

When I received my new DT kit, I found this beautiful circular panel. It's great, really great! I decided to cut up this panel and I selected some of rounds to stick them seperatly on my layout. However, I tried to work in a vertical direction, which was my design plan from the beginning.
I did not hesitate either to stick some circles over the embellishments, as if they had been
 thrown over.

Perfect title for my gorgeous girls.

Some close ups of the Circular Panel, which I have cut up and scattered around the flowers.

I hope you have enjoyed my work that I have shared today and look forward to seeing you
next month with more 2Crafty inspiration.

See you all soon!
