January Inspiration by Tammy Klingner

Good morning 2 Crafty lovelies!
I'm excited to be back again in 2018, sharing my 2Crafty Chipboard creations with you.
Let's get started......first up I have a creation called..

 "A Day at the Beach"

This is what a New Year's Eve looks like in Australia..... a warm night spent
at the beach with family playing cricket.  Perfect!
I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
"Day at the Beach title"
"6 inch Revolution Frames"
"Circular Panel"
"Hessian Patch Panels"

I cut one of the "Hessian Patch Panels" in half and then applied white gesso.
I popped this behind my photo.

I also applied white gesso to a small circle frame from the "6 inch Revolution Frames".
I added this on top of my photo, to frame the focus of it.

I then added the "Day at the Beach title".
I love the mix of fonts in this....the print mixed with the script.
I applied a few layers of  Distress Inks in various colours  to the title until I achieved the
colour I was after - I don't have purple so I kept applying teals and pinks until the right
purple appeared. I love the splodginess (is that a word?) of this. I think this adds to
the beachy water theme.

I added some circular stamping to my background, and cut a few circles from the
"Circular Panel" to  add to the background, giving some texture and interest.
I like how the circles go with the water/beachy theme too.

To colour them, I added gesso and then couldn't find my brown ink,
so I created my own using coffee!!
When I create, I don't like to spend a lot of time searching for something, so I get
creative and work with what I have.....so on this occasion, coffee it is!!!

I love all the layers on my layout......I adore the texture and interest that Chipboard gives.

A page celebrating summer in January in Australia!

My second creation is titled...

"You Shine"

A layout celebrating my kids academic achievements last year.....super proud of them.
I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
"You Shine Title"
"ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars"
"Number Panels"
"Pine Needle Wreath"
"Crazy Stitched Panel"

I began by trimming down the "Crazy Stitched Panel" and painting them black.
These formed part of my background.

I painted the "Number Panels" black and then swiped them with some Finnabair Opal Magic Acrylic Paint in Aqua/Rose.  Over black this gives a lovely teal metallic finish.
I applied it randomly as I wanted it to have a grungy finish to go with my background.

I painted a "Pine Needle Wreath" in white gesso.  These are a new 2Crafty product,
and they are gorgeous.....not just for Christmas time!  I poked this behind my photo.

I added the "You Shine" title on top of my photo, and coloured it using Distress Inks.
I love the matt finish and the grungy look it gives the chipboard.

Finally I added some stars from the "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars".
I again used Distress Inks and a few swipes of the Opal Magic paint,
and placed them randomly on the layout.
Well that's it for me for January.....I will be back next month to
share some more of my 2Crafty Chipboard creations.
I hope this has inspired you to get creative.

September Layouts By Valerie Ouellet

"Love"

 Hello everyone!
I'm back with two more layouts for September!
For my first creation, I tried to use scraps of chipboards (Butterflies) as a stencil.
I like the 3D effect. I used heavy gesso to fill the butterflies, then I sprinkled
embossing powder. You can also add sparkles.

"ATC words #1" are so easy to use. They offer a lot of small simple words
that are easily integrated on pages.
I only added an acrylic paint on the chippie.

I added "Leafy Shrub Set #2" colored with paint only, but I decorated it with
small ornaments such as sequins and glass beads .

"Summer Fun"

For my second layout, I used a 6x6 chipboard panel ("Circular Panel") that I cut
into several pieces. "Asst arrows" is one of my favorite chipboard. I only
added acrylic paint and some white pencil on the arrows.

For my title, I used "World Circle Set".

Thanks and see you soon!

A Winter Landscape
CANVAS
by Stéphanie Papin

Hi my dear 2 CRAFTY CHIPBOARD friends  !
Stéphanie here with you today to spend some time before our Christmas Eve.
I am happy to be here with you to share my December project.

The year has passed so quickly, and December also!
I must say I'm pretty excited today about the holiday season, it's always a wonderful
time, and I love it.

In December I feel good, there is Christmas, children gifts to think, to buy,  the Christmas
tree to decorate,  the Christmas decorations in the house, (... also my birthday _ ^ ^) and
especially a winter and joyful atmosphere that I love!

(Scroll down for a full product list)
So for December, how can we not scrap a winter project? It is almost impossible!
Everything around us reminds and inspires us of this!
So today I'm her to share this winter landscape canvas.

I worked on a 3D support, a canvas, it's great to work on this support.
The basis of my project, I was inspired by this little birdhouse that I found,
it is  very pretty.  It is a decoration that I found in a shop among the Christmas decorations.
  I liked
this birdhouse a lot because these colors are very interesting. This white reminds
me of the snow in winter and the pieces of wood  remind me of the color of our chipboard!

Therefore I chose to leave the chipboard in its natural raw state. I find the
natural look reminds me of  the color of the wood of the box.

Among the big collection of chipboard available on the 2Crafty site, there was this
floral design that I really liked  for this project because it reminds me the flakes.
It is really original! It is so delicate! It is impressive to see the details of this so fine
 chipboard. It's great!

Here on this floral chipboard, I've just added some touch of white gelato, dry without water.
It's beautiful and a little grainy.

I used one of Mini Words from Set 1, a short word, and a word that reminds me of the
atmosphere of joyous season!
These little words are always interesting, and I use  them a lot!

To provide more detail, I have added some of the Circular Panel here and there, cutting off
the required amount and adding where needed, I love how easy it is cut up, gives you more
freedom in how to use it.

A few close-ups for inspiration and so see the details - I hope you enjoyed my project!

For now, I would like to wish you a very happy Christmas Eve, and good times
with family and friends this holiday season.
I will be back next year with some delightful new projects!
 See you soon everyone!

Beautiful Girls by Stéphanie

Hello everyone !

It's time for me to come and share my new work with my new 2CRAFTY CHIPBOARD!
I was excited to use the chipboard again and I hope that you will like my use
of these beautiful embellishments.
I have two daughters, and it is a pleasure to work with such beautiful photos.
Sharing a really beautiful moment, that I was able to capture on film,
I have been waiting to do something special with this beautiful photo of my two girls.
So when I discovered this 2Crafty title "Beautiful Girls", I didn't hesitate to work with it.
I really like to see  the many little words/titles that  there are in store at
2 Crafty Chipboard, it's amazing how much choice there is !

So, it's now time  for me to share this girly layout :

"Beautiful Girls"

2Crafty Chipboard  Used :

To create this layout , I was inspired by this background. I really like the structure of the background paper, I mean, a group of flowers at the top, in the center, and  a fine border of flower at the bottom, I knew already that I would like to create in a vertical direction so that my work had continuity with the paper.

Love these Shrubs, so easy to add to anything, & adds a nice, soft touch to the title.

On this layout, all my chipboards have been treated in the same way. I choose not to add several colours on my chipboards because there is already a lot of colours on my layout. There was no need to add more colors, I think it would have been too busy.

I choose to use my white gelato  for this time. It's the first time I have used gelatos on my chipboards, and I confess, it was very pleasant to work with as the chipboard loves the gelatos
The gelatos are fat, so they slide well on the top of chipboard, the result is clear. After applying the white gelato I added a little water with a brush to slightly dilute the white and spread the colour.
I repeated this procedure several times.
I deliberately chose to apply my white gelato irregularly and not covered the entire piece of chipboard, as it gives a lovely effect when the water is added.

When I received my new DT kit, I found this beautiful circular panel. It's great, really great! I decided to cut up this panel and I selected some of rounds to stick them seperatly on my layout. However, I tried to work in a vertical direction, which was my design plan from the beginning.
I did not hesitate either to stick some circles over the embellishments, as if they had been
 thrown over.

Perfect title for my gorgeous girls.

Some close ups of the Circular Panel, which I have cut up and scattered around the flowers.

I hope you have enjoyed my work that I have shared today and look forward to seeing you
next month with more 2Crafty inspiration.

See you all soon!
