"memories"
Layout and video by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I’m always so happy to share a new project with you!
Today I’m sharing a brand new scrapbook layout, and I also created a video tutorial to
 show you the full process.
This page features beautiful chipboards, especially the “pointed-doily-frames”, which I find
incredibly romantic and perfect to highlight newborn photos.

The pictures are recent and show my grandson Milan, just a few days after his birth, with his mom.

"memories"

I made a video tutorial that you can watch HERE.

The chipboard used:

As always, I start by applying a layer of white gesso to my background. This helps prepare
the surface and gives a softer finish once the inks are added.
To embellish my chipboards, I used Distress Oxide inks, applying them in light layers to
keep a natural and vintage look.

For the “pointed-doily-frames”, I started with Antique Linen as a base color over the entire frame.
Then I added Frayed Burlap on both the inside and outside edges to create depth and bring out the details.

Finally, I added a few touches of Vintage Photo in some areas, mainly in the raised parts and small details, to add contrast while keeping a soft romantic finish.

For the “dainty-foliage” chipboards, I also used Distress Oxides, keeping the colors light and delicate: Antique Linenfirst, then small touches of Victorian Velvet and Rustic Wilderness to create subtle tones that match the paper collection beautifully.

When it came to the design, I first positioned my photos to create a balanced composition.
I used three frames to build a triangle visual design:
the main photo in the large frame at the top as the focal point,
a smaller frame at the bottom left,
and a larger frame at the bottom right.
This arrangement helps guide the eye across the entire page.

To add dimension, I glued some elements flat and raised others with 3D foam tape, creating layers and depth. I tucked the foliage and paper embellishments underneath the main frame, mostly on the left side, to fill the space while keeping the layout light and airy.

The word “memories” was inked the same way as the frames, using the same colors to keep everything cohesive. I love how beautiful it looks and how perfectly it highlights the emotion of this layout. I placed it in a way that connects the top frame to the bottom frames, reinforcing the overall structure of the page. To finish, I added a few small details like butterflies and shiny accents to bring a soft final touch.

This layout is created with the gorgeous 49 and Market – “Nostalgic Memories” paper
collection, which I absolutely love for its vintage feel and soft colors.

If you’d like to see how this layout was created, I invite you to watch the video tutorial.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy the project!

'Spring Delight'
Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share some spring delight with you!
I have created a set of two cards
to celebrate spring arriving!

2Crafty products used:

For my first card, I have used one of the large 'Flower Doilies',
that I have embossed in white, for the centre of my card.

I have also used one of the words from the 'Mini Word Set 3',
also embossed in white, and layered with my elements.

I have then used one of the branches from the 'Foliage Set 11',
again embossed in white and added to my layers.

I love how the bright white pops against the yellow.

For my second card, I have used one of the 'Pointed Doily Frames',
embossed in white, and layered with some sunflower elements.

I have again used another of title words from the 'Mini Word Set 3',
embossed in white and added to my card.

And another of the branches from the 'Foliage Set 11'.

I love the bright sunny feeling of these cards,
perfect for spring!

Until next time!

"Enjoy the Journey"
Layout and tutorial video by Marie Sabatier

Hello faithful friends of 2Crafty.

Like every beginning of the month, I am happy to meet you again to present
my new inspiration.
A spring layout with lots of chipboard.

"Enjoy the Journey"

I made a video tutorial that you can watch HERE

The 2Craftychipboard used:

- Enjoy the Journey
- Iron Gates
- Pointed Doily Frames 1
- Addy's-Butterflies

Always the same process, I add a layer of white gesso on each chipboard.
Which I then embellished with Lindy's Gang "Bratwurst Brown" embossing powder.

I start by placing the "Iron Gates" chipboard, it is splendid and gives all its
importance to my layout.
It adds texture to the background and is the focal of my arrangement.

I love layering chipboards and embellishments to give relief.

For me the photo is very important that's why by surrounding it with this
magnificent frame in chipboard it remains the essential.

"Enjoy the Journey" because my granddaughter had just had her hair cut!
It was necessary to immortalize!

Thank you again for your loyalty and see you tomorrow for a new inspiration.

"This GIRL"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

We are already in September, the month of the start of the school year here in France
and the health crisis is unfortunately still very present.

For my first layout this month, I chose to do a vintage and romantic layout with this photo
of my little girl.

"This GIRL"

The 2Crafty Chipboards used:

- Word This GIRL
- Pointed Doilly Frames 1
- Parisian Border

To start, I applied a coat of white gesso on each chipboard.

I embellished "Parisian Border" chipboard with metallic "Heather Hills"
wax in a single finger coat.

And arranged directly on the bottom of my page.
I proceeded in the same way for the chipobards "Pointed Doilly Frames".

I am a little hesitant to keep the same color to work the chipboards but by adding
a little "Old White" mat wax it allowed me to obtain a little contrast and light.

I embellished the title with Lindy's gang "brown" embossing powder
which I then filed down to obtain an aged effect.

I love framing my photos with these beautiful chipboards.

I also like when they impose themselves on a layout.

That's it, it's over for me, I'll see you soon.

Good scrap to you!

"Pretty As A Picture"
Happy Birthday Marjorie
by Jenny J

Hello everyone!

Here is my last Layout for April.

"Pretty As A Picture"

Here are the lovely 2Crafty chippies that I've used on this layout....

*Pretty as a picture (w00302)
*Pointed doily frames (fr0102)
*Decorative dangling bits set 1 (m00813)
*Lattice leaves (m00589)

I chose to alter the "Pointed doily frames" with black gesso and waxes.
You can have a look also on the Lattice leaves" on the left:
they are treated with a brown spray from Lindy's stamp gang.
You can see more of them below.

Next, "Pretty as a picture" is my title.
That chippie is embossed with an ivory powder and
displayed over the smaller doily frame.

Finally, under the focal point, you can see those gorgeous
"Decorative dangling bits set 1" pieces
and all of them are simply  heat-embossed also.

I hope you will like this layout and it will give you some inspiration.

Stay safe !
