"Happy Birthday" Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

I'm happy to be back today to share my second inspiration for the month of July with you. 

For this layout, I used the beautiful Glimmer and Glee collection from 49 and Market to document my granddaughter celebrating her birthday with her younger brother by her side. The soft colours of this collection were the perfect match for such a joyful celebration, while the 2Crafty Chipboard pieces added just the right amount of texture and elegance to the design.

As always, I started by applying a coat of white gesso to all of my chipboard pieces. Once dry, I blended Distress Oxide Frayed Burlap over the surface to create a soft, vintage finish. I then added subtle touches of 49 and Market inks to coordinate with the papers and flowers, before finishing everything with a light dry brush of white gesso to soften the colours even more.

To frame my photos, I chose the Love You Balloons. I coloured each balloon in soft pastel shades so they would blend beautifully with the collection while adding a festive feel to the page. Positioned on either side of the layout, they naturally draw the eye towards the photos.

To enhance the floral cluster, I tucked the Leafy Twig Branches underneath the flowers. Their delicate design extends the composition beautifully, adding movement and depth without taking attention away from the photos. A few subtle layers of colour were all they needed to complement the soft palette of the collection.

To finish my page, I used several words from the Card Word Set 1 to create the title and balance the overall design. I love how versatile this set is, making it easy to find just the right sentiment for any project while remaining elegant and understated.

Floral Cards with Lisa Amiet

 

Hello all! It's Lisa here today to share some
floral themed cards with you.

 

2Crafty Products used:

 

 

 

 

For my first card, I used one of the 'Frame Doilies',
that I have embossed in a bright white to stand out against the dark background.

 

 

I also used some of the 'Grid Bits',

again embossed in white,

that I cut up and added to the corners of my card.

 

 

I then used one of 'Mini Title Stick Set 5',

that I have left raw and layered over my doily.  

 

 

For my second card, I used another piece of 'Grid Bits',

again finished in white and adhered to the bottom corner. 

 

 

I then used one of the 'Tiny Frame Kathleen's',

also embossed in white,

and I then used one of the sentiments from 

the 'Card Word Set 1', layered over the frame.

 

 

For my corner pieces, I used two of the 'Mini Flourish Bits',

layered with some florals.

'Weddings and all things love!' with Lisa Amiet

 

Hello all!
It's Lisa here today to share some wedding inspiration with you.
I have a couple of weddings coming up and have created these two cards...

2Crafty products used:

  

   

For my first card, I started by building up my paper layers.

I then used some of the florals to build up a cluster on one side.

I have used a dove, in white, and a couple of hearts from the
'Valentine's Theme Set',
which I have finished in rose gold wax.

I have the gorgeous 'Wedding Framed Title',

that I have embossed white, as the main sentiment for my card.

I have also used a couple of the 'Lattice Leaves', 

also embossed white, among my layers of florals. 

I love that pop of white you get with this gorgeous title.

For my second card, I used one of the 'Parisian Borders',

also finished with rose gold wax.

I have again used some of the hearts from the 'Valentine's Theme Set',

again finished with rose gold wax.

For my sentiment, I have used some of the words from the

'Card Word Set 1'.

I am really happy with how these cards turned out. 

Hopefully, our newly married couples will too!

'Vintage Cards' with Lisa Amiet

 

Hello all! It's Lisa here today to share some 2Crafty lovin'.
I have created a pair of cards to inspire you.

2Crafty Products used:

I have left all of my chipboard raw for these cards,

 as I felt that they went with the rustic feel of the papers, ... and I just love raw chipboard lol

For my first card, I have used some of the 'Fencing Wire Panel', 

that I have cut into pieces and added into the layers of my card. 

I have also used one of the tabs from the 'Corners & Name Plates' set. 

I have added one of the 'Mini Branches', tucked into the top of my card.

Along with one of the sentiments from the 'Card Word Set 2'. 

For my second card, I have gone for the same feel but have used different chipboard elements. 

In the background, I have used some of the 'Grid Bits' in among my layers.

I have also used one of the 'Scissors' from the set, as the main feature of this card. 

I have added in some foliage from 'Foliage Set 6',

and another sentiment from 'Card Word Set 1'. 

I really love how these turned out and I am sure they will be loved

 when they are given to people on their special day.

Time to Celebrate cards with Lisa Amiet

Hello 2Crafty fans!

It's Lisa back on the blog today.

I have been busy creating and have come up with 

a trio of cards to inspire you this month.

2Crafty Products used:

  

  

   

For my first card I have used a variety of chipboard pieces,

which I have mostly left raw. 

I have used one of the 'Card Word Circles - Happy Birthday',

which has been slightly tucked into my layers.

I have used one of the flourish leaves from the 'Foliage Set 6',

along with one of the 'Lattice Leaves' which I have finished in an off white.

For my second card, I have used some of the 'Grid Bits',

which have also been finished in off white.

 

For my flourish, I have used one of the 'Flourish Adornment Set 7',

tucked in next to my flower.

For my title, I have used words from the 'Card Word Set 1',

that I have adhered to the top and bottom of my card. 

For my final card, I have again used one of the

 'Foliage Set 6' tucked in next to my flowers. 

I have used one of the 'Frame Ornate Round',

to frame my butterfly.

For the title, I have again used one of the sentiments

from the 'Card Word Set 1'.
