December Layouts by Sandra Bernard

''Christmas Time''

Which emblem makes you feel more like Christmas than the fir tree itself?

2 Crafty Chipboards I used:
-Christmas Time-title
-Corner sweet Holly
-Avery vines
-Fleur Arrows
-Mini flourish bits

I chose to place Avery vines, Mini flourish bits and Corner sweet holly to create
a fir tree. I embossed under heat these chipboards in certain places to create of the texture.

I also put of the black distress on the sides of these chipboards

I embossed black Fleur arrows to create a focal point at the top of the fir tree,
as a replacement of traditional star.

I also embossed in black ''Christmas time'' and I then wiped some ink
in silver on the edges of the title.

''Merry Christmas''

Christmas also means wishes, cards. & 2crafty Chipboards offer an
abundance  of chipboards to make this happen.

2crafty chipboards used:
-holly leaves
-Merry Christmas script card pack
-Retro Xmas trees
-stellar snowflakes
-Winter twig branches

On the first card, I embossed the small balls on the end of branches in red and I stuck
on some, red dots. I left the holly natural and I painted the sentiment in white.

For the second card, I put some greenery under the winter twig branch and
I embossed a stellar snowflake to put on the top of the ''tree''.

To decorate, I put badges and Birds in cork.

I really wish you Merry Christmas time!!!

Canvas & Journal Page
by Athanasia

'LOVE'
 Tiny Canvas

Hello 2Crafty friends!
Today I'm sharing a tiny canvas I created for a friend of mine as a present.

Before we get started though......

Please remember to become a blog follower & leave a blog comment to
be eligible to go in our monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack.

My canvas only measures 8x7 cm and I really love how small and cute it looks.
Even though it is so small I managed to use 7 chipboard pieces and 2 metal pieces
to create a dimensional cluster like a pyramid!
This is how it looked before I altered the chipboards and paint it all.

In order to alter the chipboard pieces I used H2Os watercolors and silks by ColourArte
and black embossing powder by Lindy's Stamp Gang.

First I created a mixed media background and then I started gluing all the
embellishments with 3D Gloss Gel.

I really love how this  mixed media pyramid looks!
Here are some closeups with details...

'Walk Alone In Darkness'

I like making pages with quotes I love in my black journal.
For this one I used some small butterflies of the Butterflies set to represent
the crowd and one big Marianne's Butterfly to be main character of the quote.
I also used some pieces of the Circle Lace Panel - I think it matches so
 beautifully with the butterflies.

First I glued all the chipboard pieces on the page and then I painted them with
black and white Gesso to create a light and dark shading all over the page...

For the small butterflies I used ColourArte sprays to color them and Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powders with stamps on them and also on the background to embody them on it.

For the big butterfly I used irridescent silks to color it. They really make the perfect paint for black surface. I also used a White UniBall pen to make some doodling on it and also write the quote.

Christmas Cards and Christmas Gifts
By Jennifer Snyder

Hello everyone.  Jennifer Snyder here today to showcase my December pieces.
I am showing a combination of Christmas pieces and Christmas gifts
( shhhhhh tell no one!  The kitty layout is a surprise for my sister who
adores her beautiful Maine Coon kitty.)

I took the photo of my sister's kitty in May on a visit to her house.
I picked the chipboard word "Cherish" for a few reasons.  The first
reason is that my sister lives 8 hours away and I do not get to see her often
 - nor do I get to visit her wonderful home.  My special treat was to drive my
parents to her house for a visit in May.  Oh my, I won't discuss the r
and a time to cherish always.

Second reason, my sister does indeed cherish her kitty like a beloved
family member.  Who doesn't , right?  We love our furry family.  The 2Crafty
title is perfect, or maybe I should say it's "purrrrrfect".

" Fluer Arrows"                    "Cherish Loopy Font"                   "Formal Flourish 1"

I really needed the chipboard to pop on this piece amidst the confusion. I painted all my chipboard pieces simple white.  I used the "Formal Flourish 1" chipboard design as a border for my kitty to rest upon.

I made this layout using the December kit from Flying Unicorns
It features Riddersholm papers this month and I found the colors
to be a great match for my photo of Kitty.

Here I added a gem to the " Fluer Arrows".

An overview of the focal point of the layout....

And once again, I used the "Formal Flourish 1" chipboard design as a
border for my kitty to rest upon.

Christmas Cards using 2Crafty

I made two quick Christmas cards.  The wonderful 2Crafty chipboard
creations make it super simple to pop a card together for the holidays.
Not a lot needed to make a card that will dazzle and wow your friends and family.

My first card used the "Holly Tree" chipboard piece.  I painted this gold,
then added fine embossing powder to give some sheen and sparkle.

Look how pretty the "Holly Tree" chipboard piece is.

This is my second Christmas card.  It's created using the darling 2 Crafty chipboard - "Blitzen"  which is a statement piece all it's own.  All I did to this
chipboard piece was ink it with a rich brown ink.  Simple.

2 Crafty chipboard - "Blitzen"
Look, Christmas cards do not need to be elaborate. Do not over think the
process but instead, let 2Crafty chipboard help do the work for you so you still
have time to shop and bake and finish all your holiday preparations.

Thanks for stopping by the 2Crafty blog. Stop by everyday to be dazzled by the techniques
and amazed by the styles of the entire team.
