Perfect as you are
by Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty friends!

Today I'd like to share a layout I made featuring the daughter of one of my besties.
Spring is in full bloom here and I find that the picture captured the warmth and joy that
we feel when we awaken from our long winter slumber.

"Perfect as you are"

I cut some parts of the "Leafy Shrub Set 1" to make it blend with the "Esther Vine". Then, on both, I applied two coats of honey ink and inked the borders in black.

For the "Chunky Dandelion" and "Whispy Dandelions", I used one coat of metallic red paint and inked the borders in black. For the title, "Perfect as you are", I applied some black-bronze embossing enamel.

For this layout, I used the following 2Crafty chipboards:

Esther Vine [M00497]
Leafy Shrub Set 1 [M00493]
Chunky dandelions [M00853]
Whispy dandelions [M00705]
Perfect as you are [W00589]

That's all for me today! I hope you enjoyed my creation and that it'll inspire you. I'll be back in a few weeks with more ideas to share with you! See you soon!

October Inspiration - Two Layouts PLUS TWO VIDEO TUTORIALS
By Mary Catt

''Happy''

Hello 2Crafty fans!
It's Mary here with you today and I have two layouts with video tutorials to share with you.
My first layout was made with lots of flowers, metal and wooden embellishments combined
with some beautiful chipboard pieces.
I have also made a VIDEO TUTORIAL with the procedure.

Esther Vine
Arrow Word Set 2
6" Circle Revolution Frames

Here are some close ups..

First, I made a mixed media background with modeling paste and a stencil and made some
random stamping. Then, I added color with the ''Bayou Boogie Gold'' and the
''Dark Chocolate Truffle'' Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.

While waiting everything to dry, I heat embossed the ''Circle Revolution Frame'' with the ''Orbit Olive Gold'' Lindy's embossing powder and the ''Esther Vine'' with the ''Bratwurst Brown'' powder.

The ''Happy'' title from the ''Arrow Word Set 2'' was also heat embossed

  with the ''Bratwurst Brown'' powder.

Finally, I added some plum glass beads and made some splatters
with 13arts Splash ink in white.

''Getaway''

My second layout is a grunge page created with lots of chipboards
along with some metal embellishments and flowers.
You can see the procedure on my VIDEO...

I based it on the ''Mixed Media & Art'' October challenge.

 Dreamcatchers
Film Strips Tiny
6" Clock Face Frames
Mini Travel Word Set 2
Flourish Adornment Set 4

And a closer look at the details...

I made a mixed media backgound with some stamping first and then heat embossed the pattern with the ''Bratwurst Brown'' Lindy's embossing powder. Then, I created more texture with modeling paste and a stencil, and I used the ''Cattail Copper Brown'' and the ''Dark Chocolate Truffle'' Lindy's sprays to add some color. Some black splatters was made with a splash ink.

I heat embossed the title from the ''Mini Travel Word Set 2'' and the ''Flourish Adornment Set 4'' with the ''Black Forest Black'' powder.

The ''Clock Face Frames'' chipboards were also heat embossed with the ''Midnight Gold'' powder and the ''Film Strips Tiny'' & ''Dreamcatcher'' chipboards with the ''Bratwurst Brown'' powder.

To finish, I added some copper glass glitter along with some bronze micro beads and made some splatters with white acrylic artists ink.

Well, that's all for today...

I hope I gave you some inspiration!

August Layouts PLUS a VIDEO
By Valérie Ouellet

"Love"

Hello everyone!
For this creation, I had fun with my embossing powders. I have also made a
STEP BY STEP VIDEO to demonstrate my creative process.

Click the arrow to view the video....

I use several gold embossing powders.
I like to put several layers of powders to make it more opaque.
I cut the chipboard "Angie's Vines" into several parts to include
them in several places on my layout.

For the "Film strip" chippie, I use a black embossing powder first,
then a gold metallic powder to create a worn effect.

With the "Love-title", I began with a gold powder and then a brilliant one.

  "Love Loopy Font"                            "Film Strips-Small"

"Capture"

For my second layout, I worked with very bright colors only with my acrylic paints.
I loved the little words from "Mini Word Set 1" and I used the word "capture"
as my title. I also added some of the little "Butterflies" that can be used anywhere.

I fell in love with the "Flamingos" that are really trendy. I then added a
beautiful foliage,  the "Esther Vine", to recall the nature and the summer pictures.
