"Handsome"
By Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty friends!

For my layout today I wanted to build around a photo of my pre-teen son showing me his true smile, something that is getting a bit as he's growing up! One moment he can be showing his newfound attitude and the next one he can be the sweetest human being on earth!

With this layout, I wanted to highlight these both sides of him, combining both soft and hard elements. It's one of my simplest layouts in recent times, but I think it really allowed the vibe to come through.

"Handsome".

On the smallest circle of the "6" Circle Revolution Frames", I applied red embossing ink an then applied black embossing ink on top. On the "Mini Tags", I applied gray ink roughly and then I traced the contour with black ink. For the title, "Handsome - script", I used gray pearl metallic paint.

On the "Stars", I applied black embossing powder roughly, then dabbed red embossing ink on top so the black and the original chipboard color would stay visible in certain parts. For the "Circular Panel", I used silver embossing powder.

In this layout, I used the following 2Crafty chipboards:
Mini Tags [m00363]
Circular Panel [m00462]
6" Circle Revolution Frames [66030]
Stars [m00265]
Handsome - script [w00511]

That's all for me today!
I will be back in a few weeks with more ideas to share with you.
Until then, have fun creating!

Tammy's October Shares
Plus a VIDEO TUTORIAL

Hello lovely 2 Crafty Chipboard fans.
Today I'm sharing with you my most recent creations.

My first page is titled:

'Loving These Moments'

It's a layout that celebrates my brother and his son.
I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard on this layout:
'Loving these Moments title'
'Chicken Barbed Wire - Small'
'Steampunk Gears - Small'
'Steampunk Gears - Medium'
'Chain Circle Frames'
I cut down the 'Chicken Wire Panel - small' and smeared Finnabair's Rust Paste in
Gold, Brown and Red randomly over it.  I just used my fingers.
I love the rust look and the texture this creates.
I then added some Silks Acrylic Glaze Paint in 'Ocean Wave'.
I love how this blue colour matches the blue in my photo so well.

I repeated this process on the 'Steampunk Gears - Small'
and the 'Steampunk Gears - Medium'.

I just love the rusty finish, especially with that metallic blue added in!

I used some of the 'negative' part of the chipboard from the 'Chain Circle Frames'.
I added it to the background, and painted it in black gesso for a bit of contrast.

Don't forget to look at the leftover bits from your chippy - they can be awesome!
They also make great stencils.

Can you tell I don't like to throw anything away?

I also applied black gesso to the 'Loving these Moments title'.

I just love the clusters and dimension that the chipboard gives my layout.

I love how many different options you have with chipboard - you can create
so many different finishes and so many different looks.
Don't these look just like metal?

I created a video tutorial so you can see how I created this page:
I hope you enjoy the video.

My second creation is titled:

'Magic Happens'

This layout is a fun one celebrating meeting the characters at Disneyland.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
'Magic Happens Title'
'Stars'
'ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars'
'Circular Panel'

I used white gesso and Dylusions Sprays to create the background.
I went with the teals and limes that are dominant in Goofy's suit.
I painted some of the 'Stars' and some of the tiny stars from the
'ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars' in a deep purple.
I like how this purple contrasts against the teal and lime.

I stamped them very randomly with some black archival ink to make them look a little more grungy.

I painted the 'Magic Happens title' in black.
I then went over the top of this, just on the 'Magic', with Clear Kindy Glitz.
I haven't used this product in years!!
It was fun to get it out and play with it again.
I love how the clear Kindy Glitz turns this gorgeous teal colour when applied to black.

I repeated the same process with the 'Circular Panel' and poked these randomly around my photos.

I wanted this layout to be fun to complement the story about 'goofying around'
 with Goofy at Disneyland.
I think the glitter finish really adds to the fun magical vibe.

It really is a gorgeous finish.

Well that's it from me for this month.

I will be back again very soon for some more sharing.

An Extra Share by Tammy Klingner

Thought I'd pop in today with a few bonus pages.
I recently was lucky enough to go on the amazing 10th and final
Escape2Create retreat in Port Lincoln, South Australia.
A weekend filled with creativity, inspiration, friendships, laughs and decadence!
So good for the soul.
I created these layouts whilst there, and of course they have used lots of my favourite
2Crafty Chipboard on them, so thought I'd share them here as well.
First up is:

"She Drives you Crazy"

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

"Alpha Set 1"
"ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars"
"Circle Stack"
"Circular Panel"

I painted some of the "Circle Stack" in black, and some in white.

I trimmed some circles from the "Circular Panel" and painted these white.

I added these to my page, ensuring some were underneath my paper stack and towards
one side of my layout to create movement, and draw the eye into the layout.

I also painted the letters from the "Alpha Set 1" for my CRAZY title in white too.

I really like how the white and the black pop off the page.

I painted some of the stars from the "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars" in a
vibrant deep blue and also placed these randomly around the circles.

I also created a layout titled..

"Amazing"

For this layout I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

"Triangle Set"
"Mini Word Set 1"

I added a bright fun paper to the "Assorted Triangles" and cut them out.
I also traced around a few of these triangles with a pen.
This gave the page a 'fun' feel which is perfect with my photos and the story of my layout.

I painted the word 'amazing' from the "Mini Word Set 1" in a silver as I'd used a fun embellishment in silver, yet hadn't used any other silver on the layout, so doing this tied them together.

I like the fun feel I created on this layout.

My final layout for today is titled...
"Happiness"

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

"Line Words - Happiness borders"
"Tiny Triangle Clusters"
"Triangle Clusters"

I painted the happiness title from the "Line Words - Happiness Border"
black and ran this down the length of my page.
I really love these line titles.
 So cool.

I painted some of the "Triangle Clusters" and the "Tiny Triangle Clusters"
in a vivid blue and added these in a triangular shape around my photo.

Another bright happy layout celebrating a gorgeous friend of mine.
So that's it from me today.
I hope you enjoyed the extra inspiration today.

Tammy's April Shares......PLUS VIDEO Tutorial

Hi 2Crafty fans.
This month I'm sharing two layouts, and one includes a VIDEO layout!
So let's start with that one.
It's titled...

"Living the Dream"

Yep lots of colour!!!

This photo was taken on our recent family trip to the USA, specifically in Houston.
Oh how I loved this wall!!
 2Crafty Chipboard Used..
"Circle Stack Frames"
"Stars"
"ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars"
"Chevron Bits"
"Living the dream title"

I painted the "Living the Dream" title black.

I also painted some of the "Stars" black too, plus a few of the gorgeous little stars in the
 "ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars".

Some of these starts I then applied Glossy Accents to give them a resin like finish.

As I was working with a lot of bright colour, I wanted to add quite a bit of black to my layout.
This gave it a 'grungy' feel rather than a rainbow feel, and also really grounded the page.

I painted some of the "Circle Frames" in a lime and vibrant blue.

To grunge these up a little, I added some random stamping with black ink.

I painted some of the "Chevron Bits" in orange, and then added
some black ink to keep with the grunge feel.

Here's the link to the process VIDEO so you can watch how my layout came together.....
You will see I changed my mind on colours as I went!

"A Moment Captured"

Another bright layout.

 2Crafty Chipboard Used:
"Circular Panel"
"Trudi's Vine"
"A Moment Captured Title"
"ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars"

I just love that floral border called "Trudi's Vine".
I painted this black and placed it down the left side of my layout.

It's just gorgeous!

I also painted the "A Moment Captured title" in black.

I cut out some circles from the "Circular Panel" and painted some in pink and
some in yellow to go with the colour theme of my layout.

I also painted some of the little hearts from the
"ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars"  pack in pink and yellow too.

This is quickly becoming one of my favourite pieces of chippy,
and is appearing on most of my layouts.

I love how they fill in those little spots and bring the layout together.

I added the painted chippy around the vine piece and then added more embellishments -
flowers, brads, tags, quotes, acrylic pieces, and flairs.

I have used a flair and some cool musical quotes and
acrylic music notes all from Kit the Habit.

Well that's it from me!

I hope you enjoy my bright, colourful and fun layouts.
