"august"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

This summer we visited "Collioure" a charming little town in the department of the Pyrénées Orientales in France. I fell in love and especially I loved the facades of the houses and the doors also with multiple colors, flowery and full of charm.

I was tempted to make a presentation, so this is a first, I hope you will like it.

"august"

The 2Crafty chipboard used:

- Corner Ivy
- Polaroid Asst Frames
- Mini Bicycles
- Mini-Word Set 2
- Fine Word Set - Month

I first apply a layer of white gesso on each chipboard.

For the chipboard "Corner Ivy", I sprayed the ink "Rusty Lantern Lime" of Lindy’s Gang,
it shines slightly and brings a nice finish to the chipboard.

To fix it I raised the upper part with cardboard a little meticulous but it works perfectly,
the ivy leaves are just laid on the photos.

To frame a photo, I use the chipboard "Polaroid Asst Frames" I wanted to get closer to the color of the pavers of the floor, I superimposed several shades of wax including rust and bronze.

For the titles, I used an extra-white paint, like the background of my paper
and so they stand out perfectly.

For the bike, I proceed in the same way as the polaroid, and I place it at the bottom of my page,
I thought that this place was made for him.

As always, I loved creating with these beautiful chipboards.

Thank you for stopping by, and hope to see you again very soon... on this site.

Remember This Moment
With Lisa Amiet

Hello all!
It's Lisa here on the blog today, to share some scrappy goodness with you.

I have created a layout using a photo of my daughter and her friend.

I have used the following 2Crafty Chipboard pieces:

I have used some of the 'Diamond Chunk Bits',
that I have left raw to coordinate with the colours and feel to my page.
I have added them in among my layers and elements.

I have also used one of the polaroid frames from the 'Polaroid Assorted Frames' set,
tucked in with my photo.

I have cut up one of the 'Crazy Stitched Panels' and adhered it across my page.
I have also used one of the 'Steampunk Gears Medium',
that I have inked black.

I am really happy with how this layout turned out,
a bit of industrial girl grunge :)
I hope that you like it too!

Until next time

Lisa

Delight in the every Moment
by Tammy Klingner

Hi there creative folk!

Tam here today to share my latest chipboard creation....

'Delight in Every Moment'

Love the way those rainbow butterflies pop against the black!!

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

'Anthea's Butterflies'
'Fine and Fancy Butterfly Set'
'Polaroid Assortment Frames'
*NEW* 'Delight in Every Moment Title'

To create that rainbow effect on both 'Anthea's butterflies' and 'Fine and Fancy Butterfly Set', I firstly coated them with white gesso.
Once dry, I added watercolours to colour them, and I worked in a striped fashion.
The colours bled together a tiny bit, but this just adds to the gorgeous effect.

I did need to do a couple of coats to get the boldness in the colours.
If you know my work, you know I LOVE COLOUR!!

I coated the 'Polaroid Assorted Frame' in acrylic paint and then swiped some wipe paint around the edges.
Simple yet effective.

As I had so much colour going on, I decided to keep my 'Delight in Every Moment title' simple and white.
It pops off the page.
I love the fineness in the title font - it's a NEW one!

I hope this colourful layout has inspired you today.

Here's my Blog if you'd like to take a look at some more colourful creations.

Much creative love

PROCESS VIDEO with Tam

Hi 2Crafty Creatives!

Tam here today to share a layout and a PROCESS VIDEO!
It's titled:

"Find your Tribe"

This layout is full of rainbow colour and celebrates my girl and her recent trip to Canberra with the National Youth Science Forum.
A real honour and thrill for her, and a highly sought after experience.

I've created a PROCESS VIDEO so you can see exactly how to create that rainbow
 background and embellishments.

Here it is:

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

"Frames Flowers"
"Polaroid Assorted Frames"
"My Tribe Title"

I began by adding black gesso to the "Frames Flowers" and then I used white pen to create a stitched look.

This made a great contrast to the rainbow background.

To the  "My Tribe" title, firstly I removed the 'my' - it just suited the story better.

I then applied white gesso and used the same colour watercolours that I had used in the background to coat each letter.
Conveniently there were 5 letters and 5 colours.
This was just a fluke, but I had one of those YES moments when I realised it would work!

Finally, I added some black pen marks to highlight it and add to the fun feel of the layout.

I used three different sized "Polaroid Assorted Frames".
I coated them with white gesso and then again added watercolours.
This time I allowed them to bleed into each other.

I created one in full rainbow, which I attached on top of the photos, to draw attention to my girl.

I created one in blues and greens, and one in reds and oranges.
I made sure I placed them on their respective sides of the layout, so they went with the background.
This just creates flow.
If I'd placed them on the opposite sides they would have 'fought' with the background colour.

I again added pen marks to look like stitching.

There you have it!
A fun and vibrant layout that definitely suits a bunch of teenagers!!!

Seeya later in the month with more chippy inspiration.

'Feathered Friend'
by Tammy Klingner

Hi Chippy Fans.

Tam here today to share my latest with you....

It's called:

"Feathered Friend"

So important to scrap our family pets.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:
"Feathered Friend" Title
"Geometric Arrows"
"Assorted Arrows"
"NEW Aztec Feathers"
"Tree with Sparrows"

I coated the "Geometric Arrows" and "Assorted Arrows" with black acrylic paint.

To the "Feathered Friend Title" I applied white gesso and then added a teal coloured acrylic paint to the top part.
Whilst still wet I applied yellow acrylic paint to the bottom and then blended the two colours in the centre to achieve that green colour.

I really love that ombre effect and so simple!!

I selected the colours as these are the colours of our pet budgie 'Milo',  as the photos are black and white, I felt it important to include his colours.

I even included some of his feathers - don't worry I didn't pull his feathers out, they were in the bottom of his enclosure! Lol.

I followed the same technique as above with both the gorgeous NEW 'Aztec Feathers' and the little bird from the 'Tree with Sparrows'.
I just added in some swipes of black ink and some pen marks.

How GORGEOUS are those new feathers? So much intricate detail!

Finally I painted a couple of the smaller frames from the "Polaroid Assorted Frames" with white gesso and then stamped some random triangular shapes on them, before tucking them into the layers.

That's it from me today, I'll see you next time.

Until then you can find me on my BLOG.

Luv Tam
