"Love This Moment"
Layout by Karan Gerber

Hello 2 Crafty Friends

Its Karan here to host the blog for you today and I have a
layout I designed to share with you.

"This Moment"

I have said it before that titles that Vanessa designs for 2Crafty are just amazing,
like this one here on this layout.
 This Moment

The detail on this chipboard title was achieved by using Emerald Creeks Baked
Embossing Powders designed by Seth Apter. This one is Taos Sunset mixed with a
bit of Rust.
These powders when heated give this unique layer  to the chipboard and
really enhances the curves.

The heart was take apart to create three layers, I did two of the hearts with
baked Patina Oxide, it gives a color of rusted metal and looks pretty awesome.

The hand drawn heart and the gate were done the same way, I added
gold wax to the gate to give it added texture.

The thicker heart (which is actually the negative piece that holds the two Hand-drawn
Hearts together)  was given two coats of rust powder and I dabbed a bit of gold wax on top.

I cut the Elsa Frame in half after giving it some texture and placed
each one on either end of the photo.

I decided to go over some of the chipboard and highlight with a dab of Vintage Wax Gold,
I love how this turned out, hope I've inspired you to get scrapping!!

"Just love our Story" by Marie Sabatier

My second inspiration for this month of October. Let's forget that it's autumn.
With this picture of my second son and his girlfriend I wanted colors.

It's so beautiful to love ...

To highlight my picture I chose the chipboards Handdrawn-heart-frames
They are great that allows to frame well.

I applied a layer of white gesso on it and then a Twilight Blue Slate and a Midnight Sapphir color embossing powder.

For other chipboards I also applied a layer of white gesso that I covered with lilac ink to match with the bottom of my paper and bring softness and a little wax for a touch of shine

To remember do not forget the year!!!!

And for the hearts I applied Cuckoo Clock Cardinal color embossing powder

As always to finish the embellishments that will bring out these beautiful chipboards

The chips used:

- Just love our story
- Handdrawn-heart-frames
- LOL
- Tiny leaf stems
- 2018
- ATC-Tiny-Hearts et Stars

Here is another moment of pleasure that I hope to have shared with you

See you soon!

'You Shine' By Rachael Funnell

Hello 2 Crafty fans!

Rach with you today sharing this layout, filled with 2 Crafty Chipboard goodness....
A layout featuring my gorgeous girl (I know I'm a bit biased 😏)

'You Shine'

The 2 Crafty Chipboard used:
You Shine
Fairy Set 1
Handdrawn heart frame
2018
ATC - Tiny Hearts & stars

With the Chipboard piece 'You Shine' I first added some
glue then dripped it in some pink glitter...

The soft & delicate Handdrawn heart frame I have used to frame the photo,
I have heat embossed it with  'Rose Quartz' .....

The ATC - Tiny Hearts I have inked with black ink so they
stand out  more against the lighter background....

Could not resist using one of the newly released pieces.
This beautiful Fairy from Fairy Set 1...
First gave it a couple of coats of gesso, then dripped the edges in gold glitter!

Another newly release chipboard 2018,  also has a couple of coats of gesso.....

That's it for me today, I'll be back later on in the month...
Till then, HAPPY Crafting....

April Inspiration with Bec - Video Tutorial

Hi everyone, today I have my April shares.
My theme of this post seems to be blue and pink layouts. I didn't even realize I'd made 2 similar coloured layouts until I was putting this post together. I do love this colour combo though.

Remember Moments Like This

This layout has a process video tutorial to go with it to show you how I
made the layout. I hope you enjoy my video

This is the 2Crafty Chipboard I used on the layout

Handrawn Hearts
Remember Moments Like This Title
Brick Panel
Roxy's Flourish Vine

I used Prima acrylic paints on the chipboard in this layout, they are perfect to colour chipboard.

Always Follow Your Dreams

Up first is a very floral layout with a mixed media background

This is the 2Crafty Chipboard I used on the layout

Grid Panel
Frame Madeline's Flourish
Leafy Silhouettes
Always Follow Your Dreams

On the Grid Panel I first coloured with white embossing powder, then I randomly sprinkled Lindy's Gang Desert Moon Turquoise embossing powder on with while the white was still hot.

I treated the Frame Madeline's Flourish and title Always Follow Your Dreams the same way as the Grid Panel. Only instead of turquoise embossing powder I used Lindy's Gang Raspberry Lemonade embossing powder. I like to randomly add the coloured embossing powder because I think it gives more interest to the chipboard pieces.

On the Leafy Silhouettes I also used the  Lindy's Gang Desert Moon Turquoise embossing powder but this time I just added it to the raw chipboard to make the colour come out much darker.

Thanks for visiting

December Inspiration with Kripa & Video Tutorial

'Life is Amazing'

Hello creatives, this month, 2crafty chipboard is sponsoring Kraft Plus Challenge
I'm not sure if this a scrapbook layout or an art journal page, but its perfect as the first
page of my family scrapbook album.
My project is based on their mood board which you can see here.

Here is a close up of the focal point of the page made using 4 pieces from the  Family Symbols Set & a heart from the ATC hearts & stars set.All the chipboard pieces were first treated with white gesso and then painted over. On the left is a shaker frame made with one of the smaller frames from the Polaroid Assortment Frames set. Here is a tip : To ensure the tiny star sequins don't slip through the shaker frame, seal it around with washi tape.
Ive tucked a Handrawn heart frame behind this to frame the focal point. Now to the 'Life is Amazing' title piece because of which I decided not to use any photos on this layout. I had been saving this for my gratitude journal but the moodboard at Kraft Plus Challenges provided the perfect inspiration to use it on a 12x12 layout.

I hope you enjoy the video of how this page came together.

2Crafty Supplies Used:
  • Family Symbols
  • Life is Amazing Title
  • Frame Handrawn hearts
  • ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars
  • Polaroid Assortment Frames

Altered Paint brush

My second project was literally inspired by the Modern Swirls chipboard
For some reason it reminded me of music and a brush stroke.

To begin, the paintbrush & all the chipboard pieces were coated with white gesso.
The keyhole piece was treated with a mixture of crackle paste & texture paste.
I then applied paints on the gessoed paintbrush using a palette knife to create some texture.

For the chipboard pieces though, I dabbed the paint with a make up sponge so that the paint application would be even and smooth. Finally, some micro beads, sequins & glitter.

2crafty chipboard Used:
- Angel Wings
-Modern Swirls
- Keyholes & Locks
- Pointed Doily Frames
- Steampunk gears small

Thank you for visiting us today.
Happy creating.

June Shares Including a VIDEO TUTORIAL
by Rachael Funnell

'Adore'

Hello! 2 Crafty FANS...
Rachael with you today sharing two layouts I created this month....
My first page 'Adore' is of my girl....

2Crafty Chipboard Used...
ATC Tiny Butterflies
Mini Branches
Beaded hearts border
Adore word from Mini word set 2
Large Film strip
Element set 1
Arrowed heart

Leaving the large film strip, Arrowed heart & a few of the ATC tiny Butterflies raw,
I think  worked really well with my base page....  I did however ink the edges of the
Tiny Butterflies with black ink, just to give them a little bit more definition...

Cutting one of the Elements in half, inking black & placing a piece at either end of Large film strip.

Also! inking black some of the Mini Branches...

Had a little strip of the Beaded heart, left over sitting in my stash & thought it would
 go perfectly on this page...
First I added a coat of gesso, then a light layer of teal....

Same gesso teal treatment to the Adore word from Mini Word Set 2....

For my second layout...... of  Me & my family!

'Love is in the Air'
