"This is my Happy Face"
Layout by Marie Sabatier

Hello everyone,

Here is my second inspiration for this month of March,
a colourful and cheerful layout with the dazzling smile of my grandson Leo.

I used a brand new chipboard "Thin Rectangle Stacked Frames". Superb!
There are also square and hexagonal I can’t wait to try them.

"This is my Happy Face"

The 2Crafty Chipboard used:

- This is my Happy Face
- Thin Rectangle Stacked Frames
- Squiggly Heart Cluster

The chipboard comes in 3 parts, I used the largest part.

As always, I prepare the chipboard by applying a layer of white gesso.

After choosing the paper I decided to put a simple layer of acrylic paint color
 "Mermaid Sparkle" on the frame. Then I added some paper and interlaced the colors.

The frame gives character to the layout, by its grandeur and originality.

I then placed my photo and created two clusters of embellishments on each side of the frame.

On my title I add powder to emboss white color. Then some green paint stains.
He finds his place wonderfully.

Voluntarily, I cut the chipboard in half.

With one part I create a bunch at the bottom of my page and the other part I drag it into my cluster.

This layout makes me smile, I hope for you too!

Thank you, see you soon.

Our Sweet Girl by Tania Ridgwell

Hello there!

Tania joining you today to share the my last DT project for November.
 I have created a layout to share with you all.

"Our Sweet Girl"

2 Crafty Products Used:

*Our Sweet Girl Title
*Frame Handrawn Hearts
*Squiggly Heart Cluster
*Mini Flourish Bits

I used the beautiful Mintay Birdsong Paper Collection to create the base for for my layout.

I tried something a little different with some the chipboard for this layout and sponged on some Colour Blast Envy Texture Paste to the Handrawn Hearts Frames and Squiggly Heart Cluster and I like the way it gave patches of colour here and there on the chipboard pieces.  I coloured the Mini Flourish Bits and Our Sweet Girl chipboard with Gilded Apricot Opal Polish.
I tucked my photo in between the Handrawn Hearts and placed it in the centre of the page.  I embellished along the bottom of the photo with flowers and fussy cut elements and then tucked in the Squiggly Heart Cluster.

  I tucked in the Mini Flourish Bits chipboard in amongst the flower clusters.
To finish off my page I added the Our Sweet Girl title.

Thats' all from me today, I hope I have inspired you all with my Layout.  Until next time thanks so much for stopping by.

Tania xx

A Love Story
by Tammy Klingner

Hi there 2Crafty Chipboard fans!

Tam here to share today, and this one's titled:

"A Love Story"

A layout about our newest member of our family, Ziggy who we recently gave a furever home to.

I used the following 2Crafty Chipboard:

'A Love Story Title'
'Squiggly Heart Cluster'
'Frame Handrawn Hearts'
'ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars'

I applied white gesso to the 'Frame Handrawn Hearts', and the 'Squiggly Heart Cluster'  and left them at that!

I cut up the 'Squiggly Heart Cluster' and poked it around the photos.

I also applied white gesso to some of the hearts from the 'ATC Tiny Hearts and stars' pack.
Once dry, I added watercolours - the same colours as I used in the background.

For the 'A Love Story title', I did the same technique, however I let the colours blend, to give an ombre effect.

I've been doing this quite a bit lately  and I just love how it looks and I love that it ties the background and the title together.

That's it from me today, I hope you've enjoyed this painty creation!

I'll see you again next month.

Until then, I hope you throw some paint around and capture some of your stories.

Ballet by Sabrina Turpin

Hello 2Crafty fans and happy new year to each and everyone of you!

For my first reveal of 2019, I am presenting you a layout featuring my sweet daughter, Mila, who asked me for a creation about one of her passion in life, ballet.

 I also went with a color palette that matches her outfit colors. She was pretty happy with the results so this was a great vote of confidence to share it with you guys!

On the "Funky Leaf Swirls", just behind the text, I applied indigo embossing ink and dabbed some copper embossing ink on top of it.

I inked the "Foliage Set 5", at the top of the picture, with gray-beige ink.

On the "Ballet" title, that includes the ballerina, I applied white and blue embossing enamel.

I left the "Squiggly Heart Cluster" to their natural chipboard color as it blends well with everything else.

On this page, I used the following 2Crafty chipboards:

Ballet [gw0008]
Squiggly Heart Cluster [pa0028]
Funky Leaf Swirls [m00539]
Foliage Set 5 [m00802]

That's all for today.
 Again, I wish you the best 2019, filled with amazing creations and everything you wish for
! I'll be back soon with more inspiration.

'Love' layout by Hetty Hall

'Love'

Hey everyone and welcome to the 2Crafty blog and my first share for September.
I used a number of gorgeous chipboard pieces on this layout which are shown below.

- Squiggly Heart Cluster
- Leafy Twig Branches
- Mini Branches
- Grid Panel
- Mini words 2

A close up of the 'Squiggly Heart Cluster' such a gorgeous chippie, which I painted in some dusty pink with a paint dabber, it added a touch of colour to match the bit of colour in the photo.

Some distress embossing powder was added to the 'Leafy Twig Branches' and the 'Mini Branches' in different colours for visual interest and texture.

I layered the 'Grid Panel' amongst all the flowers and other embellishments. I think it creates more visual interest and  helps put the focal point on the photo.

The background paper is from 13@rts. I also added some pieces of corrugated cardboard, cheese cloth and lace for more texture.

Some tiny beads were added for the finishing touch.

So that is it for me for now.
Please pop back tomorrow for some more awesome '2Crafty Chipboard
 inspiration from the rest of the team.

Until next time....

Hugs

Hetty

March Inspiration with Kripa Koushik

'Smile'

 My first share this month is a canvas which now sits on my son's desk.
I love how easy it is to create texture and interest just by layering chipboard pieces.

 To begin, I collaged some papers on the canvas and added texture paste and paints.
 On top of this I've built layers of chipboard on top of each other and tucked under
 the layers behind the photograph.

All the chipboard pieces were coated with white gesso. Then, except the
checkerboard clumps, the rest of the pieces were painted on using
Colourarte Acrylic Silks. Some checkerboard clumps were left plain,
 the rest were painted on with a brush loaded with Twinkling H2Os (watercolour).

 2crafty chipboard used:
* Summertime
 * Filmstrip Tiny
* Gears Medium
* Checkerboard clumps
* Steampunk gears tiny
* Steampunk gears small

 'Love these kids'

The next project is a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout of my kids with something
 out of my comfort zone - a lot of visible journalling..

In order to have lots of space for journalling, I centred the photograph and extended
 the layout horizontally using the pretty Squiggly Hearts Cluster. Under the
Squiggly Heart Cluster on either side is a Film Strip - Tiny. Ive cut to
Sequins negative bits in two and tucked it around the photograph.

 I wanted the {heart}in the title - I just {heart} these kids next to the photograph,
so I cut it in two and layered them one below the other. All the chipboard pieces have
 been altered the same way - first a layer of white gesso and then painted on with
Colourarte Vivid Ultra Metallics using a make up sponge.

2crafty chipboard used:
* Film Strips - Tiny
* Squiggly heart cluster
* Sequins Negative Bits
* I just {heart} these kids - Title

Thank you for visiting us today.
Happy creating,
Kripa
