'Love You Long Time'
Layout By Rachael Funnell

'Love You Long Time'

Hello Everyone!
Rachael with you today sharing my first 2 Crafty layout for January 2020....
This layout featuring a photo of my teenage son & myself....

2 Crafty Chipboard pieces used:

Fine leaf bush
Messy Square
6x4 phrase sticks Set 4
Ornate Chuncky Heart
Foilage set 1

First up this Ornate Chucky heart
I have heat embossed this gorgeous heart with a teal...

This frame I have sitting on my photo and another chipboard piece I
heat embossed is the Messy Square with a nice mid blue!

Using two types of foilage for this layout
The Foilage set 1 & Fine leaf bush
Where I've inked a few of  Foilage set 1 with green ink!

And for a diferent contrast I have given a Fine leaf bush
a thick coat of gesso before cutting into smaller
pieces & placing them thoughout my flower clusters.....

AND lastly but certainly not least, is one of the strips from
the  6x4 phrase sticks Set 4 - Love you long time,
where I have lightly painted on some gesso..

TIP: If you do end up getting any gesso in any of the letters,
which I did with a couple...
I just grab my craft knife and traced over each letter
& it seem to removed most of that gesso!

That's it from me today!
Until next time...

Stay Curious - Altered Canvas
By Karan Gerber

HI Friends welcome to the 2 Crafty Chipboard Blog today.
It is Karan Gerber here hosting the blog and I have na altered canvas to share with you.

I was rummaging through some old kits this week and came across some older
Graphic 45 Curiosity Shoppe papers and stickers (remember that collection) I
thought it would be perfect for a project, so here is what i have for you today.

"Stay Curious"

I just love using clocks, and cannot get enough of them. Our lives are run by a clock,
our work day, our appointments; when we sleep and when we rise, when we eat; all
determined by the those little hands on the clocks! that is why I love using clocks!

I wanted to use the geometric arrows as a clock hand but the glass bottles were
already glued on so I turned them on their end and love that.

Some detail images......

 Until Next Time: Happy Scrapping!

2 Crafty Chipboard used..
  Key to my Heart title
Frame heart String
Bird set
 Funky Arrow
 Bead hanging hearts
  Foliage set 1

I started off with giving a coat of gesso to most of these chipboard pieces...
Then decided that the bird, the bead hanging hearts & the title Key to my Heart
  looked good left as is...

After the gesso dried on the Foilage, from Foilage set 1 then gave it a good coat of
texture paste & finish it with by adding some teal & green colors!

Around my photo, I've used the larger Frame heart string... Once the coat of
gesso dried  I then added some pink to the frame!

I inked this Funky Arrow with Silver ink & it ended up getting a few white splatters,
Which I  ❤️  the end result!!

My second layout ...
"Cherish"

2 Crafty Chipboard used:
which include a couple of the new released pieces

Fine word set 1– Cherish
Humming bird
Arrowed Heart
Circle dot frame
Beaded heart border
2016

I Sooo ❤️ the Fine words... I started off with adding a coat of gesso to the
 Fine word - Cherish
then a coat of gel medium & the finish with some pink mist spray...

Gave a coat of gesso to this Circle dot frame & finished it with a few pastel color crystals!
I think it looks SO PRETTY....

Another new FAVORITE of mine from the new released range is the GORGEOUS
Humming bird  SO pretty & delicate!!
I started with a VERY light coat of gesso & finished it off with a rainbow of watercolors....
VERY HAPPY with how it turned out...  :)

Once the coat of gesso dried on this Beaded heart border, cut it in half
& placed it either side of my page....

2016 has been inked with some silver ink, Arrowed Heart with some light purple ink!

Just before I go today!
I thought I would also share this ATC that I created as part of my DT work for
More Than Words - Mini Challenge..
I have used a Bubble Word - Fun & gave it a coat of gesso then while still wet added
some pink glitter & finished with adding to the back, a layer of black cardstock so that the
word FUN would stand out more...

February Shares With Rachael Funnell

Hello 2 Crafty Chipboard fans!

Before I continue...
Please remember to become a blog follower & leave a comment to
be eligible to go in our monthly draw for a great chippie prize pack.
The more comments you leave, the more chances to win.

Today!
I have two layouts to share with you..... first up is layout one.

'Cousins'

These are the 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces I've used on this page...

I gave this "Cousins"word a couple of coats of gesso, then cut & inked with black a heart from a "Heart clumps" & added that heart to where the dot for the i was.....
I also cut 2 more smaller clusters of hearts from the "Heart Clumps" & inked them in black....

I cut some "Sequins negative bits" into smaller pieces, gave them a coat of gesso & once dried I thought it would look cool to ink them a few different colors & added them randomly onto my layout....

I have few Tiny hearts from the "ATC - Tiny Hearts & Stars" some have a coat
of gesso & the others I've inked black...
For the"Lattice Leaves" I started off by adding a coat of gesso & finished it with
just a light inking with a teal ink....

I didn't want it to over power the photo when using the "Lace heart frame" so I just
gave it just one coat of gesso...

For my 2nd layout!

'Truly Madly Deeply'

These are the 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces I've used on this page...

I cut into smaller strips the  "Fine Heart border"& inked black...

Lightly coated this "Tattered Heart" & finished off with randomly inking it with some teal ink....
Like in my first layout I have added Tiny hearts from "ATC - Tiny Hearts & Stars"
this time gave them a coat of 13@rts gold ink......

Adding  a just a single coat of gesso to these leafy stems from the "Foilage set 1"

Again I started with giving the "Truly Madly Deeply" a couple of coats of gesso,
I wanted to make the title to stand O.U.T a little more so I inked the hearts pink & teal...

To finalize this layout, I gave it all a good splatter with black mist which ended up getting most
of the chipboard pieces & finished off this page off very nicely....  :)

That's it from me today...Thanks for stopping by!
I will be back next month, till then Happy Scrapping!
